Thanks, put it on the calendar so I know when to ask again. I'm just kicking back chainvaping with my trusty clearos and if you get more today or tomorrow I'll pick up a few more. The clearos have never let me down... I think SI should consider keeping those on the menu. JMHO

Amen to that!

Got my Vapemail today and now have 16 Clearos 10 of which are still in the wrappers. I find myself caring less and less about the T-3s arrival. I don't know what the folks that have problems with the Clearos are doing wrong but I have only had one leak and I really believe that might have been my fault for letting the juice go down the center tube. I have 3 that I must have cleaned at least 6 times and got them my first week here and they still work like new. They are going to be a hard act to follow in my eyes. I'm sure sooner or later the ones I use the most will fail but if you have a good method of cleaning and don't wait until they are real dirty these things will last 3 or 4 months easy and that makes them worth way more than they cost. I have always believed if it ain't broke don't fix it and the Clearos ain't broke so please SI keep them around for those of us that swear by them. You keep them and I promise to continue to buy them.

I'm having the exact same experience here. Still using some from when they first came out with no degradation of performance. I love these derned things. The only times that I've had cracks have been when I've spazzed out and dropped 'em. I still love them as much as I always have, and don't like any other delivery system nearly as well.

All right you two! PLEASE SPILL THE BEANS: What is your "routine" for use and cleaning; WHAT / HOW do YOU clean them?
Do you use only one BRAND of ejuice? Is your ejuice CLEAR or ? I have become soooo disappointed w/ them I bought some other gear. That has it's down side too. My first love is the 650 mah w/ a clearo - neat and comfy. Yup - I be interested in a little cutie (350-400? w/ a WORKING Clearo)for outdoor things.
I was just getting to a place of having colored tips for coding flavors ... Feels like reinventing the wheel.

My stuff is kept cool in a cupboard in the basement. The best luck I've had is adding 1-2 drops of VG to make it 1.4ml in the Clearo.
I've tossed most of what I've bought - 3 due to cracks (fruit flavored juices) - the rest bcs they wouldn't work. Tried cleaning / dry burning but that's been minimally successful. So - again I ask Where's the instruction on best cleaning method. Frequency, etc.
One I decided to "clean" before it became a problem. soaked in vinegar a day / then a day in vodka - dried in a sunny window for a couple days - it was dead.

As of my last expenditure - I think I've just broke even between what I've spent on Ecigs vs analogs now.
If I don't know what I'm doing - how can I help another prospective customer?

I second Shardina's statement - right down to the SHORTY cone. You could do just one chrome (like the area around the button) - being short I wouldn't think a bunch of colors would be needed. Been thinking of sacrificing the one and only to science to see if I could "shorten" it w/o wreckin it ...

Well, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to cleaning them. If the flavor starts getting off, then I'll clean mine, but usually not until that point. I dump out the remaining nicquid, remove the silicone cap with the metal point, put a little water in the clearo, shake vigorously, and dump it. Then I get as much of the water out of the clearo as possible. I do a dry burn until I can get the coil to glow red for a few seconds. I reach "red glow" three or four times, and I'm done.

Almost all of my nicquids are fruits, but I've had very few problems with cracking. Some of my nicquids are SI, some are ECBlends, some are my own DIY. If possible, I stay with an 80/20 PG to VG ratio. Dunno what else to tell ya. They work great for me.

Thanks Rave - that is about what I do. The difference is - I have up to a 50/50 blend depending on the source of my ejuice.
I don't recall just where it was now (here or elsewhere) that I saw Clearo's were designed for 70/30 blends.

I do know that once 'source' commented that one of my liquids had "oil" based flavoring that was most likely the culprit of the cracking.

I have to say I like the vivi nova (mini) but it does mute the flavor some. I use one w/ an adaptor which I don't like.
The Clearo's w/ the 808 threading look so nice, great in hand ... I love that I can set it down on the counter to open 'the next bottle' when filling them. While I'm waiting on the T3's (?) to come in ... that short window of filling b/4 they start leaking sounds unappealing.

Now I'm wondering why (?) said they weren't too sold on the Nano's ...

I'm terrible w/ numbers - even holding onto a 7 digit phone number for more than 5 minutes ... Have to figure out how much pg to add to a 50/50 to adjust the ratio on a couple. I don't mind that when I have the flavoring on hand to boost that part if needed.

Thanks again ... :vapor:

Sitting down, facing forward.
I've been using 70/30 liquids in my clearos with no ill effects, just great vapor and flavor! To clean them I usually just rinse them out with water after taking out the inner silicon cap, then a quick dry burn (and I try to avoid getting the coils red so there is no chance of burning the wick) then let them sit on my network switch for a day to dry out completely, that's a nice warm spot. I did soak one in vodka for a day the last time I cleaned it, but I didn't notice any significant difference after refilling and using it. I'm still using the three I bought back in June and have refilled them at least 20 or 30 times by now. Great product all the way around!

OMGosh! Since JUNE????

That's ... errr ... wellllll .... AWSUM, awsum! Interestingly I was just reading at Mt Olympus that they should NOT be soaked in alcohol or left in sunlight (and the use only 70/30 liquid) ... Well, guilty on the alcohol and drying in the sunlight ... sheesh!

Huh, I've never heard that about leaving clearos in sunlight, but if makes sense if it's a BPA thing - sunlight can cause BPA to leach out of plastics, especially the hard polycarbonate that Stardust- and T2-style clearos seem to be made out of. Nobody's really promoting their clearos as BPA free, so I'd assume they aren't. I can see that becoming an issue in the vaping world sooner rather than later.

I have to admit that I've only soaked on in vodka and it was for less than a day. After what you've said I probably won't be doing that again, thanks for the tip! I've never dried them in the sunlight and I don't use liquids with citrus components and that may help explain why they've lasted this long. Heck, I'm still using CE3s from the first batch as well and they get a lot more use than my clearos do.

not at the moment if we do I will be sure to let you guys know
Is SI still going to eventually quit carrying the branded SI clearo? (I hope not:nun:) If so, will we get some notice? I want to get another full set, but would like to put it off a little while, for budgetary purposes.

So now I know who that dark mysterious figure vaping in the shadows is.
