Well, I was going to wait on the sidelines for this one. But yesterday, I broke the center post on one of my Kayfun Mini V3's, so I need another tank. I'm assuming everyone here is using the 5 ml version? The only place I can find the 2 ml is fasttech, and they don't list it in stock. I'd really prefer the smaller tank, but I guess no one has even tried it yet.

Glad to say top is still staying dry.
Put in my standard build - kanthal 28g, 2.4mm, 9 wraps, 1.6ohms, muji.
Flavor still great!
Rich, full, saturated.
And while obviously this tank isn't a cloud-chucking-DTL unit,
the vapor production is impressive. (and more juice consumption)
Sorry to say -> getting some tiny weeping from the airflow ring on this build.
Nothing like the Siren, but after 2 tanks it's there.
Maybe just a little light on the cotton, or wick too close to airhole...
(eta: I've got the coil down super close to the airhole - like 1mm)
The Siren V1 seemed to like a 3.0mm coil better.
Too early to say, but for me - the Ares may need a 3.0mm (more room for cotton) to stay dry.

To update on my Ares experiences.

I’ve rebuilt and rewicked at least 1 Ares, every night this week. Mainly because, it’s my first rta, and because I’ve been trying a boat load of different diy juice I just made a few weeks ago.

I got some 28 and 26 kanthal wire spoils off amazon, and some KGD cotton pads. Super cheap for both, and I have a looooong time supply now. I also bought a little coil tool for $9 off amazon. Nifty little tool and allowed me to try a lot of new things.

The only time I ever had leaking with the Ares, was with a 3mm coil. 2.5mm and 2mm seem to work better in that regard. I only ever got a lot of cotton browning (from 10% ry4d juice), in a 3mm coil. Again, the 2/2.5 stayed nice and clear.

My spaced coil with dimis coil tool come out to .8 ohms. I’m vaping on that build right now with some nic river strawberry biscuit, and it’s really nice.

I did different variations of 2mm, 2.5mm, spaced and fused coils this week. It’s hard for me to say what worked the best, the flavor was pretty damn good with every build this newbie tossed in there.

I got a nice 1.6 with 28g at 2mm, and that was an extremely smooth Vape. I forgot the wraps and already swapped since then. The experimenting has been great, honestly.

Some builds, I do get some popping, and I’m not sure what that is from, but I don’t think it’s causing any problems.

I’m always using every build from 10-16w, as I really don’t enjoy it any higher.

I really have no desire to buy another tank with the Ares. Just wanted to toss some updates out since I’ve rebuilt so many times this week, and it’s SO EASY!

I hate to say this but the Siren V2 is the second or third worst tank I have owned. No matter how I wicked or what juice I put in it it tasted like a bucket of .... holes  Thanks Vic. I had the Siren V1 and felt that was much better then the V2. The 3 holes just wasn't a big improvement. The only problem I would have with the Ares is the branding. I can't stand tanks or mods that are billboards or have a reviewers name on them. If the Ares just said Ares and had no names signed on it I might give it a try.

I keep hearing the Ares is better...
I heard a lot of things as well that weren't true. It's kinda how vaping goes. I'm sure some may prefer the ares for whatever reason. I couldn't find a reason personally. Everyone is entitled to their opinion for sure though. I'm just one opinion in a sea of them. Take what you will from it

I've seen some of your reviews and I don't agree with most of them.

I only like and watch a few reviewers... I feel a lot are dishonest with their reviews.

That is my Opinion

no prob man. hope you find a reviewer that works for you. I know there is a lot of dishonesty and thats why i started doing it. you don't have to agree by any means but at least i'm honest. atomizers and flavor will always be a YMMV subjective thing for the most part. i mean some like steak, some like seafood. Not sure how you don't agree on mod reviews. those are rooted in fact and testing, their either perform or they don't. not much room for opinions on my mod reviews.

I feel the same... A reviewer - he should do his job for free, from passion and share his onest opinion... When money is involved, credibility is zero... I will not wach busardo and vic too anymore... Why could not they stay at what they were doing well?

I will immediately unfollow a reviewer that says one product is better than another based on opinion. Every reviewer worth an ounce of pewp, knows every opinion is subjective. Whether it's their opinion or someone elses. Dont convince me with words, show me or it's not worth listening to anymore.

I think that good reviewers with plenty of products reviewed are a must have working with good brands, they can help with improved ideas.

The money part is like everything and YouTube gives also a good return to the time spent and material needed to do good videos.

Think it's part of the ecig evolution and it will be easy to a reviewer to loose everything if there are deshonesty.

Hi guys,

Just created this account to give my heads up. I also have issues with the Ares. It looks like i got leakage from the top cap that does not sit flush. I e-mailed Innokin and really curious what will be the outcome. By the looks of it, shipping it back to China would cost me ~20USD so defo a no go for me.

In other words, I can see most of you debate on MTL preferred tank. I have 4 MTL tanks so far and also wondered which one I prefer more? I build a quick chart (see below) that helped me decide. The results are: Berserker 24mm > Siren 2 > Kayfun Prime > Ares.

I’m in California, and Innokin said they are having their California warehouse send me replacements, and to send them back to the California address when I receive them.

Received my Ares on Tuesday, and overall, I'm pleased with it. No leaking, gurgling, or dry hits. It's certainly nice looking and the build quality (on mine) seems to be very good.

I'm running a 5 wrap, 3.0mm coil of 26ga kanthal at 17.5 watts on my Aegis. Flavor is decent and I love the top fill feature.

My only small gripe is that the air flow is a little "wheezy" on smaller settings, but not so much that it's a deal breaker.

I'll probably order another.
