I have just 1 question..... If you are on probation, you are constantly having problems with cops. Why let something like this escilate to a run in with the cops? Why not just put your e-cig in your pocket and say OK and walk away?? It kinda looks likde you just like getting into arguments.

If you read my original post you'll see I wasn't looking to cause I scene, I just wanted to have a smoke while I ate. My rights as an American???

And to the cops in this town I got a cliche but straight up song for them
YouTube - N.W.A .... DA POLICE

Now I aint saying all cops are ......s, I've met 2 good ones, but I've been arrested for a fight THAT I WASN'T IN, Got accused of robbing my own apartment WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE insurance, Just last week a cop entered my apartment and searched my apartment WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, ACCUSED ME, THAN SEARCHED FOR DRUGS, AND I DON'T EVEN SMOKE WEED. I got arrested before when my dad attacked me and I fought back (cause I had to). And now this. I got so much on my record for **** that I didn't even do. I swear to god.

So I've been in Jail 5 times so far and only one time I can I say I actually did the crime!!! And because of these FUKED UP cops next time I get in trouble it's a felony AND I GO TO PRISON.

Just aint right. I hate these cops in this town.

By society's standard I'm an outstanding citizen. I have a kid LIVING IN MY APARTMENT RIGHT NOW who I've been letting stay at my place rent free because he's got nowhere to go and he's a good kid, and I aint gonna let him be homeless. I donate to charities once a week. I volunteer all the time. I go to old folk homes rarely to sing for them. I got a steady job. I won't even Jaywalk. And I got a felony and next time whether I did it or not I'M GOIN TO PRISON

Lifes a b1tch
And than you marry one

Then WHY aggrivate the situation!! I'm not doing anything wrong F*** Y*** is not a good attitude!

Why? Would you have left being an e-smoker? Would you have left well knowing that your not breaking the law in any way as many of the forum members are ...... off as well about. The difference is that I have a "criminal" history. But I will not back down.

It's just the way I am.

why so rebellious kgone? i would be ...... off too; but if i let every ignorant SOB i encounter on a daily basis get to me i'd be in a whole world of trouble.

i never shy away from confrontation when its worth it, but i gotta say, in this case? not worth it.

good luck with you case though, truly hope it goes well for you.

Thank you for your wishes.
I've run into this cop many times before. I was arrested 3/5 times from him.
I just wanted people to hear my experience in the appropriate section.
This thread is starting to turn into something bitter. I won't reply anymore.

No I would not have left. I would have eaten my food and then walked away whiloe vaping. Actually you WERE breaking the law. You were on Private Property and they asked you to stop doing something. You refused, you were breaking the law! Would be the same thing as someone com ing onto your property and doing something you didnt want them to do and not stopping.

Personal note: Yes I was asked to leave but it's not a publically owned restaurant and I wasn't breaking the law. I was far within my limits as a customer SMOKING A NON CIGGERETTE OUTSIDE
Was it an employee of Sonic or the police that asked you to leave, or was it just another customer?

I thought as a condition of probation and/or parole one must consent to allowing their residence to be searched at any time without a warrant. I know that is how it works here in New York.

I have been in your shows, many years ago. 10 years on the inside and 15 years of paper...

I learned to pick my battles, right, wrong, or indifferent. Some battles are a lose-lose and coming from where we came from we need to take precautions others would not even think of.

I have a mini that looks like an analog that I use when driving or in general public so folks do not think my green LED or blue LED is something other than a cigarette (preventive measure). I use my DSE901 only at home or around folks who know what it is - I educate them first. I do not intentionally use it where smoking is prohibited without first educating folks about it - again, preventive measures. It is our responsibility as pioneer's of this new technology to educate folks and create a positive impression of it's usefulness.

Please keep us posted on the outcome of your situation as I am curious how the courts respond - I pray it works out in your favor.

I would like to know the actual charge. I don't think you ever said it. Its not illegal to smoke outside except maybe in california. Most states have a certain distance from a door or establishment. The OP stated that he was standing away from the building. I don't see a charge here unless it was because he refused to leave a premises.

I agree with the post (two above mine) that talks about having a responsibility, as pioneers. Think about it, the way people perceive this new technology is all up to you, and this might have repercussions if not treated seriously. People all around the world are having first hand experiences with e-cigarettes, whether it through strangers in public or someone you know, and we should all act as "marketers" of e-cigs, in the sense that we are trying to promote this new "thing" in a way that inhibits a positive response.

I know most of us are good about it, but try to keep this in the back of your head! All it takes is one "bad experience" to sway an individual, and according to anyone in the business world, word of mouth is the single most powerful tool of dispersing knowledge... so lets make sure that word of mouth is the good kinds
