Nah man. I've personally found that this wire actually "seasons" itself to a flavor. I don't dry burn it at all. I just swapped out one coil that I had been using for over a month!

Don't get me wrong. It does get better with age when I run just one juice. That is kinda what I'm saying. I went through 15ml of your juice on one coil and wick and it kept getting better. Then I ran out of poo so I changed up the juice. It took me half way through the second fill up of the new juice on my Grand bottle before it let go of the poo flavor and started to just taste like the new flavor. This was after a thorough cleaning, a good dry burn session, scrub in the sink and rewick. I just change out the coil as well now when I change juice flavors.

Yeah. It doesn't change flavors well. If you do switch flavors, it is better to pull and swap the wick without the dry burn. I don't know why, but any ti,e I have tried to dry-burn to clean a MM coil, it never tastes fresh again.

You are spot-on. Best way to go at it is just swap the whole setup on juice change

I don't have a Kayfun or clone but I would think you would be hard pressed to get this stuff in there from photos I have seen of them.
Although maybe it was bapgood or gdeal that did it, don't remember whom.

:vapor:

I think they did the KFL using the 2-strand version, but don't quote me on that.

I did my kayfun with magic. the kayfun airflow is set up to really bring out and enhance the flavors and that combined with mundy's was just too much flavor overload for me, maybe it's m juice but I couldn't enjoy it at higher power levels at all and pulled it back out that day, no pics, it does fit in the kayfun though no problem

what's the deal with the monkey juice, how can I buy some :)

After 15ml of NEMP my wick/coil was WELL seasoned :D It's like those old school barbecue joints in the south that haven't changed their frying grease in 100 years (absolutely delicious btw).

I wanted to report in on a new technique I've been using, my apologies if this has been covered already. I have been using DZ's jig to wrap my coils and its perfect for getting very tight, pretty looking coils. The issue I was running into was that as soon as I took MM coils off the jig (or released tension) they would spring out and the ID would be larger. MM by nature is very elastic. So while I had the coil on the jig, I held the tension then took my torch to it and it came out beautifully! There was absolutly no spring back and I made the perfect 4 wrap with .055'' ID measuring at .5ohm.

Kris - I had that issue of the wire coiling up on itself when it would break at the chuck, now when I am twisting it up I stop the drill about every 15 - 20sec and let the vise grips spin slowly to release the tension. I found that I rarely break the wire anymore, and when I do the wire doesnt spin and coil on itself

Posted earlier on a double mundy on a Kayfun Lite. Here is a triple mundy (.65ohms) on a Kayfun 3.1 clone.

Kayfun 3.1c 3xMM.jpg

Airflow on the Lite is not enough (IMO) to handle the higher power needed by the triple wire, the 3.1 has much greater airflow and the triple mundy works great!

Trip MM vertical on a Kayfun 3.1 clone with hemp filler.

The coil is a 4-wrap on an 18ga needle weighing in just under 0.9ohm. Vaping this on a custom OKR-t6 mod at 4.1V (~18W) and it hits like a freight train. I'm actually getting that ever elusive nic buzz back with this thing. Amazing!

lol DrMA....wheres that coil  luving the airflow on the 3.1 too.

I've just grown used to the spring-back effect. I actually don't wrap mine with wraps touching anymore. Once i've fired it a couple times, i just stick the jig back in and adjust the legs to tighten the coil.

SeanAP: i'll have to try torching while on the dizzie jig. May save me a step or two. Thanks for the idea!

I guess the coil is kinda hard to see with all that hemp fluff wrapped around. I'll take a pic next time I rewick it.

I agree, the airflow on the 3.1 is definitely nice and more than capable of handling high power coils even with lung hits.

Well I finally got my first Mundy coil up and running :) A big thank you to Mr. Bee for the wire. I did a 5 wrap on the music wire that came in at .76ohms. The flavor has been off the charts. I'm definitely going to be doing a little more reaming on another RM2 today so I can get another one set up.
