It's always a catchup zoo after a holiday and this week was no exception....other maybe it was a little worse than I expected...LOL I'll get everyones prize in the mail on Monday ....I sort of promise I promise to try...how's that? Spacekitty....your going to be getting a SmokeStik kit courtesy of loxmythe who asked that any prize he won be given to you so you could give it away in your next contest/PIF thread. So the package that you receive directly from SmokeStik ..IT"S OK to give that stuff away.

I am actually baffled, and rendered speechless, at the lorikay13 generosity.

Here is sort of the PM I sent and which I realize I really should just share in public, since it speaks directly to how I FEEL about being on the *receiving end* of her many kindesses:

"I just about fell down at my PO box this morning when I received those thick gorgeous socks! OMG Lori who are ya and did you fall off a cloud in heaven or somethin? You are unbelievably generous.

I had some absolutely terrible experiences this week with 2 vendors, one sent me a *chernobyl* package (sopping, wet, dripping freakin' mess.) The other was a cusotmer service team who would not let me return a new-in-package item I had just purchased.

So, you are a ray of bright sunshine ............ your kindness makes up for at least 10 unkindnesses. Just want you to know that you spread a little sunshiine in to my life when I really needed it. I just luv ya girl! I am so lucky to have people like you in my orbit........my friend who runs a dog rescue is going to FLIP when I give her these gorgeous sox!"

I also received some smokestix disposables and kit. I gave the disposables out at our local Humane Society rummage sale last weekend, to anyone I saw smoking...... I gave the Smoke Stik kit to the manager of our local Walmart store, because while asking him about a item I couldn't find on the shelf, I noticed he had a pack of cigarettes in his shirt pocket. I gave him the Smoke Stik website address, as well as the ECF website address. He was super interested, and even took out his pen and his notebook and wrote everything down! He said if there was an alternative to analogs he would go for it, he just didn't really have any exposure to this before!


(I kept few disposbles for myself in case my electricity goes out which happens here in the woods during storms, and then I would not be able to charge my batteries!)

What I'm trying to say here is this: Kindness goes out into the world in waves. Every person I touched in this story, with an opportunity to get off analog cigarettes was made possbile by Lorikay13 and Smoke Stik. Generosity has arithmetic properties...it grows and grows each time it goes out.

actually...you know what? Instead of shipping it from the warehouse...I happen to have an autographed Halligan kit here and I had meant to give it away on 9/11 but it didn't seem appropriate to have a contest considering what is going on in the world. Would you like the autographed one?

It is very nice, and thanks for the "extras" you included.
My wife loves it, she is the one who works every holiday (the Labor Day contest was for people who worked on Labor Day)

Charged a battery and put on a menthol carto and the wife loves it.!!!!!!!!
