My ego kit came from Liberty Flights with the wall/usb charger. The wall charger lights up but the light on the charger itself never turns to red and doesnt charge the battery. When i use the usb charger I have to mess with it quite a bit to get it to turn to red and charge the battery. I tried contacting LF but haven't heard anything back yet. Should I just buy a replacement charger in the mean time and if so, from who? Thought LF was pretty good in the customer service dept???

Are you following these steps?

1 plug wall charger in wall socket
2 attach usb cord
3 then screw battery onto usb cord

when attached the light on the battery should flash a few times then light on usb cord turns red to show its charging

I have found I have to follow these steps, there have been times I attached battery to cable first then plugged it into wall unit and it wouldn't charge. Seems the circuit would not set unless done the way I stated.
Pretty much same as I did with 510 batteries.

I just tried the steps you mentioned but no luck. While screwing in the batt I get to a point where the batt flashes 4 times quickly over and over, if that makes any sense??? Then I screw in on a little tighter and it gives the normal 5 flashes but no red light. When i remove the batt and try to use it, it just flashes 4 times and then nothing. And I can't pm Abe because I don't have enough posts. Is this going to be a good day or what???

Well if the battery flashes when you press the button thats the indicator from the circuit that it needs a recharge. There is a little circuit in the batt that makes it cutt off at a certain point because if you totally drain the battery it will be damaged the battery (common trait of lith batteries).

After it flashes, the circuit shuts the battery down so that it will not operate any more. The flashing is merely showing you it time to recharge.

I have two different types of usb cord. One made for 510, the other for Ego. The 510 cord will charge an Ego batt, but it takes longer (approx 5-6 hours). Takes about 2 hours with the other cord.

Just guessing here, did you try plugging the usb cord into your pc to charge? Maybe that would work for you in the meantime if the wall plug is defunct. I use the usb plug on the pc at work all the time to recharge if I run out.

Other thing I am curious about is the battery flashing two different times when you screw it into the cord. Maybe try leaving it alone after it flashes the first time, meaning don't screw it down any further after the first set of flashing.

Give it 30-60 minutes to get some charge into the battery.

Did you get two batts with your kit? If so are they both doing the same thing?

Thanks again for all the help folks, plugging the usb charger into the pc was the only way I could charge my batteries, now it's not working either.

Maybe try leaving it alone after it flashes the first time, meaning don't screw it down any further after the first set of flashing.

Once it starts flashing, it doesn't stop until I screw it in further. I have had the battery die on me before and it would flash then it would simply be dead. Now it flashes, (the 4-flash pattern), every time you hit the button but nothing...
Got stressed out and bought a pack because of all this. I was doing good too...
