The airy draw is annoying me as well. I've seen various posts on ways to deal with airflow in tanks, which I shall be researching more thoroughly once I've had my coffee. I can't really tell if I'm getting less flavor overall, or less flavor due to it being airy.

your hello kitty bandaid not doing it for ya xD

This thing looks awesome, dont get me wrong. But as far as performance, its just not doing it for me "yet"

First im using it on my VAMO at 8.5 watts. Even adjusting the wattage, ive noticed a huge decrease in flavor compared to my Evods, t3, iclear16, and even the t2.

Secondly, I thought the t3 had an "airy" draw...my lord, this thing takes the cake!!

Any suggestions or feedback would be great!

Thanks!!

I love the performance of my protank except for my MBV yellow cake. I love this juice and it is very flavorful in my other tanks but with the protank I'm not getting the flavor. This is strange because my other juices taste great in it just not that one. So all I can say is maybe try another juice cause my juicy fruit tastes amazing in it.

I hear you mad. Same problem I had. Its a very nice looking tank, but I think im going to stick with my Evods.

Does it leak 0.o

I've been using it almost exclusively for 3 days now and it hasn't leaked. It doesn't like to be cold (I posted about that somewhere) and it gurgles and won't draw very well until it warms up (or mine doesn't - but then my house is usually around 53+/- inside). I've only compared it to my carto tank with one flavor, but so far, I think the carto tastes a little better, but the Protank wins on ease of use.

Hm, only thing I can figure is perhaps some flavors benefit from longer wicks (or more precisely, juice density in the wick where the coil fires). I tried two of my most strongly-flavored juices (Boba's and Fire In The Hole, a local hot cinnamon brew), and two of my more subtly-flavored juices (a JC Vanilla and a MBV Sweet Cream) side-by side in topcoil CE5's and Protanks. Aside from the additional warmth from the topcoils, I'm getting an identical flavor experience from both devices. I've also swapped some AVE Gorilla Juice from an eVod to a Protank with the same results.

One thing I've noticed with these eVod/Protank heads... They're fairly inconsistent with how many of the loose little "flavor" wicks that come pre-installed. Some heads have only 2, and others I've re-wicked have 3 or even 4 (though out of the two dozen or so heads I have, only two had this many)...

What other tanks are you using, madstabber?

The first head I used with my Protank when it came in the mail worked great at first - very similar to my eVod. After having finished a full tank, I decided to swap heads and switch juices. Normally I would have dry burned the same head and refilled as normal, but the first tank was full of Pluid, which - as many of you know - has a tendency to leave residue sticking around in the wick and tank body.

With the second head installed and my Protank filled with a new juice, the airy draw I'm experiencing is ridiculous. It's just about unbearable, and it doesn't come anywhere close to the tighter eVod-like draw of the first one. I also realize now that flavor wasn't such an issue with the first one because I started with the king of them all: Pluid. After having given my first head a rigorous cleaning to rid it of all the Pluid I could, I tried it out with the same juice that my spare head couldn't deliver on, and what do you know? No flavor.

Both heads look exactly the same inside and out as far as I can tell, but one has a nice tight draw and the other is aggravatingly airy. Neither delivers flavor with any of my juices other than Pluid, of which I only have a few mililiters left. Has anyone else noticed a difference between the two heads included in their kits, and can anyone recommend a type of juice that has worked well for them in delivering full (or close to full) flavor?

I wish I could call meant on the difference between using the 2 different heads. However, after 1 fill with my protank, I knew it wasn't for me. So I sold it and bought 2 more Evods, and 5 more Evod replacement heads. I know I'll be happy with those!

It seems, with Kanger, that it's partly the luck of the draw... If you get a good one, whether it's a Protank, a T/MT3, or an EVod, you're Golden... If not, it's trashcan time... :(

That does seem to be the case. I wish some of these hardware manufacturers would exercise a little quality control for once, but I guess there's not really much need to when they keep releasing new products and we all keep buying the next big thing.
