Ok, the honeymoon is over and I'm ready to declare myself a fanboy of the dream 804 lol. I've rewicked several times now and I'm getting very consistent results. They are a little fiddly, but as gordong11 pointed out to me, it's just new device fiddly and not that hard to learn.

And they are ruining me for every thing else I have lol. I even got used to the loose draw and took off the tape I had blocking half of the air hole. At a mere 7 watts, I'm getting the low level frying sounds of a good atty and vapor and flavor is excellent.

I do wish it held a little more juice but on the other hand, and as some others here have mentioned, I'm glad it doesn't change the flavor any.

I would like to pick up a short mouth piece. Any suggestion on where to find a cheap one? I've checked a couple of my vendors and don't see any.

I need some advice with this thing. I've read through this thread and watched 3-4 YouTube videos on how to wick/fill this thing, but nothing is working. I keep getting a moderately tight draw where the juice doesn't seem to flow correctly. I've set the wicks in the channels (tight draw, not wicking), wrapped the wick around like in the pictures here with the purple looking wicks (tight draw, not wicking), cut the wicks short so they don't cover the slots (tight draw, not wicking), and tried the two loop wick I saw on a YouTube video (tight draw, not wicking). I've tried filling from the top and flipping before tightening, from the top w/o flipping, from the bottom w/ a needle and middle piece covering hole, and from the bottom w/ a stopper in the hole. I had it where it seemed good (looser draw, good flavor) for a brief second this morning somehow (can't remember what I tried), but it started leaking from the air hole w/in 30 seconds. What am I missing? What would cause the tight draw and poor juice flow? The wick isn't covering the air hole because I've pulled it up a bit to keep it from doing so. Ideas?

The only thing I can think of is re checking that the wick isn't too close to the air hole (wick should be at least 1mm above air hole), checking that there's nothing in the air hole from the bottom chamber up to the wick, and checking the top of the chimney to make sure it doesn't have anything in it. The draw on these is very easy...if fact too easy for most.

I'd take the thing completely apart and check the air though each piece one piece at a time then go from there.

I just checked the air flow. It seems like the bottom part (bottom two piece together w spring between) may be the problem. The airflow there is really tight. The draw is loose when i put the middle piece on, but that's just air coming through the two wick holes. It tightens considerably when I hold my fingers over thos holes. How loose is the draw for other folks? Does it compare to a T3? How big is the air hole on the side supposed to be? Even when I put the whole thing together, but with now wick or juice, the draw is tight.

I'm am vaping the Dream with new Jameson Forbidden Fruit. This is like the best juice I have ever vaped (12mg), keep it hush (limited stock, I'm sure) and buy some....Holy ...., this vape is off the scale

Jameson's - Juice

The juice is more expensive than the Dream! but it worth the indulgence, Too expensive for me to use as an all day'er, but it is a true treat.

Finally I found site with more high-end stuff

THANKS! :D

I ordered 2 long vrsion yesterday. Right now , I have a 0.8 ohm coil 28 ga on Nextel xc-116 on the original version.Really really nice. Seriously, I don't have any of the hi end gennies, just Aga' s Chid's Cobras and RSST but I don't see how the vape can get better. Drippers are the only real competition, BT-801 IGO L and A7 all taste great but this is one I can take on the road. It does not leak.. Gonna try for a recessed box mod of some kind for this long rba.

look how small the air hole is!

Looks like they've gone from one extreme to another lol. It should be fairly easy to drill it to your preferred size though. I've got so used to the light draw that I prefer it now and it's sort of ruined me for my other attys.

In case anyone is interested, Todd just posted a review on the ss extended dream a few days ago. He's still taking the silica down into the slots though and he actually enlarged them a little. He uses low ohm coils and the wicking didn't seem to keep up until he enlarged the slots.

I would suggest trying the method shown in this thread first. I also make sure my wicks are toward the top of the space, which gives a little room over the channels for juice. In other words, like in the pictures but not resting down on the shelf above the channels. I wrap them around then turn it upside down and screw the chimney on from the bottom. Seems to work really well. When I refill, I sometimes get a little gurgle for the first two or three vapes and sometimes not, but either way mine wick extremely well. I use standard ohm coils and only chain two or three puffs in a row though and that might make a difference.

I'd like to try the Nextel xc-116 like bilboda mentioned above. I'm hoping the price comes down on it as more people start using it. I use a lot of caramel and vanilla in my mixes and it gunks my cotton wicks really quick lol. I'm sometimes replacing them after as little as 6 ml of juice.

Ah, a smaller hole would result in more suction of the juice. Maybe that is offset with a juice channel change.

The initial price of the Nextel XC-116 may seem high but it doesn't wear out I dry burn it until the gunk is ash, blow it off and I have a clean wick again, pristine even.

You got to have faith in the vaccuum. It keeps juice from flowing into the chamber. I get enough juice into the chamber and when it reaches the wick it gets soaked up. I had a little ss mesh straw in the center channel but it ended up with too much juice in the chamber because of reduced air flow. I vaped it till the end though without much issue..
Covering the channels or wrapping the wick around just doesn't seem necessary when you have a fat wick. That fatty will soak up what juice comes in during the pull and the juice will stop entering the chamber when you stop your pull. The amount of juice that enters is directly related to the air flow. Too tight = more juice gurgling and maybe a flood.
The current model is loose but a ton of vapor on the 0.8 ohm coil with short 2-3 second pulls. Way more nic in the vape than I am used to.
I gotta take it easy.
Looking forward to the longer version. I'll mess with it til it works. Makes me want a Kayfun 2.1. Hard to rationalize spending that much but I did just spend $40 for the 2 extended kayfakes. another 100.00 or so..ah some day....maybe...

I think several have mentioned that they had to lower their nic content lol. I went from 12 to 6 and that seems to be working out for me. It's a good thing, because I also went from 2 and 1/2 to 3 ml per day, to about 5 ml per day. :vapor:

Almost all of the juices I vape are tank crackers, I would grab one of these immediately if the center portion was glass or stainless.

I wish they would have the center part screw together and no threads on the tank. Then people could use glass if they wanted it. As bilboda mentioned, the vivi metal tanks should fit, but I can't imagine not being able to see my juice in these things.
