Lord Davon responded to my Youtube post.
They do indeed come apart to expose the coils, yes they still use the flavor wicks on top, and they are the same circumference as the stardusts..

Looks to be a winner indeed. As soon as GV picks em' up, I'll give em' a whirl..

Yet, another $1,000,000.00 question...ETA?
LD is such a sweetheart ! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Thanx rdsok..Speaking of Vision, I'm wondering why they are not pursuing the BC concept. They make fine delivery devices, yet nothing to compete with the Kangers...

$100 says there working on it though...A BC Stardust with a thin tube, so it will hold a decent amount of juice would be great..

The ability to clean the heads on the Kangers without dumping the juice out, is a GODSEND..

Basing it off of past performance of BC's... they have an issue with either wicking too much and leaking or not wicking enough and "burning" depending on the thickness of the e-liquid. I'm not saying they can't be done, just that it is a delicate balance.

What I've been thinking is going to be the next big thing, we discussed briefly in the PM's the other night. Porous ceramic wicks... If precoiled, they could even be made to just be a cartridge that you just plugged in. Possibly a rod with nichrome or kanthal wrapped on it or even possibly a flat ceramic with the "coil" layered on similar to a circuit board.

Don't want to put a link to somewhere else here but if you were to copy Kanger eVod: First Hi Res look at the full rebuildable bottom coil clearomizer into google search you might have a better idea of what you're looking for.... (please don't hurt me Monkey Moma... well, not much anyway.) 8-o

Your right my friend. Ceramic would be the bomb.
Have you ever seen the little ceramic rods used in cheap scissor sharpeners..you know, shaped like a "V"..
Take one of those apart, wrap some kanthal around it, see what happens. That ceramic unfortunately is probably not porous enough to wick juice though..

I don't think manufactures will make them so good, that they will slow down the cash cow. I'm sure manufactures (and vendors alike) hate that we take their "replaceable" coil heads and clean/rebuild them to increase the service life ten fold anyway....

I'm not so certain about that.. Current resale prices ( not always related to production cost but still ) of a standard carto runs between $1.50-$3.00... similar to the retail costs seen with replaceble components but using a lower amount of materials ( probably at a slightly higher production cost )... The replaceble components take up less space to ship than the cartos... which drop the overall shipping per unit. Going to a ceramic/coil setup should end up dropping manufacturing costs once the initial R&D is done... I believe they could still sell them at a higher profit since they would be perceived as a better quality component.... but it is tough to just guess at the costs still...

why would I hurt you over this ? I already said I didn't have a clue and I didn't have one and just saw the LD video is all :unsure: I don't understand why anyone is or would be worried about what I think. I'm not a part of got vapes, I'm just a monkey who wastes too much time on the computer.

Yes, I'm sure that they're not too happy that their "disposable" heads can be made to last a month or more. I on the other hand have a hard time considering a device that can't be serviced. I guess with the Phoenix's and T3's I've gotten spoiled

Mercy AG, simply a clumsy poke at fun... sorry to create such a conundrum so early in the morning. After all, it is common knowledge that Monkey Mama approval is the pinnacle... ahhh, all monkeys considered, you're top banana.

Check this out..been reading the ceramic threads..It seems air diffusers for fish tanks make great wicks. Of course these need to be shaped and ground down prior to use..
