This is a Great Example of how Comments and e-Mails CAN make a Difference.

Good Job Mike.

BTW - Think if every Vaper did what you did when they read on Article and see some Falsehood? Hundreds of Thousands of Comments/e-Mails deluding Publishers and Author's of False or Misleading Information.

We might Actually be Able to get somewhere in this "War of Words".

It's still there. About half-way through, at the begining of the paragraph just before the graph. It says, "juice currently on the market uses freebase nicotine, but that's not how nicotine exists in the real world."

What's been removed, is your comment, I think. I can't find it by searching for the word "freebase".

BTW3 - Now that we have Ripped the Juul marketing a New One, who is going to buy one of these and then Tell me the Tech to Refill/Rebuild the Pods?

Because I Love Small e-Cigarettes like this that I can carry in a Shirt Pocket.

:)
I like the small size, too. I want to try a Juul, but not sure how I'd like the shape 'til I try it. I don't like the price, and unless there's an inexpensive workaround to refill it with that enhanced nicotine, it's of little use to me. But I sure would like to see what it's like.

Yeah... This is going to a B&M is a Big Plus.

The Pictures Look Great. But sometimes when you See it in and then Hold it in your Hand, it isn't as Nice as you thought.

I know people Laugh when I say this. But My All Time Favorite e-Cigarette for Size and Looks was the Blu. Just the Coolest Looking and Feeling e-Cigarette I have Every Had.

But the 88 mAh Battery and the 9 Drops Carts just Didn't cut it for Me trying to make a 100% Switch to e-Cigarettes.

Something like the Juul is kinda like a Toy. Fun to take on short Trips to the Store or the Bank. But not something I could see as my Only PV.

I completely agree. And, with the new tank system, I feel that way even more. It's just that the tanks are too expensive compared to my other gear.

In a way, I sort of fear the Juul. If it does what they say it does, using these "salts" in combo with the nicotine to approximate the blood/nicotine levels of combustible cigarettes, I can see myself getting hooked on them just like regular smokes. If that were to happen, I would be spending even more money than when I smoked Camels. I started vaping to get away from that, and I had to work pretty hard to make the switch.

One of the many blessings associated with vaping, is that the nicotine addiction tends to wear off somewhat as time goes on. If the Juul does what they say, I think I may have a problem if I try them. Maybe it's just an unfounded fear, but I have it nevertheless.

I think this is a Very Valid Point.

The Biggest Complaint I have heard from people who smoke and then try an e-Cigarette is that they Don't get that "Instant Rush" that they get from a Cigarette.

I tell them that the Nicotine Absorption is Slower. And that you Aren't getting all those Wonderful Added Chemicals that are in Cigarettes.

When I look at this Plot, even as Wacked as it is, the Relatively Flat line of "Traditional e-Liquids" makes sense to me.

juulgraph.jpg

A Relatively Slow Ramp Up followed by a Gradual Linear fall off of Nicotine.

But when I look at the PAX Labs Plots, I see a Rapid Spike with a Fast Fall Off. This, to Me, says that I would "Jones" more for another Hit. Just like I did with Cigarettes.

Of course, this is just Supposition. And I would have to Try a Juul to Actually know.

Right. If they mimic the cigarette closely enough, it won't matter that it's vapor. I wouldn't want to try them and then find my fears confirmed because I would then have a new version of my old problem.

I can envision nicotine delivery eventually being made "superior" to regular cigarettes in the future--and that will really suck from an addiction-standpoint.

The rush for all intents and purposes was Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Lack of o2 to the brain. Thats why we do not feel it when vaping, no combustion so no monoxide production.
I would say I didn't know this, but now I vaguely recall having learned that somwhere, and seem to have convenietly let myself forget. No need to forget anymore, now that I don't smoke.

Anyway, thanks both of you for mentioning this.

I agree.

I Switched for Health Reasons. Absolutely.

But something else I wanted was to be Free of the Cigarette "Ball-n-Chain" feeling. I hated that Feeling. And the Only way to make that Feeling go away was to Spark Up a Smoke.

Today, sure I feel Addicted to e-Cigarettes. But I can Go Long periods with getting any Feeling of Craving. And even the craving does come, it is Mild. And something I can Easily Suppress if I am somewhere where Vaping is not Appropriate.

I like the size. The only thing about the shape I might not like, is the mouthpiece. That needs to feel right for me.

I feel very confident that if I were to smoke again, I could easily quit again with vaping. Since I wouldn't have the learning curve to deal with, it would be even easier than before. As long as the Juul isn't even more addicting than smokes, I know I wouldn't have much of a problem, if any. Everybody's different, and I hear your very valid concerns. What's true for me, apparently isn't true for you.

I prefer "Whistle" type drip tips. So for me, this would be not be a Problem.

I think the Refill Ability is going to be the Big Black Fly in the Frosting for the Juul.

Did you see what they Wanted for a Pack of those "Pods"?

Yikes!

Well, "one pod is the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes" right? :eyeroll: so really it's a bargain. That's like $4/pack!

I wonder when companies will stop using non-equivalent math...

For real. I wish people, companies, and society at large would stop treating vaping like a "version" of cigarette smoking. I'm continually seeing attempts to interpret vaping in terms of cigarettes, which I believe is completely off-base and limiting. Probably, pipe smoking is a closer analogy than cigarettes.
