Cute pups! I'm not a big dog fan myself(too much work), but I like other people's when they've trained them well.

Thanks! Yes, Its a lot of work but its 100% worth it! They are well trained and amazing little companions. The fact that they are Pit Bulls throws people off sometimes, but after one minute people see how well behaved and sweet they are.

Can i ask what kind you use? I don't like the ones that you have to buy disposable receptacles of, but I got one that dumped into plastic bags (like the kind you get when shopping at safeway), and it broke down in about a month and 1/2 (just long enough for the warranty to expire).

I have a Smart Scoop which uses the plastic bags. We have had it for 2 yrs and it is still going strong. I probably will not buy another one though because it throws clumped litter out the end due to the design.

My other cat box is a Littermaid. I have been using the various versions of them for 10 yrs and realize they generally do not last more than 1 - 1.5 yrs before breaking. While they do work, they are great and allow me to use 1 cat box for every 2 cats.

With the Smart Scoop and the Littermaid, I empty the holding containers daily and when I do, I also scoop through the litter. I wash and reuse the plastic bags and the plastic containers because I hate to be wasteful. They usually last anywhere from 1 - 3 months.

A few years ago we bought a Cat Genie which is one of the self cleaning boxes that also washes the litter. It was an early version and had a lot of issues plus my Ragdoll cat hated it. We are considering buying another Cat Genie or one of the other brands since they have gotten better.

One other thing, I have tried about every cat litter on the market and the best yet is "Special Kitty" from Wal Mart. They have 2 versions of clumping litter, one in an orange box and one in a maroon box. The one in the maroon box is the best and inexpensive.

I had a little shih tzu mix named Phoebe. She's about 9 years old. Rescued her from a pretty bad abuse situation. She only had fur on half her body, a terrible skin infection and fleas crawling all over her. She had been abused and used to panic if you came near her. But I've had her about 3 years now and she's much better now. Very sweet dog. She's so attached to my sister, that I let her go live with her and she's definitely spoiled.

The picture is of Sandy. I call her a runtweiler. I've been trying to figure out what she's mixed with, but who knows. She's 12 years old, about 70 pounds, and the best dog. She was also very abused before I got her and had some aggression when she was younger, but these days she's old and just loves for someone to pet her. She's glaring at me in this picture becuase I woke her up. haha (sorry camera's not very good)

I have two ....z-tzu. My male is Epoh (hope spelled backwards) and my female is Kamoji (Japanese for wife and mother). Epoh is brown and white, Kamoji is black and white. My little girl is pregnant with her first litter and we are expecting puppies in September.

I also have temporary custody of my daughters cat. Her name is Lopsak (long story) and I don't know what kind she is. I was supposed to watch her for 3 months while my daughter was studying a semester in Spain. That was about 3 years ago!

I had a ....-a-poo named Hoobie for 15 years. I finally had to put him to sleep. After that my fried bought me a ....z-tzu Llaso Apso mix named Chance. He was my special pal for about 8 years. One night he ran out into the driveway of my apartment complex and got hit by a car. Luckily he died instantly. I was devasted and determined to never have a dog again. But the minute I saw Epoh I fell in love, and when I was given Kamoji as a Christmas gift I was totally hooked again.

All of my babies get along great together. I live alone and don't know white I would do without them in my life. They are not just my pets, they are a part of my life.

I just realized that the site bleeped out the brand of my animals. Kinda funny.

That looks a lot like my last dog, except she was only around 50 pounds.
They told us she was a shephard/terrier mix, but we were never really sure if we believed it.

And when I say terrier I mean pit bull of course.
:)

They said she was a doberman mix when I got her, she did sort of look like it when she was young, now she just looks like a tootsie roll. :) She didn't have any white on her until she was about 5 or so, it just appeared one day.

We have a standard red-haired Dachshund, Vern, that we rescued from death row. Hilarious little dog, so full of love and happy to be alive. Took a while to get him comfortable though, he had been abused, then was a stray for a while.

Then there's the cat. Tony. He's a 20-pound jerk. He was so mean, we almost got rid of him. But the vet did some.... modifications.... and now, while he's still a jerk (mean @$^$%# is more like it) he is at least mostly harmless. Unless he sits on you. Ooph!

Carbon is our small, 8-pound cat. She's your typical reclusive but loving cat. I tell people she's the one you have to watch out for though - she still has all her sharp bits ;)
