I honestly didn't care for it. It was a buddy's gun, and the trigger was rough, but it was also brand new. I wouldn't buy one, but not for any reason that should dissuade you. I just don't care for the DA/SA of Sig pistols. I've shot plenty of them, and can shoot them fine, I just prefer to have the same trigger pull every time. So my tastes pretty much dictate that I shoot and train either with a traditional SAO pistol, carried in condition 1, or a striker fired polymer. (Of course there's room for exception in the case of the P7, which is one of the best ambidextrous, concealed carry pistols. Learning the manual of arms for that platform is well worth the time)
Had I started shooting with the DA/SA Sigs, I might feel different. Their SRT trigger is nice. Throwing one into my rotation wouldn't do me any good at this point as I'm so used to putting the gun off safe, and shooting. Worrying about decocking just wouldn't work for me.
I think the better Sig option is to get one of their pistols, and matching .22 slide assemblies for it. I usually carry a full size pistol, and the ability to shoot that same gun in .22 makes sense.
First I've seen of this thread as well. Here, I'll contribute. RIA 1911 VZ edition. Love this gun and can't beat it for the price.

Looks nice!
I've heard that the RIA 1911's are excellent values. How much did this one run ya?
I bought this pistol for $650 I believe. Probably ran about 500 rnds through it so far and it eat whatever it's fed.
Need two of them with Punisher grips on em! Man those things are SWEEEEET!First I've seen of this thread as well. Here, I'll contribute. RIA 1911 VZ edition. Love this gun and can't beat it for the price.

Not bad, for a 1911.
I've been considering a Ruger 1911, but it's not near the top of the list. A sweet 9mm is probably my next pistol... leaning toward a Sig Sauer P2022 with the threaded barrel. I'd go for a truly full sized model, but my state's laws are currently f'ed up and the issue is in court, so I'm limited to mags that're 15 rnds or less. Apparently, as a law abiding, tax paying citizen, I can't be "trusted" with anything more.![]()
I will absolutely own a ruger sr1911 at some point. Everybody that I know that owns one loves it and wouldn't trade it for the world. The fit and finish on them is very nice, not to mention the very reasonable pricing
Naaaah!! not at all, lolol. such a nice collection man. is that a pkm in the middle?!?!?!
Wow how have i never seen this thread!!! Im game! Ya'll got some good lookin hardware all over this thread!!! AR, AK, big, small, I love them all!!!
No kidding, I just noticed it myself. There are some beauties in here for sure. My budget & buying a house recently has slowed the growth of the collection considerably but I've got a little of everything I need. Currently I'm looking at a Sig P229 in .40SW for my next purchase & to replace my current daily carry, the LCP. After that one I've been looking at AR's. I want a complete carbine to start with & will probably start building one from scratch after that, more than likely a full length.
Love my p229..
