I use the biscuit at 1-2 drops per ml with my peach and that seems perfect for me. I would suggest just working with the biscuit and blueberries first then when it taste right start adding in the cream to taste.

I bet that would work. I don't know why, but I've never tried it a drop at a time.

Have you ever done pre-dilution of a strong flavoring? It's way easier to do that than making a large batch to use a small percentage or trying to measure out below a drop for a 5 or 10 mL (something that is near impossible with ammateur equipment). I first start out at 50% pre-dilutions unless the flavor is super duper strong, then I will go as low as 20% and start to add it in a .5% (something I often do with Cardamom).

Haven't tried it before, no, though I recall that was your advice in the diketone thread, about the FW cinnamon danish -- actually I just stuck it in the back of the cabinet and ordered some CAP cinnamon danish swirl which I think is a v2. I just got a few 30ml bottles though, so that would be easy enough to do, with fresh bottles so no old residuals to mess up the basic flavor. Unless it's one that ought to be in glass? Think I've got a couple of amber 30ml's available, and a 60ml too I think. But I gotta get some more of those amber 30mls, those are the ones I prefer to store my freezer stash of nicotine in, and I need more of that before the "goobermint" (forget who said that, but it sure applies) does something drastic to nicotine or online sales of it.

Think a 50% pre-dilution is sufficient for the Biscuit? This is my first encounter with this flavor, and I don't have much more experience with other INW flavors -- loooooooooove dat shisha strawberry, though. :D But any advice on the best use of this flavor would be more than welcome. :thumb:

All this talk about The Biscuit makes me nostalgic for Ally McBeal. :D

I don't know if anyone here cares, but this is where I buy all my PET bottles: 100pcs 10ml Empty Plastic E Juice E Liquid Dropper Bottles Childproof Cap Pet | eBay

It's a couple-week wait from China, but right now they got 100 x 10 mL PET bottles with the thin dripper for $18.72 shipped. Or you can try and win them in an auction for cheaper. Just two days ago I won another lot from this seller for 50 x 10 mL PET bottles for $7 shipped. I did the happy dance!!!!

I really go through bottles. LOL

Yes, I do that sometimes with the diektone flavorings. I did it the other day with CAP Vanilla Custard and I could still very much taste it! Now when I see others using that flavoring as high as 10+%, it makes me a little queezy!

Funny you mention that, I was just sitting here thinking that buying 3-5 at a time just isn't gettng it, anymore. I've just been buying a few at a time of various sizes, as additions onto other orders, anyone that I buy anything from, who also sells bottles; I got the glass ones from Amazon, 6 and 12 packs for a damn decent price, and not bad on the shipping either. I like buying from amazon, for prices, shipping, and using paypal -- got all my syringes there too, in multi-packs. Just wish Amazon and paypal would get their collective head out of their collective nether orifice about e-cigs.

Regarding the drops... I added 3-4 (don't remember exactly, and I was in a hurry sunday morning, so no notes) drops of the biscuit flavoring to 15ml of the blueberry and cream mix I already had, which I found not bad but lacking *something* -- that's why I gave the biscuit a try. But if 3-4 drops in 15ml is too much, and it apparently is, then I really do need to pre-dilute it.

Oh, one other idea I had, as a "complementary" note with Biscuit, since I am going to pre-dilute the biscuit -- I've got some CAP graham Cracker v2, which isn't bad, but it's also one which I think would be best at low percentages. Maybe .5% of that one, along with .5% of the 50% biscuit...? I normally always eat whole wheat, for anything -- I even put a 1/4 cup whole wheat flour in my cornbread, along with self-rising and self-rising corn meal -- so I thought the graham flavor would be one I'd respond to as "familiar," if you get what I mean.

I'm just happy that I finally found the flip cap bottles I'd been looking for. I not only can't open child-resistant caps, I also have problems even screwing caps off sometimes. I'd asked in this forum before, but the only place anyone could find had a really expensive small order fee.

However, someone in the Older Folks and Vaping thread remembered that I'd been looking, and let me know that Fasttech now has them. Not only has them, but has them with a fine tip. I ordered 10 each of 30s and 50s, and if they are what I want I'll be stocking up. :D

What I was looking for:
cap2.jpg

And what Fasttech now has:
cap3.jpg

And, I also ordered today for my mixed base:
basebottles.jpg
Amazon.com: ChefLand Squeeze Bottles with Cap, 12-Ounce, Clear, Pack of 2: Kitchen & Dining

So I should now be a happy vaper with my one handed bottle collection.

You got me all excited with this sale and saying you've heard good things about the caramel and butterscotch (I've been looking for those 2 that are good), then I checked them at BCV and they both have Acetoin and so does the salted caramel so my search is still on.
I just got Inw karamel and HS butterscotch. The karamel doesn't taste like caramel at all, I don't know what it tastes like but it's not caramel. The butterscotch is very light and not much flavor. I mixed 5ml of each at 10% just to try them alone and am not liking it. I'm going to let the butterscotch sit for a few days and see if it gets better and retry the karamel at a lower percentage. Hopefully it will get better.
I did the same test with Cap New York Cheesecake and it is very good, tastes just like cheesecake. I also did the Cap sweet strawberry but haven't tried it yet, I want to do a side by side with the FA strawberry. I'll report back later.

