I also must add that despite the looks the patriot was my favorite atty I have ever had, only dual coil setups tho R.I.P Patty...

I also use an omega as my daily driver now, it's fricken AHHHHMAAAAZING, plus it's adjustable air flow can go from needle point to HUGE with holes for single or dual coils.

For the PVs, does anyone know how many of the components or assembly are done in the US vs. handled by companies overseas? Just got a vapor shark DNA that I absolutely love, but I really can't speak to the supply chain side when they are proper electronics. It seems that everyone, especially smaller companies starting out or ramping up, offshore the manufacturing to keep prices down. Would love to hear any info you guys might have on that.

Tugboats are made in California, great Atty, Flawless is a great company! Very responsive to customers. I have an original run version and I believe a v2 . I just saw they have released a California edition that would go great with my California edition Poldiac, having 3 of the same Atty is sane isn't it?

zen 2 dx seems to have redesigned their mod...looks like copper contacts now and knurled top and bottom caps... they dont advertize the amp limiting spring either, i wonder if that means that they have done away with it. i think they still need a locking ring of some sort for the switch.

im really looking at the ar mod. they claim low voltage drop.

didnt know the tree of life mod was US made so thank you for that.

as far as drippers go, ive found that most of them with the phillips head screws tend to back out over time. idk if thats just because they are all cheap clones or what the deal is. i do have a nimbus clone that has hex keyed screws that stay solidly in place.

i keep seeing people say how hard hitting their mod is, i suppose im chasing that too. maybe i have it with my brass knurled king mod. i dont have much to compare it to. i would also think that the conductivity of the atomizer plays a big part of that equation too. i went out and replaced all the contact screws in my zen 2 dx with brass instead of keeping the gold plated junk they came with. i also replaced the amp limiting spring. gold is great for low maintenance and staying clean but really not the best conductor when compared to brass, copper, or silver. ive read somewhere that the difference of conductivity between silver and copper is marginal.

being relatively new to all of this, i do have preferences. i like one piece 18650 battery tubes with bottom switch. (have not used a 26650 mod yet so no clue on if i would like one.) multi-part tubes and telescoping tubes seems counter intuitive to me. i like copper adjustable contacts. i like my king's recessed switch. i love the results both in flavor and vapor production i get in a dripper but hate that i have to drip. my work isnt conducive to it so its inconvenient. ive got a kraken from va and found a way to build a horizontal coil set up with cotton that matches very closely to what my dripper can do. i suppose google will have to help me find a US made genesis that matches the quality of my kraken. i have also noticed that i am less and less concerned with air channels for bottom air fed tanks, reason being is that drippers and genesis styles dont bottom feed air. also airflow control is a must!!! i like brass mods, again because of conductivity. a copper mod would be great but i have read a lot of reviews with bad switch wobble causing failure to fire or worse yet, stuck in the fire position. im partial to aggressive knurling on the 510 cap and switch end with plenty of space for my fat fingers to get a solid purchase on them. last one is that i like heft. im not a stealth vapor, light weight and short means nothing to me. give me a quality mod that communicates that with how it feels in my hand. solid, heavy, durable.

i do own clones, and im ok with that. it was an affordable way for me to learn. i know that there are a lot of quality mods and rebuildables that come from overseas. i have a genuine kayfun that i cant build but the quality is there. now i want "high end" quality USA. i hate the prices i will and do pay for them. but ultimately, its a small price to pay for not smoking and supporting American economy.

No. Cal.
I know that Super T was mentioned but I wanted to do a shout out for his latest invention the Workhorse (3 sizes) and with a price point of $69, NO ONE can say they can't afford a USA-mod! All of Super T's are top quality and this will not be an exception according to the reviews I'm reading. Mine should be here by Saturday.
