As a 2-pack a day smoker(until this Sunday), my smoking cost me $400+ each month.
Bought my 1st vaporizer this Saturday evening, and even though I spent quite a bit on it, if I end up staying off the actual cigarettes for 2 months it would cover the cost of my vaping kit and bring $ in - and since I plan to quit long-term the cost of equipment and juices is easily tamed by future savings - unless I start stalking rare mods and get too caught up in the process :)
In other words, I budget with common sense.

I spent about $350 a month as a smoker. A pack in NYC was/is about $12. So $12 x 30 days a month.. I try to keep my vape budget down to about $50 a week. I'm 7 months into vaping and don't waste money on trying new flavors anymore. I order 4 30ml bottles from Halo once a month. That runs me about $75 with a coupon code including shipping. I use carto tanks mostly and get them in bundles from surevapes for about $27for 5 packs of 5 with free shipping. The bundle of cartos lasts about a month and a half. That leaves about $130ish for misc gear. I have 11 mods both regulated and mechanical, a few ego batts, and a Halo G6 kit. I try and keep my routine now and don't buy anything I really don't need anymore. I'm just starting to see a bit of savings now.. The first few months of vaping is the worst part financially. You're in search of your "brand".. Once you find your ADV and a good setup or two then you don't go and buy everything anymore.

I can honestly say I've done the math on this subject I've been vaping since Dec I've been through 3 egos (I kept breaking them) a vamo and 4 vivi novas countless wick and coils. Now I'm on a cargo tank set up I've had over a liter of juice vaped an the math is I have still saved over 2 grand. To get down to the nitty gritty. To smoke a pack a day it cost right at .69 an hour. Vaping juice alone is .02 an hour with my devices and systems I'm currently at .10 an hour. So it's always good to have a budget but of you compare the prices but what ever you want if you use it for a month you have still saved money.

Heard nothing but great things about the Provari. I am into mechanicals right now, but love my vv/vw.

I'm still a total newbie to all this but I love the LOOK of the Provari. Plus, the Ego has been great for getting started but with the battery I have, I feel I could be getting a better draw on it.

Budget? What's that!? I usually spend more than when me and my husband were only smoking RYO and less than when we'd buy packs (4 PAD between the two of us). The main thing that curbs my spending is the hubby saying "quit spending money). Of course he usually says that before asking what I got then saying "That's cool. Get me one tomorrow." :)

$30 a week is my vaping budget, period. It'd be nice to have more, but that's not an option. But, I don't always spend my vaping money on vaping. I just don't need to. Got my Provari and carto tanks. So it's mostly the cost of juice and cartos that I spend each month. Though I am going to get an RDA and mech mod soon. Of course that means more batteries, kanthal, and silica. And, I'd like another Provari (for backup of course). A couple more tanks from IBTanked would be good too. Good thing I have a birthday coming up.

My son and I both switched to vaping at the end of June. We usually spent $155 a month on analogs. After buying 2 900mah vivi nova starter kits, a couple of Kanger ProTanks, extra batteries and juice, I've spent around $183 total so far. We're trying to set a monthly budget now, but are already talking about buying a couple of vv mods next month