I mixed up some New York cheesecake and FA maple syrup and at first couldn't taste the maple so I added more and now after sitting for a day the maple is pretty strong so I'm going to try again and drop the percentages back down and then let it sit and try again, other than being strong it is really good.
What do u think of NY CHeesecake? My first mix with it came out horrible.

I used it as the dominant flavor - I forget the % maybe 10? I mixed it with Blueberry Extra and some creams - I couldn't even vape it.
Now I mix it at like 4% in all different mixes - ry4 - vanilla custard - and if I make a cheescake I'll do half tfa cheesecake graham cracker and half NY.
I haven't tried it again for a cheesecake mix by itself I'm a little scared lol.

Wow this thread moves fast! Wish I knew about FW Banana Split - oh well next time.
FA Oba Oba - ya that one was just strange. I have no idea what I'll do with it. I think I'll make it alone first then see.

Ok need to finish catching up!

Nobody seems to know what to do with Oba Oba, but it's good as a standalone. Odd, yes.

I did a recipe I called "Basic cheesecake" and was a bit underwhelmed; the flavor itself isn't bad, but the result was very bland, almost not there. I let it steep for about a week, but it still was very bland and almost tasteless. It's still steeping, so I'll try it again later and see if it improves any. This was the recipe -- it's very basic --

CAP NY Cheesecake 10%
TFA French Vanilla Creme 2%
Sweetener 2%

I think I might try adding some TFA Bavarian Cream DX to give it a richer flavor, and maybe TFA Vanilla Swirl (their DX custard) instead of the French Vanilla Creme.

Monica,
I really like the NY cheesecake so far. I mixed a test batch at 10% by itself and thought it was a pretty good cheesecake. I then mixed it with FA maple syrup and it seemed weak so I added more NY and maple but think I overdid it, it was pretty strong after a day. I'm going to try it again and lower the percents a bit and see how it does. I'm pleased with it so far, time will tell as I try some different flavors with it.

Most of my test batches now are 10 mL. So when I want to add more of something, I split it in half into a 5 mL and add in half the amount I would add to the 10 mL. So if I wanted to increase the flavoring by 1%, I'd add in .5% (so on and so forth) but all the other percentages stay the same without doing anything. That way I don't have to adulterate my initial batch test and I can see how my addition effected that batch while still having the other. I started doing this becasue I started adding to my first batch before giving it enough time to see what was up. Funny thing though, most often times the initial batch was closest to correct.

we2rcool cut and pasted some one liners on Oba Oba in this post. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/410699-wow-oba-oba-4.html#post10643601

I think 5 to 7 percent was the most common dosage I saw for it. I was all set to get it and Hypnotic Mist at one time, but had my cart overloaded and something had to give. I may pick up both on my next order.

My common lament: So many flavors, so little time and money lol. :vapor:

I just finished reading this thread from the beginning. I found it because Andria mentioned it on the TFA thread, and since I have a lot of flavors that aren't TFA, I thought I'd enjoy this one too.

I'm very new to DIY, and so far have only tried following recipes. The flavors I have so far are on my blog http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/kathi17/6864-getting-started-diy-juice-list.html .

From what I read a few pages back, I sure am glad I got CAP Sweet Tangerine. I haven't tried it yet, but now I'm really excited about it!

Thanks for reading!!

Unfortunately there are no recipe-gurus here (at least I am not, LOL), just us talking about any flavoring from any manufacturer. I find that recipes rarely work for me, but receiving advice on which flavors are worth looking into is really helpful. I love flavorings from them all!!!

That's one of the reasons this is a great thread. There are so many flavorings out there that it's difficult to decide which ones to buy. Reading the posts about the differences in the strawberry and blueberry flavors was really helpful, and it will be the same for all the other flavors out there.

That was the hardest decision for me when I picked out my flavors. I got some from Wizard, and some from BCV, and the choices were mind boggling. Even though taste is subjective, it helps to read a lot of people's different takes on the flavors, and how some of them work together, and which ones don't.

I like the TFA thread very much, and there are really good and sharing people on there, but it's good to have a thread that isn't specifically for one brand of flavoring as well. :)

Totally agree! It's a remarkable bit of synchronicity; I had been thinking, I oughta start a thread for ALL manufacturers' flavorings, because I refuse to limit myself to just one, my recipes are all over the place, and lo and behold, Mr Mann did!

Andria

Haha, I bought shisha strawberry -- I think it was you who mentioned loving it. It's a very nice authentic "shisha" strawberry, but VERY dominant. Was playing trying to make my first try at strawberry milk. It was a lacking strawberry smell a bit, so I added 4% strawberry shisha. It tastes pretty good tbh, and while I don't know how the shisha strawberry tastes as a single flavor -- all I taste is a shisha strawberry. I'll try my strawberry milk again without the shisha strawberry, maybe add more tfa ripe strawberry this time. Again though, probably really nice as a single. What are you mixing with Andria?

Also reading back a bit, did you share your strawberries & cream recipe anywhere?
