One thing I wish is that the squonk/drain hole in the ceramic was positioned more equally in-between the 2 posts. That way, it would be a bit easier to position the coil directly over it.

For myself, I like the position as is. Because I use a long tail of cotton that contacts my wick (SS mesh) and the floor of the RM2 the juice is readily absorbed into the wick. If you aren't using a long tail, get the right end side of your coil as close as possible to the floor. I leave space above the squonk hole at a level that doesn't impede any excess juice to drain. Keep your air hole pointing up after a squonk and the excess juice will completely drain while taking your next hit.

The beauty of the design is that if the coil does touch the floor it won't short, just keep away from the metal rim surrounding the ceramic and the RM2 cover :)

Also, didn't someone post a pic of their RB2 with the chrome taken off outside by Robert? Info please. I want to order a couple RM2s for use on Mini 1.0s and would love to have one in raw brass finish. (I have two for other REOs and I'm really impressed.) I haven't taken the time to try the RM2 in any of my Wood REOs, yet, but any that it may fit will be spectacular with the raw brass finish!!

Thanks, Feisty Alice

Finally gave in and had to drill my RM2 out to 1/16" I've just gotten to used to the airy draw:D

Do you have to squonk a lot with the ceramic? That was the main thing I did not like about ss mesh. I had to squonk every 2 puffs with it.

Agree, I love the taste and TH from SS mesh but it really needs to be soaking in juice, I had to squonk every hit when I had a SS wick in a RBA. I tried the ceramic in genesis mods but it didn't wick as well as SS mesh IMO .... tasted great though.

I found the trick with SS in RM2. The wick has to pretty much lay on the floor of the atty. The floor is slightly concave and the wick ends up laying in a small pool of juice.

So tomzgreat, have you given us a link for the ceramic? Sure would appreciate. Of all my RBAs the RM2 is most perfectly laid out for ceramic and anxious to try it.

If anyone else has a link please post.

Thanks, Feisty Alice
I've avoided posting these links because I wasn't sure it's good manners to link to other shops on Rob's thread.
So Rob if you want me to delete this particular post just PM me and give me the opportunity to take it down.
I only will buy Ceramic that has been Kiln Treated. Otherwise contaminants may remain. From reading data sheets, I dont' trust the nextel unless it's been properly treated to remove contaminants

Braided Ceramic Wick Treated.
Sng Vapor Here
This stuff is thick, I couldn't get it down the middle of my A7 but worked great with the Reomizer. Wicks incredible, great flavor. It's a winner. I had to seal the ends with Wire because it has a tendency to fray from the side.

Big Tex Vapor
They just came out with really thin stuff.
1/32nd of an inch. I couldn't resist buying some but haven't had the chance to try it yet. so I can't make a recommendation except that it's real thin so it can be doubled or as is and used in the smaller Mods like my A7.
1/32 XC-116 Ceramic Wick Kiln Treated – Big Tex Vapor

Porous Ceramic Wick
I bought these at Tank Ecig and I like them a lot but I think the braided wick, wicks better, on the other hand I think this may be healthier.
FC-2000 Porous Ceramic Wicks

I like both the porous ceramic and the braided ceramic, for risk of particulates I like the porous better, for wicking the braided.
I can't wait to try the Tex Vapor in my A7. The SNG just wasn't set up great because of the thickness.

I've been getting a kick out of seeing these huge wick setups on other mods because on my Reomizer all I need is around 1/4 or 3/8 of an inch which makes the ceramic wicks very affordable.

It is fine and accepted to post links for stuff that we use on the REO's. As long as you are not extolling the virtues of another PV and posting links to it you well within the bounds of good manners!

Tom, thanks for the info. Questions please, does the braided ceramic need any prep like the porous types and guessing that with the braid type, issues with coil being in contact with the ceramic is minimized? How flexible are the braids, 1/32, 1/16 vs silica? For me, I would like to run 2 legs of 1/16 braid atop the ceramic base of the RM2 along its outer rim and tie off the loose ends together to maintain shape longevity.

Absolutely no prepping for the Braided Ceramic wicks. I think the Stuff is as flexible as silica, I've never worked with Silica, went straight to metal than ceramic. But it's just like normal cord.
That idea sounds really cool and should be doable it's a tight fit but I don't see a problem on the 1/32nd Big Tex Vapor Ceramic Wick the cords will have to be on top of each other wrapping tight around the post..

Forget it on the SNG, SNG is seriously thick.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these but there hasn't been much talk it lately. Does that mean everybody is happily vaping away? I bought the Reomizer when it first came out and was happy with it for awhile but then....so is everyone still happy with the 2.0?

Terry, the Reomizer 2 is wonderful. Rave reviews all over the REO forum. Many have sold other RBA's to get more RM2's. A couple people use them instead of a Chalice!

I love them. Much sturdier, very durable.

I think you will be very pleased having at least one!

Friday I order my 2nd from Rob which means Jack is getting closer to his promised Chalice.

I raved about it when I first got one, bit my tongue for a while so as not to "gush" over it, then raved about it some more. I have 2 of them. I've tried ERA's, A7's, most everything except a chalice. It's sturdy, easy to recoil, hard to flood, and vapes better than any other atomizer I've ever had.

I still rave about them given any little excuse, they're so far above the rest of what I've tried, there just isn't any comparison. I've been using them for around a month and if the shine were going to wear off, it would have by now.

Buy one and try it, I haven't seen a negative post about one yet.

ETA: I'm using silica for the wicks. I've got some ekowool (sp?), and I'll try that when this current wick/coil fizzles on me, but nearly 4 weeks on the same wick and coil so far. It's probably degrading slowly, but I find it still quite exceptional.
