I don't know the mechanics of atomizers, but I have no reason to lie. I honestly started this conversation to understand why people are using cartomizers since atomizers last so long. I bought atomizers from various companies (iattys from Imeo, 510s/901s from VaporKings, 510s from Healthcabin and some 510s from Nhaler.

How long do atomizers typically last for you??

YA Boom, all that has to happen is for the adhesive (glue) to break down a little bit under the heat then you will be vaping it, best is to remove the sticker for sure and sand off the glue then clean with chemical and rinse off, in my opinion

There are adhesives inside the carto too, especially with vapornine cartos. I don't see it as a huge issue, but it is probably better to remove them for the most part.

One could also make that argument against heating up polyfill. And becareful of microshavings from drilling out the carto. Those can get stuck in the poly too.

Should people remove the sticker? YES
Will I always? Probably not.

Will be a moot point for me hopefully when our special cartos come out, assuming that they don't cost an arm and a leg.

And to answer your question:
I have been getting 4 days out of a carto. Some pop, some I just replace because they get gunky after a while... I've boiled a few out and they are still good to go. I think a person could get a good week out of them if they were vigilant.

HV atties last less than two days for me.. but I'm cursed.

My sticker rarely peels off. If it does peel off, it's at the part where you screw on the small cap at the top o-ring. If it starts to peel off, I toss it out and get a new one.
At that point the glue has already been exposed to the liquid, and you've probably vaped some.
When you drill a hole in a carto with the sticker on, you break the integrity of the sticker. Liquid can easily leech into the glue around the hole.
I switched to vaping because I was done risking my health with analogs. I am not going to risk inhaling Chinese glue in order to save a few minutes.

i6 last me about 3 weeks. i7 about a week. Haven't popped an i3 ever, but I rarely use them anymore. Low resistance atties I can get about 3 weeks also. Cartos I can get easily 3 weeks. I only toss them out when their performance starts to drop off too much and get gunky/nasty. I haven't popped a carto yet and use them almost exclusively at 6 volts.

It all depends Zaiden how I'm using my Attys under what volts and what juice I'm running through them, darker juice burns them out quicker and gunks them up faster but usually I will get a couple weeks maybe out of an Atty, and I have gotten 2 months out of a few as a well. The manufacturers dont make them to last and if they did they wouldn't sell nearly the amount they are and I dont think they will ever want them to last a year they would be out of business in no time flat, it wold be like a cigarette manufacturer making a cigarette that smoked for a year, ( they wouldn't sell but a pack to each customer every 2 years ) see my meaning here. Just my opinion and $0.02 Zaiden

A bought a number of atomizers through various suppliers. I feel that most LR and XHV attys last me about 3-4 weeks. Regular atomizers last me about 2 months. I only use XHV attys and cant comment totally on LR attys. To be honest atomizers can last from 1 day to months. This is a question that will have many different answers from users. I had atomizers go becouse i didnt know how dry they were and when i tasted burntness and add a few drops of liquid it would pop from being too hot and cool liquid added. Im sure others will comment and let you know their success~

Also i wanted to let you know that the I7 V1, lasted me the longest for dripping but they are not around anymore. The I7v2 is mainly made for the AFSv2 and not for dripping....

I only use the soft top carto's in my AFS, no glue around the cap edge and always remove my sticker, if you dont mind vaping glue everyone then leave it on, no big deal, however my personal choice is to remove them. I have seen people who have inhaled adhesives that have worked in a factory for years and what it's done to them, especially in Formica shops, the guys who do the adhesives are always wearing mask, it even says right on all adhesives ( DO NOT INHALE) right on the side of the tube or can, so I'm just not going to do it, period, end of story for me.!!

Keon,

i7 v1 has the same specs as i7v2 accept for the holes I believe, if not please tell me what specs are different I would like to know this??? As I have said Attys are not meant to last for a year or more and if anyone has one that has lasted a year, they are very very lucky or a very light vaporer. Even the Janty company only gives a six month warranty and one company gives a year but that is a total shame and only a marketing ploy to get your business in my opinion.

I have taken apart several v4l coolcarts and the only place I've seen adhesive is the sticker. The cap isn't glued on and the coil is soldered on.

There was definately adhesive holding my caps on. Had to scrape it out. I was using prefilled ones, if that makes a difference.

EDIT: Mine are vapornine.. not V4l

A bit left field of this conversation, but the coils in carto's would be extremely easy to replace if the connection end was threaded onto the body.

Way off topic, how long do your Tenergy 3V RCR123a's last?
I put a freshly charged pair (3.3V and 3.4V) at 12pm. At 1:35pm, after maybe 30 puffs, they stop firing the carto. The voltages read 2.69 and 3.40V.
That isn't normal, right?

nope, no good. You should get a lot more time and more inhales then 30 my friend. Normally those should last at least three hours of heavy vaping (100 puffs an hour). toss the one that reads 2.69 and get a good one! To test if your batties are fine do the following:
1.) charge until light is green;
2.) let them sit 2 hours or so without using;
3.) put them back in the charger and when the light is not green again, they are to be dumped as they do not hold there charge.

Thanks, I'll do that when they run out again. I just got these batteries on Friday, and they are the only ones that I have for 6V vaping, so I will keep them until I can order more from Rob.

The ECF is for 18 years and older. If you want to tell fairy-tails I would suggest you join the Mickey Mouse club!
The last thing ECF needs is to let kids in. Claiming 4 atties have lasted 9 months is like claiming your dad is the king of England, even though you live in the US. :D

Does it snow in Amsterdam often? Or was I lucky to see it when I was there 12/30/09 - 01/05/10?

Guys, Zai dont say fairy tails, he has no reason, he has just got a good atomizer, thats all as I see it. Maybe China made a mistake and solder it in the "wrong" way:lol:

Then he should send it ASAP, special delivery to you Imeo, so you can take it apart and duplicate it!!!!!!
