If the wick is oxidized does it or can it make a difference if it touches the bottom of the tank? The washer I will be getting tomorrow when the hardware store is open. I tried the other thumb screw to get a little more height.

Yes, I do..... buy two small washers like in the pic above

Took out the juice, cleaned the tank out and switched to another juice and it's working great now! The other was a dark 555 blend, I guess the stainless didn't like it? The new juice is a lighter tobacco/peanut butter mix.
Now can someone explain to me why the resistance changes all the time and does it ever stabilize?

Thanks, that's the exact thread I followed when I set this up, then oxidized the wick again after the suggestion of machine oil, then I did the juice burn, and three ten second burns.
It's working great, I'm just worried if it keeps jumping around like it has been. It's been holding around 1.9-2.2 for the most part.

I have a Smok Telescope coming but I became impatient and made a little box mod from my Vision Eternity box.
Pulled off a few coils to bring it down to 1.0 ohm, working pretty darn good.

Maybe thats why my juice tastes nasty, its a very dark and heavy juice (NLV Renegade) I will try a different juice lighter in color tomorrow. Thanks cause I never would have thought that could be the issue.

hey guys, i have always been a oxidized wick kind of guy. always pre oxidize, roll, burn & quench 3x's then 2x's juice burn. this aways has been working awesome on both my DID'S & aga-t. i would say that this process of oxidizing my wicks would take me around 15 minutes or so. just recieved an ac-9 4 days ago and used my usual set-up for this device, didnt work right. i was getting a kind of burnt taste, but mostly no taste compared to my other gennys. i was not getting any hot spots what so ever, and the wick seemed to be getting plenty of juice to it. regardless, i tried 270 mesh, 325, and 400 instead of the 500 i normally use, not only did i try these different meshes i also tried big center holed wicks, small center hole wicks, thin walled, thick walled etc. nothing worked, still burnt. i then tried 30g ,32g instead of the normal 28g, no difference. i then tried higher resistances, 1.2 all the way to 2.0 ohms, instead of my normal 0.08 to 1.0 ohms. no difference. in the end i over oxidized my wick, probably spent twice the time as i usually do. BINGO, that was the problem. i was getting the right vapor and everything with the ac-9 just a bad flavor. i was not getting any hotspots and no error messages with the provari but still getting no flavor. everything was working fine except the flavor issue and it all was to do with the amount of oxidation of the wick. the DID & aga must not be as picky with this issue or the ac-9 just needs to be more oxidized. now i have heard of the method of no oxidation, to me thats hard to believe, but anyway not sure if this info is valuable to anyone, but just wanted to bring a little info to the table.
