Why they chose that particular position for the sky deck - I don't know. If it would've been lower the chimney would've been longer and the vape cooler. Obviously we talking about the same tank height. May be that how they like to vape? Personally I am fine with the vape temperature. I am using clapton coil 0.8 ohm @ 23W with the supplied non-curved mouth piece and it's slightly warm, subjective of course.
Positive thoughts, I guess. She's an awesome GM though, how the heck does that work????
Well, I agree that the term micro coils to denote contact coils should be dropped--it just confuses the heck out of people, especially new vapers. Contact vs spaced is the correct term.
The question remains, what do we do with drip tips? Nobody drips through them any more.
Or mods? Nobody modifies flashlights or Altoid tins to make more powerful and longer lasting power sources (?). Come to think of it, we don't even have a proper term for the two most important components we use and talk about daily--bottoms and tops of of our devices. We started with "battery" and "atomizer" or "cartomizer" when all we had were cigalikes? But what do we call them now? Battery (no, battery now just means battery), mod (it's not), power source (give me a break), PV (didn't take). Any ideas? And the thing that goes on top of the bottom part? Attys or atties)), toppers, tanks, clearos, juice delivery devices?
Not to mention sub-ohming, which really doesn't mean what it used to mean when the term was first introduced.
Carry on!![]()
Drip tip should be changed to mouth piece. I already fought the "mod" fight 5 years ago. I agree "mod" means "modified" and nearly no one is using a "modified" device. I think they should be called PV's (Personal Vaporizers) or something like that.
"Sub-ohming" seems pretty straight forward as using a coil that measures less than 1 ohm.
I was wondering if they used the Sirens as inspiration. Phil actually says I one video that we where surprised when a certain tank came on the market (obvious the Siren 2), and that led me to believe maybe they didn't use it as inspiration...did they?
I have one, like the flavor and ease of putting on a coil and a wick, but there is a big gap between the tank and mod when using on an MVP4. Same with the Coolfire 4 18650 and the Coolfire mini![]()

Tips? Does that sound au curant? I have no prob with drip tips as an identifier, but I can see how newbs might be confused. Mouth pieces? I dunno, Ya, , , sounds like a night guard.

I'm with you on "mods", but it's become old hat to refer to them that way. Habit, bay'bee. I tend to (= try to) call them devices, but even THAT word can be interpreted.

I can't help you too much here. The bottom is a vaporizer (to me), or a device (soooooooo generic). The atty, tank, clearo, or "jdd" is a topper. I named it such and haven't let go.

Kat you're such a darlink you know...you've got That way with the words..
Seriously..one thing that does bother me with the Siren (and looks like its similar with the Ares) is that wee little space between the chimney and glass...yeah it gets weirder..
Sometimes I like to mix a few liquids (just for the hell of it) in one tank..little bit of this...little bit of that...and some WTA. Sometimes it works wonders and I can't remember what I did..
Anyway that damn gap can't let me do that in the Siren. I can't tilt and shake it up. It just lays in layers...
Yeah I know its my silly problem..just thought i'll throw my little thumbs down into the mix...![]()
Oh, I think most people here got my point. Supposably, over 70% of the people on this forum are pretty smart. The other half just won't get it. (and I covered "to")That is either really bad or really funny. Speaking of, we can't forget "there", "their", and "they're" or "to", "too" and "two" when reading people's posts.
And, as any early Siren followers know, the version one was pretty popular in 22mm around here and sold out everywhere. When directly asked, Digi said they were not planning on making more. There are/were some other similar tanks of which I do not recall the names.
Perhaps Digi found out about the Ares and quickly produced a Siren II?
Or, Digi simply wasn't interested?
No sense speculating -- only Demi and PB and know how it all came about. I just know that if I were a reviewer and wanted to come out with a product, I'd choose to use the manufacturers I had good experiences with.
Ha Ha its not by choice though...English isn't my first choice of language. I'm stumbling through it, but won't give up...i'll get there...or maybe somewhere in the end...Why, thank you, Fred! You've also got kwite the wayward words.
