Well, if nothing else now i can try the following excuse on my wife, " But babe, I already have these batteries and charger i should get a mod that is made for them! "

Hah, fat chance.

As long as i'm not in danger of hurting the lavatube, I'm still going to use these batteries, but i will be ordering a pair of the right batteries tonight. I too would like to have the option to explore higher voltages, especially since i have some 3.0 ohm cartos and a tank coming in the mail in the next week. I also want to run my lavatube in the most efficient setup possible.

But still, i value the quick input a lot and thanks again for all the replies.

It's hard to go wrong with AW IMR Batteries.

I would not be using those protected batteries on the LT. That's why your cap wont screw all the way down. The LT has built in protection, you want to use some nice Aw IMR's. They are hard to come by right now as they are phasing in the newer 2000 mAh in place of the 1600's, but the new ones should be avail sometime this week. Enjoy your new toy!

I just got two "AW IMR 18650 3.7v 1600mah" bats from superTmanufactuing. They work great.

But are you saying that there will now be available "AW IMR 18650 3.7v 2000mah" batts??? exactly the same type and size of battery, but somehow more cells for a longer charge?

Will those be the new "go-to" batteries for lava tube?

Here is a Link to those 2,000 mAh Batteries.

AW Rechargeable Batteries | AW High Drain Batteries | Best 18650 Batteries | AW 2000 mah high drain batteries

It says the are the Same Size as the AW IMR 18650 1,600 mAh

but how do we know it's not a scam like what happened to volcanoecigs? does provape order DIRECTLY from AW?

and the cells are obviously different, if theyre fitting more mah in the same size batt. so personally, I'll stick with the tried and trusted ones for now. maybe in a year or so if I need new bats I'll get the bigger size. I don't even know why anyone would need that, 1600mah almost gets me 2 days. there's no way in hell I could ever drain a 1600 in one day.

just my 2cents though. happy vapping everyone! :vapor:

Almost two days.. on what unit.. a Provari or LavaTube? Just asking because I have no idea how long to expect my 1600's to last as these are my first. I do know that my 750 mah Riva batts last me all day and my 5v mod that uses two 900 mah batteries last me all day. But this booster type of technology that boosts 3.7 volts is a little different.

You will also be able to get those AW 18650 IRM 2000 mah batteries at RTDVapor. *NEW* AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh

I choose them because they had a much better price on the 1600's than Provape and other companies did. They may be cheaper on these too. Price isn't listed yet.

I've been using AW IMR 18650 3.7v 1600mah in a lava tube.

I tend to stay at 4.3 - 4.7v, sometimes going up to 5.3

I suck on this thing ALL day long, hardly ever putting it down.

Lava tube says it starts at 4.1 (never got any of three batts to say 4.2), I typicly end the day around 3.7, and the lowest I've gotten it in a day is 3.5.

3.5 is where you start to notice a rundown, not enough juice in the bat even though it's regulated. 3.3 is dead.

So I just recharge every night. since i have two batteries in use, I only use a battery every other day.

Hope this helps.

...

You can e-Mail ProVape but the I believe that they deal directly with AW and not thru a Thrid Part.

JSYK - The 2,000mAh 18650 is not some new idea cooked up just to Ride the Lavatube Wave. Provape has been releasing details about them for about the last 3 months.

I read on another thread that AW is actually phasing out the 1600 mah ones and replacing them with the 2000 mah ones.... May be just rumor...

That Wouldn't surprise me.

Why would someone want the 1,600 mAh Ones if the 2,000's were the Same Size with the Same Performance?

I wasn't able to get the starter kit from volcano due to them being out of batteries. So what i did was order the device itself, and then from MadVapes i ordered a pair of 18650 2400 mah flat top protected batteries.

I probably should have done more research beause with these batteries the battery cap will not screw all the way down, But they do in fact work and work well, there is no rattling in the battery tube and it worked right out of the box.

I'm not sure if it's because i'm pushing the button in with a slight sideways cant or what but i feel like the button sticks a half second before it pops out. It doesn't stay on though, as soon as i release the pressure it shuts off then clicks out. I'll try and remember to push straight in. Neither of these issues bother me enough to not want this.

As my first VV device i must say that I absolutely love this. I'm vaping on 2.4-2.6 ohm ultimate CE2s, just normal ce2s with an extruded plastic tube that is more flexible than the ce2 clearos.

I love love love this thing. Why oh why didn't i get this sooner. I can't hardly type this for having a lavatube glued to my hands...I am now the supremely satisified owner of a LavaTube!!

That sticky fire button issue isn't totally uncommon for the silver LT's in particular from the information I received at the Volcano forums as mine is silver and the first question anyone asked....lol. As I was told and figured over time like a day or two depending on the amount of use it will work fine and now mine does. IF you continue to have issues with it to the point that it really bothers you write up a ticket and you will be taken care of....:) That came to me directly from the forum administrator....Congratulations!! :toast: Also, if you haven't, try some 3.0 Boge carts on it....smooth draw, awesome throat hit, warmth and vapor depending on your setting.

I just started a topic about my experience with a sticky button. Thought it would be a good idea to give the "sticky button" its own thread...

Where do you get them from??? Link?

I bought what are listed as boge 2.7ohm from liberty flights. but the box says liberty flights and the cartos themselves are etched "liberty".

I want to make sure i'm using the right ones, and if not, where the heck do I get them?

I just got a silver one in this week and the button does stick on occasion. Have no problems with the button on the black one though. I just put the silver one into daily use, so I'll see if it stops sticking. It's just a once in a while issue now, not with every press.
