Hi everyone! Was wondering if Imagine or anyone could help a n00b out. I got a new Volt last week, 78mm chrome auto with white LED. It was working great, but last night I put one of the diamond end caps on it that I received with my battery, and the diamond cap came apart. The little diamond had fallen out of the part that you snap into the battery top. That was no biggie as they are a buck, will probably just glue back to get together and I had ordered another diamond end cap.

So, I put my extra on it and the battery stopped working. I put it on the PCC and the LED light was flashing (not normal flashing, but flashing like a strobe light, like my PCC was hosting a rave and didn't invite me.) I tried it again after the charging LED light indicated that it was charged and it still wouldn't work. I decided to put the ash cap back on it and then, it worked! Tried it in the PCC, and the rave had ended, LED just stayed on like it normally does.

I have two other Volt batteries, both 78mm, black manual with purple LED and chrome auto with green LED that I've put the diamond caps on with no issues. Anyone else have an issue like this? It isn't a huge deal (as long as the battery continues to work, that is!) But I do love those diamond caps. :( Anyway, just wondering if this has happened before and if there's anything I could do to fix it myself. Also, if there are any combinations (size, switch, tube colors, LED colors) that have a history of not working with diamond end caps so I know not to get that combo in the future! Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!

Hi Taco. Never heard of an issue like that. I don't bling mine out, but lots of strange people here do that. :) I'd contact SI's customer support and get that batt replaced. As a matter-of-fact, I'd copy what you've written here and send it to SI. They will hook you up, and quickly too.

I had 3 week old X2 auto battery that stopped drawing. Tried charging it with the passthru, strange LED light blinking, but still wouldn't work. Imagine thought that perhaps the auto switch was broken. Contacted CS and they agreed to replace it after returning. Currently the X2's are out of stock, but luckily I have 4 78mm batteries available as backup till it arrives.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the suggestions. My battery did still work like it normally does once I put the ash cap on it. Anyway, I contacted SI and they suggested I (very gently) take the ash cap off and try to push the circuit board down a smidge with my pinkie. One of pinkie nail is super long so it was really simple to do. I put the diamond cap on it and it works! Tried vaping and charging it on the PPC and both work! :) So happy it was such an easy fix.

What's the ETA on the X2s? I finally got up the nerve to try the clearomizers (I am easily intimidated by all things tank-like) and I love them so much I went over to order the five colors I don't already have. Trying to get my order over $55 so I can get free shipping (yeah, I'm cheap) so tried to order another X2 and the autos are completely out. waaah...whine
