Yeah, it's only a design flaw if it affects all of them. Just a tolerance issue during production. I have 4 and none of them have the problem. I remember a number of pages back there was someone that had that oring squeezing out of the slider too. More than likely a tolerance issue with the oring.

It was me who reported oring "squeezing out" issue. Got the second Ares yesterday, seems perfect, neither squeezing nor leaking. I agree, production deviations/tolerance issue. They should've included couple spares. Or offer them as a separate kit. Great vape though.

That's good to hear that the problems with the Top Cap have been Mostly/Completely resolved. Maybe the person that sent that email to Phil about that, got some positive movement in that direction, and that's a Good thing. I'll just keep my eye on this tank for a while longer though, just in case.

4 of them  ?? Geebus.;) Save some for the rest of us Carnage.

So after 1 day with the Ares here are my initial thoughts:

- building and rewicking is very easy, have to experiment with the wick though... first time I think I took not enough wick and it started to taste a little burnt, tried scottish roll this morning and this seems to work better.
- the top cap seems NOT to be completely seal the tank - that´s a little disappointing I must say. After half a day I found that I had some juice traces around the top cap, nothing really serious, but noticable.
- one thing that I really miss from this tank is: throat hit! I don´t know why but I get almost no throat hit from my juice ( I only use 3 MG base and will NOT go higher) compared to my two other main tanks, the Skyline and the SXK doggy 2K16 ... the absense of throat hit makes the vape much less satisfying.
- I found this tank drinks a LOT of juice... the first 5 ml where gone in a breeze.

So it´s not the "Uber tank" I hoped it would be. Gotta experiment a bit more with coils, builds and wicks, but I will most probably NOT replace my Skyline as my main tank.

K.

TH, Kusie? I'm not really sure how a tank would produce that. From my experience, TH is a product of the percentage of PG and the mg. strength of your v-liquid mix. No?

So you might be the first to say this tank drinks/guzzles. This sound VERY Siren-esque to me.

Edit: Really, moderator?? Must be automated. ...'y is shorthand for assembly! Or should I say ***embly:)

Thanks for the 'splanation, Bdawg. I had NO klue what "'y" was. :D

Throat hit is there for me. It actually kind of freaked me out at first, though I was getting a burnt hit right in the back of the throat. Haven't experienced that since my Kayfun days.

My Ares is scheduled to be delivered today. But, Dashvapes requires a signature and proof of age...so, rather than being dropped in our community mailbox, I'll need to go get it on Monday as I'm not home today. Bah.

That’s odd, dashvapes delivered straight to my door with no signature or anything else required.

Probably different regulations...I'm in Canada, you're in the U.S.

I find it annoying as I've ordered from them already, no need to have those requirements after the first order, in my opinion....Ah well.

Doesn't surprise me too much, really. Workers seem to do their own thing sometimes. But, it's happened to both my orders and it's clearly stated on their website. Anyway....

It's here now. Happened to be waiting at the Post Office for me after work. Just sitting down to open 'er up and build it. Will probably post some initial thoughts later tonight or tomorrow.

Just got my Ares in and all I can say is WOW. Used the included coil reading 1.1 and set at 15 watts. Compared to the Kanger Top tank Mini rba well...there is no comparison. I needed a bib to cape it. It leaked bad. So far no leaks and have the Air set the second smallest hole.

He is bias because he has his fingers in with the Siren V2, I have been active in the thread of the siren v1, and most agree it it a great flavor tank. The biggest complaints with the Siren V1 was leaking.

Also the Siren V2 wasn't released when they started on the Ares, so call BS they copied parts of the Siren V2.

Also I will say IMO the flavor is better on the Ares than the Siren V2.

So his issue is that they borrowed ideas from the other RTAs instead of coming up with something completely different?

Newsflash, vaping is almost a decade old. Anything you're bound to release is most probably based on the work of others before you. Choosing the between the good ideas and evolving on them is what makes successful products.

I haven't got my hand on an Ares yet so I have no personal idea of how good the flavour is. He makes contradicting statements about how MTL (and any RTA to that extent) works. He does get some parts right but clearly doesn't understand how everything works together.
