What type of switch? Saw some discussion in mod forum that some switches, usually small ones needs or should have a regulator, or. Mosfet board. Have you looked at any of those dc-dc step down boards? Look pretty sweat, can take 3 volts to 120 volts and can output 3.7 to over 12. Only takes 4 soddering points, next thing I build will use one of those.

DC. The one I used was 3a/120v AC. Figured it would work since they're fine on the 3.7v boxes. I've read that AC rated switches cannot handle DC current sometimes, but that stuff's above my head :)

And no, I haven't looked at anything that's not in a kit yet. What part of "over my head" do you not understand?

If you have one of the 1.7's left could you hold one for me? I'd like to have a full-sized tank also (don't need the carto, but that's the only full-sized tank) and I need to order some more Butterfly Bait, but I think we're having a conversation before I order ;)

yes! It looks like I should get kits in that size also

I am getting the basic mv kit while I wait for my parts to come in. I still am aiming for one of those wood boxes, wonder if you could squeeze a vv set up in one of those.

The problem would be the potentiometer. If you don't mind wiring it instead of soldering it directly to the board, I don't think it would be a problem. As it is "intended" to be put together, though, I think the setup would be too awkard to be able to fit in...

The step down board has a pot built in, you can use various things for the cap, but the one on the board is a screw design.

Is it parallel to the board, then? The pot on the MadVapes kit is perpendicular if mounted. That's what makes it awkward...
