I used to spend 12- 15 bucks a day on smoke or my wife and I and never once did i budget for it. I just did it...no matter what. Now if i want something. I take the time to research it..and wait patiently all the while adding up the 12 bucks a day until i have saved enough ffe smoke money to buy the next cool thing. And while i often spend more since i hate to wait. At least when im done, i get a new shiny mod instead of dirt and ash covering the inside of my truck. So if your worried..theres always diy...or the barter...or wait two weeks figure out what u wouldve spent, and spend accordingly. Make clouds...not war

It would be REALLY hard for me to spend on vaping what I had been spending on cigarettes - around 150-160/week! (I'm not off analogs completely and am new to vaping.) I've spent 120 so far between an ego starter kit and extra liquid. I need to get some attys this week and some more juice at local store. Then that will be it for 6 weeks until I'm in San Diego and get a Provari or something similar.

Heard nothing but great things about the Provari. I am into mechanicals right now, but love my vv/vw.

Vape budgets are easy. If you want something just buy it. If you can't afford it just skip getting food or paying bills. It's easy.

Hardware is the easy part. Getting a decent couple of rigs without throwing money in the garbage is relatively easy. At least if you blow a $100 or 2 on a mod you should easily get your money's worth over time. Juice is the money waster. Especially when you order something you hate. You basically have to order some new juice the same day. If you hate that then the cycle just repeats.

Yes, I have a vape budget. My old smoking costs. Until I get it figured out what I want to be when I'm a fully growed-up vaper, though, I'm not trying to save any money, and have succeeded spectacularly. Been at it hard for six months buying gear, supporting the community, posting on the Forum, and buying gear. I may feel complete at some point, but I haven't reached that point yet. From any normal POV, it's ridiculous, and I couldn't agree more. But sacrifices have to be made. We're saving lives here, and it takes what it takes. I got to breakeven a long time ago, so I've been on a bit of a spending spree lately trying to maintain some sort of balance and perspective. Luckily for me, the wife also vapes, her gear's not that much, and she hasn't called me on it yet. That being said, I won't make it past Christmas. I'm doomed...must get as much as possible in next few months....quote the Raven....nevermore.

I went into this with the expectation that it would be a lot less expensive than smoking. Those ever increasing ...for the childern!!! sin taxes and all. Smokers in MA are about to get whacked with a $1.00 a pack State tax increase, if it hasn't started already. Cheap, bottom feeder cigarettes will be close to $90.00 a carton. Haven't toodled past a Kwikee Mart lately to check.

Anyway. Expectation? Yes. Budget? Not really. See my sig banner? Those numbers are still based on what butts cost me over two years ago when I stopped. I dicken with Quicken so I know my numbers - whether I want to or not. I'm spending 1/3 of what I used to spend on smoking and have way more hardware (liquids too) than I really "need". Me happy.

I was spending about $270 a month on analogs.. So far I went from more then a pack a day to a pack in 3 days or so.. I'm basically in my first week and spent around $120 so far. That included 4 ego's a bunch of tanks and enough mix to make close to a liter of juice. If this thing gets me off the sticks I don't care if I spend $500 a month for a few months as I figure out what I like and want.. The return will much bigger in the end..

I'm spending more than I initially thought I would. I was looking to stop smoking cigs and it's quickly turning into a hobby. As has been mentioned, it's the juice that's getting me. I've bought most of what our local vape shop carries only to find that I hate most of it. My first shipment of online stuff came in today and now I finally think I have some options I can live with. I'm also finding that our local vape shop is way more expensive in regards to gear, but I'm using it to keep off the cigs until all my online stuff comes in. In time I'm certian it will settle down once I've found the stuff that works for me. But I knew going in that this would happen. I'll set a budget when all the details get ironed out.

Oy gevalt! Smokes cost $0.65 a pack when I started. I remember having to pay $0.90 from a cigarette machine(!) in a Chinese restaurant in NYC in 1982; I rejoined my friends at the table and vowed that if they ever hit a dollar, I was gonna quit.

I kept my word. It just took me 31 years to get around to it.

I try to set my budget at $100 a month, that is half of the cost of analogs, I'm sticking pretty close to it, probably more like $150 a month, so not right there, but still cheaper than analogs and I am still trying a lot of juices, once that settles down, think my costs will be a lot lower than $100 a month.
