I tried searching chest pain and side effects and while i get useful info i have yet to find an answer to this issue. i dont wanna give up my pv. i have only been doing this 3 weeks but have been analog free for 2 weeks and i dont wanna go back! anyone have any ideas? I think it may be a liquid issue but that could be totally wrong.

See a doc anyway just to be on the safe side.

A month or two into quitting smoking a few years back I woke up feeling like someone was pounding on my chest with a sledge hammer. Stress test said it wasn't a heart attack. I'm starting to think it might have been related to getting all the tar and other crap out of my lungs (quitting smoking related less than vaping, since I wasn't vaping then).

Still not something you want to play around with. See a doctor, might be minor heart attacks, or some other heart related illness. Better to play it safe than sorry.....

Check here: Health, Safety and E-Smoking

As already suggested, if the symptoms are severe, or don't subside quickly, by all means see a doctor. If they are just an annoyance, and you're pretty sure it is directly a reaction to something in what you are vaping, you could try to "debug" the problem.

Eliquids consist primarily of nicotine, PG, VG, flavorings. Too much nicotine can cause rapid pulse, headaches, etc., but that doesn't sound like what you're describing.

I've run across people with sensitivity to each of the other elements -- PG, VG, and flavorings. Some people will develop heaviness, rashes, other symptoms from PG (or too much PG). Others run into the same things with VG. Others run into these with certain flavorings, in some cases they just cannot deal with any artificial flavorings or colors, while in others they may be sensitive to, say, cinnamon.

Perhaps try just vaping a bit of VG mixed with distilled water, to see if that makes the symptoms go away. Plain VG is readily available -- Glycerin USP Skin Protectant at a CVS or Rite Aid, the ingredients should only list Glycerin 99.5%, a 6 ounce clear bottle of it should be in the bandaids area; distilled water is $1/gallon in a grocery store, just mix about 80% VG, 20% water, and see if that vapes okay for you. If this works (although not so satisfying, since it has no nicotine or flavoring), then go for the 0 PG organic elqiuids, or at least try a PG liquid from another vendor (since it might just be the flavorings).

Good luck!

Yes but that's ok. I cannot vape anything with Ethyl Maltol/ Cotton Candy as I'm allergic to it. Some have also reported allergies to PG. It doesn't mean you have to cut your PG out completely but maybe a juice with less PG and more VG. You can buy VG at the pharmacy in the band aid/ first aid section next to the isopropyl alcohol. Because VG is so thick you can water it down with distilled water, vodka or PGA (pure grain alcohol)- ditilled water is prolly the best. It could be you're allergic to the new juice you're vaping. Here's thread on what you're experiencing:

Could easily be any of the components. Even within flavorings alone, some people can't handle cinnamon, others cannot handle any acidic flavors, some have difficulty with any non-organic flavors,...

You could try sending a message to the vendor, let them know what you've experienced, ask if they are willing to tell you at least the gross mix (all PG, mostly PG, whatever), whether they know if the flavorings are all organic, and if they could let you know at least the gross flavorings being used. It's nothing bad on their part, just that you are trying to figure out what to avoid going forward.

Also:
"I believe they use PG as a standard because it gives more of a throat hit and can be made to taste more like tobacco, so it's more like a cigarette. As far as being allergic to PG I'm not so sure averybody that thinks they are allergic to PG really is. PG metabolizes to lactic acid ( same stuff that makes your muscles burn when over used) and it also drys one out more then VG. I believe some people metabolize PG more then others, I believe I am one of them. What seems to happen to me over a day or so of vaping is my chest gets tight and I can feel some burn, my throat gets dry and my glands start to swell, I believe if I was allergic I would have had a reaction in the first few hours. I use VG now and it is much better. VG metabolizes very slowly to glucose (sugar) and it dose not spike. I don't know if one is better then the other all I know is VG works better for me."

4. Allergic Reaction to Eliquid Ingredients
There have been a small number of cases reported where some of the symptoms were similar to #V4 but in addition there were one or more of the following: chest pains, dizziness, severe skin tingling, a feeling of electric tingling on the scalp, headache, and a general feeling of being very unwell. These symptoms may or may not be related to use of a new e-liquid.
