Guess I missed this one, was going to order the $15 sample pack ("404! This page no longer exists")?

I sent an e-mail over to Mike. The navigation bar link doesn't work, but the "slider" image links to a non-existent page. Hopefully they'll get that fixed soon!

I have Apple Jacks on the way, and I honestly can't wait to test it out as I used to pour through boxes of it when I was younger (and I'm in the mood for some right now oddly enough)! I'm going to be doing some testing on their more "basic" flavors in the next few days to week as well to see how well they stack up, so I'll make sure to report back with the details.

For those that may not have head back from them regarding a free sample request, it looks like this thread has generated a little extra business for them and they've been a little busy, so if you've not heard back from them regarding your sample order, he said please be patient. Just forwarding some info over so no-one feels left out. Free is in high demand regardless of company :).

As for the Rice Krispies Treat I was working on, so far it's an ADV and I'm loving it with the Bavarian Creme. I think that and TFA's Marshmallow really blend well together and negates the need for a butter flavoring. That said, I don't have butter on-hand, so I can't do a side by side comparison. Maybe soon though!

I ordered some free samples yesterday but now there are no free samples. :(
I didn't receive an email confirmation either.

I was just about to place an order for their cereal sample pack for $14.99 BUT they charge $12.77 for USPS Shipping?? They can put 4 10ml bottles in a small flat rate USPS Box for $5.80. :(

I am sad I was looking forward to ordering.....

All sample orders, from what Mike has told me, are manually filled, so that means the only time you'll get confirmation is when the samples are sent out. This can take a few days to a week as they're a bit swamped due to the requests coming in. He said they were receiving up to 75-100 requests per day for samples in his last e-mail, so I can see why it takes a little extra time.

Everyone who got a free sample request in prior to the form being removed should receive their samples without any issues. Just give it a few days to a week. I waited 2-3 days before Mike got in touch with me initially and had them 2-3 days later.

They are going to be doing some cheaper sample packs as of now. This doesn't mean they'll never offer free samples again, but for now they're looking to catch up due to the number of requests previously sent in. This way they don't get super backlogged and upset some by forcing major delays.

Nothing final just yet. I'm still experimenting with the Bavarian and Sweet Cream levels.

RK from OOO is @ 10% and Marshmallow from TFA is @ 6%, but I'm contemplating Toasted Marshmallow from TFA. BC is from TFA and SC is from FW and mixed at 2-3% each, but I think my next batch may drop the BC and up the SC by 1% to see how well it works.

The BC adds a rather creamy taste to it, but I think it's overpowering the sweet/salty SC.

So, Tac...what was your final recipe for the RCT mix? Is it true to the actual RCT?

Have you previously tried any RCT recipes? I found a couple....one using a cereal flavoring and another using yellow cake. Just mixed the latter Monday, but haven't tried it yet (need to clean my tank).

Here they are in case you think there might be something you think might assist you towards the perfection you're seeking. :)

Rice Crispy Treats
1 drop Pyrazine
1.5% cap Graham cracker
1.5% Vanilla bourbon
1% caramel original
2.5% Bavarian creme
6% toasted mm
4% cap MM
.25% cereal

Rice Crispy Treat
4% EcigExpress Signature Marshmallow
3% LorAnns Butter
3% Flavor West Yellow Cake

The first one has such a small amount of the cereal flavoring and has graham cracker in it....so it makes me wonder how close it would even be to the true flavor of RCT....but I thought the second was worth a try. Needless to say, I flipped when I saw OOO carrying a RK flavor! Could it be that there is truly a chance that I might finally be able to create that "holy grail" joose?

I'm so new to DIY that I really must stick to recipes. I venture out and try something on my own that just pounds good and it never works out. LoL

I'd recommend starting at 5% and working your way up in 1-2% increments. It has a strong aroma straight from the bottle and at a 15% mix it smells like you poured the bottle into your juice if that gives you a idea as to how strong it is :). I can't vape it at 15%, it's just too much, but that's not a bad thing, it just means that bottle is going to last a little longer than expected!

Levitas

Vanilla Custard & Sweet Creme tend to blend pretty well and I've found they elevate the DDC quite a bit. If I'm blending, I start with 8% DDC and then 2-5% on the others since they're not the primaries. So far with a 5-Flavor combination, DDC is still the one flavor you taste the most, but the others build a background for it and give it a little more.

On its own, I still love it and I'm not a fan of chocolate, but there's just something about it that I really like and the 5-Flavor combo is what's in my tank right now. I've been vaping it all day long.

