Imagine can you tell me if the SI juices are diacetyl free?

I've just read a news report where a man won $7.2m in damages from a popcorn company because their popcorn contained diacetyl. Apparently if you eat it it is fine but if you inhale it it can damage the lungs and give one 'popcorn lung'. It is used in some food and some e.juices to give it a buttery taste.

WTF? was he smoking the popcorn? Watch and see how fast the appellate courts overturn that decision.

yes they are shipping the 22nd so should be Monday or Tuesday

Thanks, put it on the calendar so I know when to ask again. I'm just kicking back chainvaping with my trusty clearos and if you get more today or tomorrow I'll pick up a few more. The clearos have never let me down... I think SI should consider keeping those on the menu. JMHO

No he just inhaled it and that's what made me think of e.cigs:
BBC News - 'Popcorn lung': Wayne Watson wins $7.2m in US court

After I read it I did some research and it appears it has been up before in the e.cig community. Google brought up a lot of hits and there's a few from here, even a diacetyl free e.juice thread:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/129098-starting-list-diacetyl-free-ejuice-suppliers-please-keep-just-listing-supplier-names.html

I'd never heard of it before I read that report from the Beeb.

Yeah, it's a real thing, diacetyl's bad stuff. It's not the only flavoring agent that's used in massive quantities in industrial food processing, but it's the only really bad red flag one that was relatively common in e-juice. It makes me feel a bit better about the unknown effects of inhaling some of the flavorings out there, because chances are good they'd have been flagged in industrial settings years ago if they had negative effects when inhaled. Obviously that's nothing like actual, useful evidence, but until there's more testing done on how these flavorings affect the body when inhaled rather than eaten, it's at least some comfort.

Just so we don't lose track of this very important question.......

A nice thread on ECf about it. Mainly it has to do with buttery and creamy flavorings. I don't use SI liquids (too high pg for me) but a good read. The second thread a little ways down goes a bit more in depth and what Fernand has to say.

From doing DIY, most of the sites tell you if the flavoring you are buying has diacetyl in it. Then you can make a conscience decision whether to vape it or not.

None of Capella's flavorings contain diacetyl - including butter! :)

still on for October... most likely the end of the month... as yes many flavors along those lines...maybe not that exact flavor ... the menthols are fantastic though :p
Awhile back you mentioned there would be some new eliquid flavors soon. How's that coming along?

I am currently addicted to Malibu, which I think is a pina colada with menthol flavor. Any chance of something along those lines?

Imagine, I have a manual 900 that seems to be on the fritz, it just blinks 5 times or more. I have cleaned it pretty well and I am going to take another shot at cleaning it tonight but does that many blinks mean a short?

Is there anything I can do other than clean it?

EDIT: I havent cleaned it in over a week or so.

There are a couple of menthol/fruit flavors in the Altsmoke private label line. Georgia Ice Storm, & Apple Frost are 2 that I liked.
