Any way to make an OT sub-forum or something?

What does this post have to do with V4L products or anything even remotely to do with vaping? I for one can no longer tolerate the fact that nobody assists new vapers with problems or questions. Everything on here lately is like some big joke, everybody laughing ha ha ha.

In the mean time relevant posts like the difference between Wow and Premium Cartomizers or the difference between Manual and Auto batteries are never ever addressed. Instead those topics go unanswered, replaced with comments about poo.

Every other reply is simply some get rich scheme or new type of feline suppository somebody is hocking. At least when the good forum-oriented people from Bloog come here, some order is restored.

Have you ever looked at their forum? It's full of long and lengthy Bloog related complaints about product or items out of stock, there's no laughing, no joking, nobody cares how many days you've gone without smoking or if you have a problem. You can read about Bloog related inside information like how Leaford's pirated Chinese Microsoft 7 software is buggy and how customers have waited weeks for corrected orders to arrive or e-mails to be answered.

Now those folks know how to stay on topic and keep their posts focused. Perhaps some folks around here could learn a thing or two from them. Another thing that really bothers me is all the hand holding... ..really...do I really need to repeat something for the 1,000th time this week why Manual Batteries might be better if your using juice? There are hundreds of pages of posts..for god's sake..look it up already!

This warm and fuzzy family business simply has to end, especially when it comes to new vapers. A cold, stoic, impersonalized environment should be the mainstay of this forum. If I post a topic 3 months ago, I should still see it on the first page when I pull it up. If there is nothing new or a unique question posted, there really is no reason for any activity at all.

From now on posts should only talk about new V4L products and should only be focused on issues which have never been addressed before about V4L products. You want a juice review...look it up..info on batteries...look it up...pg/vg...look it up...outside of that keep your personal life to yourself...you got problems...well guess what? So do I.

That being said, I'm still open for friend requests. :)

Now THAT's a KNOYFE!!!! Love it dude. You kill me. I am going to start a new onion-esque wiki site that combo's the satire of SnowDragon with the techie information of Jamvector and Adrenalynn. We can call it Vapor4Shiggles - Thanks for the smile.

First of all, the main reason I come around anymore is for the social aspects, humor, and friendship; my technical input certainly is no longer of any value. I have no intention to speak for the OP, but wanted to support part of his position, in that the board is overflowing with far too many threads than are necessary to carry out the EXACT SAME amount of social interaction and fun. Some of us don't have the time to hang here day and night, yet still enjoy popping in for a good laugh or to weigh in on an issue or two. As it stands now, what used to be known as "forum etiquette" has been replaced by a company-sponsored facebook page. If you are not part of the daily crowd or part of the accepted family, you no longer feel welcome to participate. Gang up on me and shout me down all you want, but the proof is in the notable disappearance of 80% of the past regulars on this subforum. I think it SHOULD be full of new people, crazy banter and FUN, but it can and should be done with respect of all who wish to participate - not just the idol worship society. As I said, all I am suggesting is that the OT and social discussions take place in a fewer amount of threads, so other threads some of the rest of us might enjoy following stick around within the first 5 pages a little longer. The extraordinary support and social interactions have always been the best and most important part of this forum, and the radical implication that I'm implying it should be something completely different is a complete and sadly offensive misinterpretation.

I said my piece, now have at me with your armies - good luck overcoming my growing invisibility superpowers however. Snow, I dig the meaning in your post, message received, loud and clear - I am OUTTA HERE!

 Oh dear. "Ganging up"? "Shouting down"? "Idol worship society"?? "OUTTA HERE"?

I musta missed a few posts.

Mercy. Someone needs to take a deep breath, or perhaps a few weeks of Insensitivity Training.

And then come back when e'er you feel like it. Surely it's not too hard to click through those little page numbers to find a thread from last month or last season or whatever??

Whew.

Snow.... I **LIKE** it!

Mr. Morandir - should you leave, I'll be forced to stalk you, sir, whether you **LIKE** it or not

I rather enjoy the ADHD qualities of most of the posts - oh look! something shiny! Though my kitties are now playing harps and I hang out with dogs, I would glady put forth an application as an honorary member of the kitty army.

We ALL know I am an addict. I have read most of the threads from when this forum (V4L) started. I find the outdated information funny as hell. And I read the "technical" posts. And I read the OT posts. I read it all. That being said...I stumbled onto ECF from a cruise forum. Honestly the people there are rude and mean (but it is full of information and tips).....I did a lot of research, I did a lot of reading and ended up at the V4L forum. I love it here, as is. That being said, I do understand the OPs problem. I had it too when I was newer. Mostly in the Newbie forum (or beginners or whatever, where you have to post 5 times....), things stay on topic. Here, not so much. And that is why I am here. Mostly because I couldn't understand how you people were HAVING FUN! You QUIT SMOKING and were having fun! HOW DARE YOU!?!?!?! LOL

I have never come to this forum and had someone tell me "do a search".
I have never come to this forum and not had a question answered.
I have never come to this forum and felt "left out".
I have never come to this forum and not found an answer.
I have never come to this forum and not found support.
I do think of this as a conversation around a dinner table.

About 3 weeks ago I won a kit from another vendor in a contest. I have been in their forum. They have an OT thread that is a gazillion pages long. The forum itself is on topic and they get a post a week. You can wait up to a week for an answer on your question....I'll take OT and the answers and support I need, thank you very much.

That being said, if V4L ever decides they want an ON TOPIC forum, as a web designer and graphic artist I will start a family forum and donate the web hosting and support myself. Until they decide that, I am here to stay and will be off topic and on topic as much as ECF and V4L allow and welcome.

I see both sides.. when I was brand new to the forum I was really looking for technical support - so some of the OT posts might have confused me. I've been around a little while now and would be lost without the idle chit chat. There are many times this forum is my escape to relax or look for support when things aren't going the best. If I need a good laugh I can always sign on and start reading, won't take me long. Everyone is very patient here to answer questions even if they have been asked on the previous thread - so I don't think we scare people away here. It is my crazy time at work so don't have as much time to get on the forum as I have in the past. One thing I will say is my playground has been a little 'tense' lately. I'm guessing once some Wow 555 and a few others show up in stock it might level out again. Okay, now I'm rambling but I would hate to see any drastic change to this crazy world I love..........

I thought it meant over (the) top!

lol....see now that is a great thing....I actually learned a few new things over the past several days, but danged if I can remember now what they were:blush:
