yeah, in my upgrade, I went right from a 280 to an 1100mah. In the middle I spent some time being dissapointed with an ego and wondering why my 808 carts performed better on my kr batt. Had I known about it, I may have gone for the elite. I am being spoiled by the ease of a powerful auto battery now. Still, when my current 280 dies, I may get an elite.

Good to know. Thank you, sir.

The reason I am now looking at the 510/eGo is the room it leaves for experimentation with different coil configurations and strengths(LR vs. SR), the options of tanks or cartos, and liquids with different PG/VG. It just seems that there are plenty of options to really customize the experience.
Then again, I might find that I quite enjoy the experience of just dealing with KR8's and various liquids. I am a transcendentalist by nature, and simplicity is key.

808's now come with all the variations 510's come with. LR/dual coils/clear carts/ they just don't have any tanks out that I am aware of. Unsealed 808's and all manuals I have tried can take 901 atomizers. Smoke Tech makes a 2.0 ohm 901 atty that puts out clouds of flavor heaven. Nothing I have tried in a 510 has ever compared.

My everyday kit is KGOs (terrific) and a a goodly handful of the new V4L manuals ('diamond tip x-long for me). I've shelved more expensive various others - I love simplicity and elegance also, and I want a goodly vape with taste and plume and decent batt longevity and very little pointless fiddling but room for 'customizing' some; between those two set-ups I really am delighted.

There's a reason The Elite is sold by ... Cig-Easy. Fiddle-free vaping at it's finest.

Someone in another thread I started said that CigEasy only has a one week warranty on their stuff. Truth? I couldn't find mention of any warranty on the site.

@Charlz Thanks for the help in this thread and the other thread. Loads of info and experience I can learn from. :)

The KGO really has my attention. At this point I am looking at getting a fat batt style KR8 or 510 with 650 mah and decent voltage and voltage regulation, and the KGO is all of those. The only thing that concerns me about the KGO is that it doesn't have and on/off function. I keep my VP in my pocket, and I am worried that the KGO would misfire as I move around. Apart from that, the KGO is perfection.

Also looking at the iGo and the Echo. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

For simplicity the Elite 808 makes great sense for KR808D-1 users since the connection is the same & all works.
:smokie:

Yeah, the Elite is at the top of my short list. I am not against 510 devices either, such as the KGO.

I think I have narrowed down my preferences:
- KR808D-1 or 510
- 380 mah or 650 mah (no bigger/no smaller)
- regulated battery 3.7-4.2V (is the Elite regulated?)
- manual battery
- on/off function or button cover
-small enough to carry in my pocket all day

Merry Christmas from MC, y'all! :toast:

not to dissuade you from getting the elite 808, because had i not learned a bit more about my Leo i would own an elite by now.

I typically use kr808's with low resistance 2.0 boge cartomizers and those little 808's kicked out CLOUDS of vapor. i loved them, and i still do.

Recently though i picked up a new Leo, 1000mah, 3 click lockout feature (like the elite), acts as a passthru, and 4ml carto's. The Leo is made by boge and even the standard carto's are nothing short of AMAZING. I can't wait to try out the LR one's. With a 4ml carto, you fill once (takes about 2 minutes) and your'e good for hours of heavy vaping. No more topping off carto's every 1/2 hour like the 808 carto's. Anyways, just a suggestion, all the good things about the elite, plus an extra 600mah. The batt i bought cost $25 with a charger and shipping included. A 5 pack of 4ml carto's was $15.

Something to consider....all i can say is since i've gotten carto's for it i have not picked up an 808. and they sell adaptors for all types of batt threadings.

A very good suggestion, but it does not have an on/off function. However, it would certainly make a good PV to leave at home. How does the size compare to an 808, Elite, or eGo?

roughly the size of an ego.

and like i said it does have a 3 click lockout feature thus turning it "off". 3 more clicks and it's ready to go whenever you press and hold. watch the review for the elite on cigeasy's website, the new Leo's work the same way.

it's much larger than a standard 808 lol

Oh, it does have an on/off feature. Good good good :)

I am having trouble finding a vendor that carries the LEO. Any suggestions?

VZ Leo Passthrough USB Battery 1000mAh - E Cig : Joye eGo & eGo-T | Boge Leo | Cartomizers | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes | eGo Tank

there's other one's from other vendors but this is where i got mine, good price and it's the newer style with all the nifty features.

LEO XXL CARTOMIZER LEO XXL CARTOMIZER [BLXXLCARTO] - $3.00 : VapeLite your source for Boge quality electronic cigarettes, Boge electronic cigarettes

here's where i got the carto's. that's a pretty standard price. all said and done you could have it all for right at about $30 bucks if you just started with one carto (which according to reviews as long as you don't let them dry out completely will last weeks)

btw, on that vapingzone site is where those adaptors are at i was telling you about, so everything that's available for the eGo can be used on the leo as well if you like.

For 30 bucks for a 1000mah batt, lockout feature, 4ml carto, inexpensive adaptors, and a passthru all in one i honestly have found the last pv i'll ever buy, except for maybe some spare 808's like the v4l stealth batt but that's honestly more for the novelty than anything else.

+1 Echo, dont waste time with the skinny little batteries, you know you want longer lasting!
The Echo is on the list, but has yet to be researched.

I actually found a starter kit at litecigusa.net for $55. How long do the atomizers last, in your experience? Also, is the USB pass-through option just a mini USB plug? That's what it looks like to me from the pics I see.

yes the passthru option is just a mini usb.

the atomizers suck imho. however, i'm a carto type of person. i'm not into dripping, or 3 piece systems at all. i hated the Leo until i got carto's for it. but that's just the way i am. some people really like the atty's.

remember that some of the Leo's you may see might not be the same leo i posted in that link, the other style has no 3 click lockout feature, and is only 800mah. otherwise, same beast. but the one that i posted in my link has all the other nifty little features. 3 click lockout, extra 200mah, bla bla bla.

Yes, the Elite is a good match for you!
I came to the same conclusion on battery size. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...6440-what-ultimate-upgrade-5.html#post4762908
I prefer 2 med. size e-cigs over a large one. I have had the 650 eGo from the beginning & don’t want anything larger. The 280s just don't last long & would rather not have the battery longer. So the question was how would the Elite 808 battery do.
The Elite lasts 2-2.5 x std. 280mAh battery!

The Elite should be interesting. I just splurged and got 6 different types of cartos to use with it (and my V2). Boge 2.0 and 3.0, Kanger 2.6, IKV Megas @ 2.0 and 3.0. I was looking at the Clear&Easy cartos at CigEasy, but at $3 a pop, I decided to look elsewhere and stumbled upon the Clearocartos at nHaler. I am just waiting for some Jumbo LR (2.3-2.6 ohm) cartos to come back in stock to complete my order. I am just in the mood to do some experimentation. Also need to pick up some e-juice from a few places.

I was wondering if anyone has used KR808DM-1 cartos on a standard KR808D-1 battery? According to this thread, Drewsworld from nHaler says it will work.
