I'm very happy with mine - it's my main vape.

While you're waiting for it to arrive go to dealextreme.com and buy some extra batteries and maybe an extra charger. Trog has the details on his forum of what he recommends for you to buy.

Wish I had been told that when I ordered my SD. My SD arrived with batts that were barely alive and wouldn't hold a charge. So I had to wait til I got the batts I ordered to find out how awesome the SD is. I had no idea that these batts weren't available in the US and I couldn't hop over to the local whatever store to get new batts. Live and learn for sure!

Now that I'm trog-savvy, think I might just get another SD. This thing is built solid!! Reminds me of those Ford "Built To Last" commercials.

The only problem is I don't take the SD with me when I'm out and about. My kids told me it looks like I'm smoking something illegal - hahaha - like I'm smoking liquid weed or something. Too funny!

Yes, the SD is all I use. I actually have two of them. It is very well balanced, and provides a satisfying vaping experience. No doubt in my mind that you will love this device. I started vaping on a Pilot M401. I wanted a better vaping experience. I was sick of fluid in my mouth, constantly flooding my atomizer. I always had to suck long and too hard for good vapor production, which in return caused the vapor to be "hot", and created sores in my mouth. The S.D. provides an easy and smooth draw, just the right amount of power to efficiently provide a "cooler" temperature, and a thick and tasty vapor.
The worst part for me is using in public, you'll get a lot of weird looks. Just gotta keep a positive thought and remember, at this moment in time, the SD is the future in "e smoking".

I just ordered one of these for carrying my gear "on the go". I read on the Screw Driver forum that they fit the SD perfectly, and have two small elastic side pockets for storing an extra battery/ bottle of liquid and atomizer.

uh..they're out of stock. I don't know much about batteries, but is there a reason to use unprotected batteries vs protected batteries in the SD?

Should I not buy the batteries that are for sell in the ebay link in my previous post?

Thanks for the help

The "protection" is provided by the charger. It will not overcharge the battery. As far as discharging the battery too far, the performance of the SD will severely fall off before that would happen.

The protected batters are slightly (just a tiny bit) longer than unprotected. While they will fit in the SD and they will work, you will not be abler to completely tighten the SD closed.

This is what I use to carry my SD. I don't want you to be disappointed when you get it, so I'll tell you now... the side 'pockets' are JUST big enough to force an extra 901 atomizer in each side. Forget fitting an extra battery or juice bottle in there. I think they were designed to hold drill bits or something along those lines. I like it though...

I had my SD with me at a Smoking Everywhere kiosk yesterday. The two guys working there had never seen one and were fascinated with it. One of them was swearing the SE battery would last as long as the SD battery. HaHa.
I guess the guy had a V.3 model because it actually was putting out pretty good sized vapor clouds. They also had a SE pipe. I didn't know SE made a pipe.

Will you love it? Depends on what you are looking after.
If you don't care of how it looks, or what you would look like vaping any mods - and if you just want something that "WORKS", you'll certainly love it. Consistency is the thing about SD that ticks, and it has stood the test of time in flying colors for many users on this boards.
