Pack and a half to two pack per day smoker for forty five years. Total vaper for two years now. When I initially tried to make the switch I tried using the Blu cigalikes. Major disappointment. I got some eGo's from a vape shop. Vast improvement, but still smoked two or three cigarettes a day for nine months. Then I underwent radiation therapy and smoked for three months. At the end of that I went total vape. After three weeks I couldn't stand the thought of another cigarette.

Total vaper since 11-9-13. It took a couple of months of dual use to hit the magic combo of equipment and juice to flick the last butts to oblivion.
Happy vapeversary!

Dedicated vaper > (TOTAL)

I'd say that if someone is a member then they are a dedicated vaper. Those who are active online members of an e cig forum are no doubt "clued up" about absolutely everything vaping related. And so therefore have no difficultly in finding exactly what they need to fulfill their vaping requirements.

On the other hand there is everyone else who are quite simply "floundering" in the vaping department. Making do with the crap their local B&M pushes on them and finally realising that vaping is just plain rubbish.

A solution to this obvious problem in expanding the vaping community and helping people quit smoking would be to have B&M's which incorporate online stock and encourage their customers to shop via their online outlet to save money and discover a much larger variety of options. I for one am not seeing this.

Not something you don't already know though !.

It's just that the thriving vaping community is made up of those people who buy most of their vaping goodies online.

It's obvious, to me anyhow, that if someone walks into a B&M they are more than likely going to get sold a bunch of crap, in contrast to what's available online anyway.

This is where we live aint it, online !!?.

My GF quit years before I actually did it myself but while I progressed to MOD and tanks she is still using the Cig-A-Likes although now she is refilling them since the Logic Brand have resin in price. I taught her how to do it and she refuses to use a MOD but there has to be a Pen Style MOD out there she will use. She will never go back to smoking the killer sticks because they did her mother in but I really want to get her to switch to a MOD.

@DavidOck,

I believe the flavor will be the key for her. I like pastry/fruit style liquids. She isn't too keen on those. I'll have to get her a tobacco sampler and see if that interests her more.

If that does not work, have her try simple one flavor flavors. Was very disappointed in complex flavors so vaped (mostly) unflavored for about a year until I discovered peppermint! Also like menthol despite not being a menthol smoker but it vape tongues very quickly for me.
