I don't see how rba's require fiddling. I've had the same coils on all my rba's for weeks. I can change all 5 of my vacuum tank's flavors in ~5 minutes total. Disassemble, glow coil, put wick in, assemble, fill..boom. and a RDA is even faster. I can prime a carto really fast with a syringe, but I can never keep them saturated with the liquids I want to use, and you can't just prime a carto and instantly vape it..unlike a rba.

If you love cartotanks, I recommend sticking to them. Once I started using kayfuns..etc, I don't ever leave house with my cartotanks anymore, unless girlfriend is with me.

What would I recommend to someone to use? Cartotanks. What do I prefer? Kayfuns and similar systems.

Nothing beats a good disposable dripping atomizer for testing juices before committing to a carto or carto tank.

Inexpensive 5 packs
Nice idea, but sold out. No cigar for you. :p

Another alternative for someone who might not be comfortable using a drip atomizer would be a Nano clearomizer. Only holds 1 ml of juice, perfect for just testing flavors before commiting an entire tank to a flavor. Relatively inexpensive. Easy to fill and use by removing the mouthpiece. Just dump out the first flavor and then add the next. Very little flavor bleed-through. (BTW - that's not me in the below video.)

I moved to carto tanks from cartos because it became a pain to keep topping of a carto to maintain that tasty wet vape. Like most devices, when using quality cartos and good technique, one can likely find their sweet spot of vapor, warmth and flavor. I stumbled into some high quality clearos and the flavor, for me, was extremely close to dripping, which is my first choice.

I think cartos and carto tanks suffered a setback in 2012 when it seemed both Boge and Smoktech sent out batches of inconsistent cartos for a few months. Ikenvape had very limited availability for some time as well. Crappy clearos, cartos and tanks are certain to give a bad vape.

Ultimately, I think there are excellent cartos, tanks, clearos and rebuildable devices. Unfortunately, many of us have not used the best quality devices to compare, so people generalize that cartos taste bad or clearos leak.

Some people hate refilling a carto tank, some hate blowing out a gurgly clearo. Either way, for about a buck a week to a buck a month, these are great devices.

I'm just tired of people pushing what they like over what someone else likes. I say different strokes for different folks.

Hahahaha!!! Then you don't know anything about smoking! Therefore, I will feed myself a false sense of superiority over you. My day will be better as a result.
Because of this thread, I filled a carto with Deadly Sin...slapped it in an IBTanked and screwed it onto a ProVari last night. I've been using kayfuns, gennys, an Ithaka and a REO for the past few months. I haven't touched cartos except to set up for my wife. This thing performs great. Flavor, vapor ....everything is great. Its definitely different than rebuildables but not in a bad way. Just different. I still love cartos. I recommend them to everybody who wants a good vape without all the fuss. I really enjoy all the fuss, though.

Yeah, I stand by my statements when I first joined ECF. Carto's seem to produce a denser vapor than other atomizers. It doesn't seem like it is more vapor, but I feel rather insane while typing that statement...*clicks button*

I just got started with carto tanks after becoming frustrated with how my favorite juice ran in various clearos (and I tried a bunch of different ones). I'm liking 'em a lot so far. To me, the biggest downside is the excessive amount of noise they make when I draw. I will certainly try some tanked RBAs too; I sense there's a Russian in my future, but also a Sophia (which is replaces a carto in a tank).