I went ahead and made a 5% gummy bear mix, 70/30 20mg. Vaping it now on an igo-l cotton wick. At very first vape I thought it was quite tasty yet a tad mediciney. But now that I've been vaping it for a bit, the medicineyness has subsided a little. I first thought to mix it down to 2-3% but now I think 5% is fine, mayyybe 4%. I'm getting good flavor and will let it steep before altering it, if at all. It's inly been about 24hrs since I made it so we'll see.

I've got high hopes for the sweet tart I made at the same time (also 5%). Haven't tried it yet. But it smells awesome. All in all, I think one on one will be a repeat purchase (or 1st purchase to be exact!) :)

So far so good :). I'm liking the flavor, but I only put about 3ml in the tank so the rest of it could steep. Running low on nicotine until the WL shipment of 100mg/ml comes through today or tomorrow ;-).

I've always wondered about this...does liquid steep in a tank? I mean it does get heat, and it gets sloshed around, just no air. I feel like it steeps at least somewhat? Hmm

I'll be doing a second batch with modified flavors tonight or tomorrow morning. The one I have now is tasty, but it's not 100% (then again, the sweetness of the sugar is missing - but I don't care much for EM).

I'm thinking Toasted Marshmallow will make it into v1.1 and a reduction as mentioned above, just to see where it gets me. Can't hurt :).

As for the above, not sure how either of them would work, but do let me know. The first seems like it'd just be off due to flavors and the second due to no cereal or true flavoring.

Yes, I can honestly say it does. Tanks are not 100% airtight, regardless of how tight you tighten them and when you inhale air is coming in the base, up through the tube (on a Protank), so air does get in there, even if it's just slight :).

If it was airtight, you'd most likely run the risk of a higher burn rate.

I'm working on perfecting a Rice Krispy Treat blend right now. So far, it tastes great and has a great throat hit @ 18mg. It's one of very few flavors blends I can vape all day and actually keep the throat hit on (there's about 3 right now and they all have OOO flavors in the blend).

I can't say OOO flavoring is the exact reasoning, it may just be a fluke, but they seem to help and don't dilute as much as some flavorings do from the past 5 months of blending (been at it longer than that, just the last 5 months have been "hardcore" mode).

Hoping to pick up some new flavors soon as I really need to get out of the buttery & creamy flavors into some fruits so I can expand my potential ADV's :).

Which are your other TH heavyweight contenders?
Also, how's the rice krispy solo?

I got the Rice Krispie from ONe on One and i think it's really good!

I don't get overly fancy, mixed it with a little sweet cream and some VG nic, and it's a real nice vape.

(when I test new flavors I always try them solo, and then close to solo, otherwise I'm not going to know what taste I'm dealing with.)

I think One on One was very generous to let the public test some of their flavorings, and I want to send Mike a big THANK YOU!

I will definitely be ordering some flavorings from One On One!

Solo, it's not bad, as long as you don't overdo it. So far, 10% on RK alone is about my max as it's a strong flavor. You could probably get by with a little less, though in a blend, you pretty much need to stick with 10% so other flavors don't cause the cereal flavor to fade.

So far, all of the cereal flavors from OneOnOne are true to their names, but going over 10-12% and they will start to taste a little odd, but that's the case with any flavor, so it's not an issues specific to theirs. Mixing too high will either mute or give you a flavor surge that isn't exactly what you're expecting :).

Case in point, Fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA and Fruit Loops. I mixed at 15% and woo...it's potent. Never again! I'll be sticking with 10% on both of them as well, which is good; my flavoring will last longer this way! Not something I have an issue with at all :).

In terms of throat hit, their flavors don't seem to mute it like many do. LorAnn is horrible for this in my experience as are some from TFA. I don't have any issues with FlavorArt - they're pretty great, but I think they have a competitor, especially if OneOnOne continues to grow their presence and expand their flavor line-up.

Mike said they're open to suggestions, so if they don't have a flavor and you'd order it from them, let them know, or let me know and I'll make the suggestion since I talk to him a few times a week. If it's a good flavor that'll sell, they'll probably carry it.

No problem :). I'm hoping to have Apple Jacks here next week as well as an assortment of other flavors. In the mean time, I'll be playing around with RKT. I'm still undecided on the direction I want to go with v1.1 because v1 is quite good, I just think it's missing a little bit.

I need to get some vanilla beans and work on aging a pure vanilla flavor, but the beans are costly for what they are, how long it takes to do it and the minimal yield per bean.
