Having 17 dna mods, RDAs, RTA, squonkers, etc. I got sucked into the pod craze when Blu offered pods for a buck. They are not bad for a buck, but I wouldn't pay much more for them. But that was the gateway drug into playing around with other pods. And I really like the Vladdin. Very consistent vape every time and they vape all of my juices just fine. Lots of pods needs 50VG (or less) to wick correctly. And I am vaping my pods more than I am with my other mods. And my 18th dna should be here in two days. I wonder if I am actually going to use it?

@stols001 I'm not sure that I understand. Although the web is increasingly accessed by mobile devices, desktop computers still exist. Likewise, I also don't think that the popularity of pod devices will bring the destruction of other mods. It's the elected officials, who supposedly represent all of us--haha, that might bring the destruction of vaping as we know it.

I saw a segment on local TV a couple of weeks ago about the Juul nightmare sweeping America. It did actually include comments from some type of expert about how they can help people get off cigarettes. But the segment was based around an interview with a guy in his late teens who had become "addicted" to them. He started doing it to get off cigs, ended up still smoking just as much but being hooked on Juul on top of that. He said it only takes ten days to become addicted to vaping. Lost for words.

Wow, they grew another mouth? That's the only way I can see becoming addicted to something that requires your mouth while still using your mouth to continue the other addiction.

Are you saying that size DOES matter? o_O

Yes. And not only that, you have to know how to use it.

Although it does sort of raise the question of how millennials handle their "size" and maybe that's why participation trophies are a thing.

I never let my son accept one, but I hope he is you know, large and in charge from it, but that is NOT the type of thing even *I* would ask my kid. Etc.

Also now that I unexpectedly have the job I first applied for, once I can, I am going to freaking buy a replay mod.

I also LIKE two battery mods, even though I vape at an all powerful like, 16 watts, max.

I could probably handle the lost vape mirage though, no sense in giving up all my hard won frugality and etc., at least not ALL AT ONCE.

I don't have an opinion on freaking pod mods, I've vaped a Juul once, it was enticing but not THAT enticing and I bet my brain would have adjusted quickly.

LOL.

This was posted and deleted, this AM here:

"Hey, I know the policy is to be 18+ but I seriously need help, I'm 15, I vape everyday. I usually use salted nicotine juices in my suorin air pod system. I'm very addicted to vaping, I can't get a buzz anymore. In order to get a buzz I have to vape too much and it makes me sick just to get my "fix". I need help from you guys to tell me what to do. I have a smok alien 85w baby mod which I can't get buzzed off of (6mg at 40-80watts) I need help, please don't ban me, what do I do to cut down. Banning me will just make my situation worse (but if you have to, I'll just prob overdose really hard one day and have a be a huge problem)"

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

If that was a Sock Puppet, I at least hope it was an Adult Sock Puppet.

Because there is Nothing Worse than Under-Aged Sock Puppets.

I broke down and finally decided to try a couple of pods. I kinda like the Suorin Air and the Drop. The tiny things fit in change purse or about any pocket and come in handy. Yeah, I got a MyBlu too.

I was an all day smoker and am an all day vaper. These would not be good for that, but so much better than the original e-cigs I got started with so long ago.

For years people asked for a cig-alike with more umph and longer power. I would say many of the small pods are very much this. They do have a use in my arsenal and I do think they are here to stay.

Unfortunately, I do think closed systems are in the future of the commercial vaping marketplace. Of course, there are also many inventive people who come up with how to hack the system!

I have about 12 mods, sub ohm is my thing, wilL never be replaced by a closed pod system. But I have just bought an Aspire Breeze 2, replaceable coils and refillable, nic salts made by me with Benzoic Acid, smelly stuff! Either DIY juice or cheat with Flavour Boss pre mixed concentrates, no flavour yet beats my first DIY mix! Clo$$$ED POD NO WAY$$$

That may be true but ATM I am focusing on stuff like paying off my car. LOL. Maybe not like a rocket missile but a barge or something. I'm only planning on one shiny at the moment, and it doesn't have to be today, or even after my first paycheck. Me and the husband is gonna do a BUDGET  Horrifying but yea, I will throw a BIT of shinyitis in the budget and it will cause me to choose carefully and etc., because it will be BUDGETED.

LOL.

Didn't read the whole thread but I'll say: here to stay.

Everything reaches a saturation point and seems to taper off. The same thing seems to have happened with squonk mods - after wallowing in relative obscurity with a small and fiercely loyal following, squonking seemed to quickly catch fire with the mainstream recently, and then kind of level off after a flurry of new products.

There are only so many ways of repackaging the same concept before we shift our attention to "the next big thing". I don't think pods will disappear, just find their niche.

I hope it doesn't fall back into obscurity. Seems some big manufactures have come out with a "one and done" mod.
Next year we will see if they make improvements and continue to release better squonk mods.

I also believe pod mods are the future for new vapers, and even veterans that want a more portable stealth mod.

I think the pods will continue to evolve. Started totally closed. Now most are made to be refilled and some are becoming small mod sized. I'm hoping the next evolution will be some power regulation -- for "advanced" users, of course and perhaps even a power button. :)

There are quite a few with power buttons. Although there's definitely nothing as customizable as larger mods, there are a few that change wattage with different pods/coils. For example, the Panda has 8W and 12W coils. And the Ystar Shake changes voltages from 3.2v to 4.2v when you shake. I think there will be more.

I'd like to see a small pod designed to be taken apart, cleaned, and rebuilt with a fresh coil and cotton. I'm thinking of just a regular coil, not a more expensive prebuilt drop in coil/cotton (like on the Breeze 2). There are a few that can be rebuilt but none are really designed to be rebuilt. Sorta doubt it will happen since the companies want to make money from selling more pods. ;) But it would be cool... especially something small like the size of a Juul or Myblu or Smok Infinix etc.
