Sitting down, facing forward.
I got a quick question that's probably been answered a brazillion times but I did do a search and came up with a LOAD of results, but I couldn't find a clear answer.

Can you use thicker (I'm talking 100% VG) e-juice with the Volt X2 and the X2 clearomizers? What about the (still-out-of-stock) CE3 bottom-coil clearomizers? Also, what's the difference (as far as vapor production and flavor, mostly) between these two clearomizers? I'm totally sold on these things now. The flavor is so much better and I'm loving the Volt X2.

Thicker liquids are always problematic but can be used in clearos with enough "recovery time" between drags to let the wicks do their job. In the CE3 it's probably a better idea to VERY CAREFULLY thin the liquid with a little distilled/purified water, vodka or grain alcohol, as in a drop at a time, to make sure the wicks can work and keep that atomizer nice and wet.

are u just cleaning the quick way (just flush back n forth with syringe, dont pull anything but end cap) ... and how long are letting it dry Awesome ... i like em alot too.

I usually just use the syringe-pump method, but I have taken out the inner seal and air tube to direct a "high pressure" stream from the syringe directly onto the atomizer to try to clean it more thoroughly. I did take the outer barrel off of one and reassembled, but that was the scratched one and it did leak, from both ends. I normally don't bother to let them dry, just clean, refill and use. I do keep an spare X2-650 on my desk that I use to get them going after they've been cleaned and refilled. It can take as many as 20 hard drags to get them to produce vapor doing it this way, depending on just how much water is actually left in the atomizer chamber.

I am using some of my 60% vg juices with my cartos, ce3's and x2 clearomizer. i like some vg in it seems thicker and less harsh. For me it just takes longer to fill a syringe but i found pulling the dripper off the juice bottle, and filling directly speed up filling my ce3's.

One last noob question for the day .... Are there TWO o-rings on the clearomizer Mouth pieces. One would be a thicker donut shape and the other slighty larger diamater but shaped like a thin disk ???

I found an extra disk shaped O ring in my clearomizer, it looked like it was partially out of the clearomizer itself, so i pulled it out... before this i never screwed on the mouth piece coz the seal was tight, now its loose unless i screw it, then the seal is fine ...... cant figure out if it was on the mouth piece or somewhere at the inside the top of the clearomizer. It doesnt matter that much, i would just like to put it properly if its not hard, especially if it just goes on the mouth piece tip.

Thank you everyone for the help :) :) :) :)

Your questions can be answered in this video by MrOutlaw on youtube: Smokeless Image Cartomizers, Why are they better - YouTube

He talks about the different cartomizers.

Yes, you can use the 100% VG, but the clearos and cartos will clog sooner/require more cleaning.

no not pouring directly in the CE3, sorry if i was unclear.

i am skipping the intermedate step of filling a condom or juice top with 2mls to then suck it up with a syringe. lots of my bottles are 15mls so even with a full top filled, i got to keep refilling the top to get my syringe over 1.5mls.

i think outlaw showed this with a bigger needle as his third method of filling a syringe but i am using the standard syringe needle with the ce3 kit and but tilting the bottle. Basically After i take the juice top off, i then pull off the dropper nipple off. now the whole top is open so i can quickly fill the syringe if i just tilt the bottle a little.

once the syringe full i fill the ce3 the normal way. Hope this helps :)

don't do like i did and get the needle stuck in the top of the bottle opening,,i could not get it back out so i had to force it in to the bottle, now i have a needle like a ship in a bottle which will be in there forever.

i hate smokeless image narrow bottle openings, they are not meant for syringes.

i plan to buy longer needles or buy a bunch of wide mouth bottles for mixing and for transfer of juice.

i don't like putting juice in the caps because of their pi&& poor design, they will flip over on you and waste their high dollar juice.

Uhhhhg u must be down to ur last needle now ..... getting a longer & bigger needles would make it really easy, just switch back to the ce3 needle after filling the syringe, then fill the ce3. Me, i just hadnt bothered to get any new needles ...i am no expert but i am sure all the bottles the same where ever u get em.

Outlaw shows how to do it & i think his last way is with a bigger needle & removing the dropper in his video.

Good luck Larry

Chooky - don't you have leaking from the top w/o that "o" ring? There is a sort of flatish one inside the clearomizer and the one on the tip ... I can't imagine not having a leak it the one IN the clearo came out. If it's a spare - hang onto it! I accidentally lost one in the beginning ... Never found it.

I had one that was really hard to get out. The first time I went to RE-fill it - I got it out - it was sort of oval shaped and no way it was going back in that round hole! Seems to me that one always seemed extra warm ...

you can go to the diy vendors and buy the wide mouth bottles i am talking about and they are cheap.

Larry

ya know my bluemist bottles are wide mouth and the needle works good with them.

oh,i forgot,i have 3 boxes of ce3s and you get 2 needles per box,so that leaves me with 5 needles.

i had ce3(s) catastrophically leak, and was wondering if this happened to anyone else .... it leaked all 1.4 mils after just filling)

... it was just after cleaning (as per videos, drying then filling. Also both times a big thunderstorm started and i vape downstairs with windows open .... . I am not sure if it was the same ce3 or diff ones, but it happened twice when it rained. I am filling em the same as i did before which worked .....(upside down, use vacume to remove any up top and to the line). i may isolate this to one of 3 CE3's later. For now i am back to my carto's & my clearomizer.

Could a big temperature or pressure fluctuation cause this by effecting the vacume????

Maybe you could try simulating in the same manner as this was happening...
Stand in shower with door open *open window & rain* ......
clap hands (or thighs or whatever)*thunderstorm* ......
Did it leak?? :p
