I bought bunch of DIY gear several weeks ago but been too busy with work. Beside, I still had a few dozen juice bottles from last purchase and wasn't going to start DIY for another few weeks. Starting last week, 12mg nic (my usual level) was hitting too hard and starting to become uncomfortable. So, I decided to bite the bullet and start DIY over the weekend. But mainly to reduce the nic level of existing juice. After mucking around for few days, I can't decide which is more fun. Building coils or mixing juice.
Made various PG/VG mix and added them to a few juices at varying ratio. Too my surprise, I was getting awesome flavor and vapor even at 1:0.75 ratio (1ml juice + 0.75ml additional base). And the throat hit is perfect! Needless to say, I was getting full flavors at 1:0.5 and 1:0.25 ratios as well. Looking to bump all of them at 1:0.75 ratio, I am literally getting close to double the juice!
I think "cutting" the existing juice with additional base might be a good beginners experiment. Since you have a reference of how the juice suppose to taste like, you are forced to focus on the base. (which I think is important and not enough attention is given)
Ok, now to the point on another reason for DIY. I had 2 x 30ml Helios Gold. I took one bottle and chopped it into 3 x 10ml bottles for mixing. After first two bottles, I found out that I only had 4ml left and got ripped off of 6ml!!! Since not many people actually measure their juice bottles after purchase and lots of bottles don't come with seal, it would be easy to get ripped off. So glad that I decided to DIY going forward!!
