I have Vapor4Life. When I plug my automatic battery into the charger the light stays solid blue. From reading on these forums that means its charged....the first puff works fine after, but then nothing. Maybe its dead?

It has worked for days in the past...I just let it sit for an hour and it worked again, the delay cant be an hour, right?!

Storing the battery at Brahmabull sir for long periods is certain death for a battery. It will shortens it's life expectancy considerably. You want to store them at around 40% charge.

If it works when you blow into the wrong end, could be a switch issues. Hopefully you've loosened it up, smacking it on the side of a table right below the logo can also help, but if you used the condom method or had any leaking issues, that can easily clog the switch....

With less than maximum research I purchased a Joye 510 manual which works very well (I believe, with no other experience to compare it to) but now realize that it may not be the best choice for an over the road truck driver. Dripping and driving don't mix. The more I research the more I am overwhelmed. Is there someone that can offer practical advice based on experience

For an over the road trucker I would be using either a "tank" like a JonBoyUSMC Tank on a nice Mod like a Provari,Buzz, or even a Darwin. If it wasnt a tank then a nice bottom feeder would work good for you as well like a Reo, vv Ali'l or such. If you didnt want to go any of those routes and just wanted the small type e-cig the newer VV Ego Batts and a Boge Carto would be a nice choice for a small ecig, me I'm using a mod with tank or bottom feeder if I'm driving, especially for a living.!

I recommend you get a passthru if you are driving. It plugs in to your cig lighter and you won't have to mess with any batteries and chargers. Just replace cartridges and voila! Just make sure the cord stays away from the steering wheel and knob (if you have one)!

Look into usb passthrough, cigarette adapter, cartomizer. Vapor4Life has these and Bloog. Bloog's is multifunctional and works unplugged too.

OK, granted I've only got 3 expended carto's , and I worry about knowing when its time to switch. Switch too soon and I'm wasting good stuff. Switch too late and my carto cannot be re-used. Is there a way to know for sure whether it is burnt? I pulled the stuffing out of one, and did not try to reassemble, but it seems impossible. Is there a trick to putting one back together?

Never gotten one back together successfully Plarkinjr (guessing sir?). Unless you have no taste buds you'll know when you've burned the carto. It's a taste few forget. If you're not cleaning them, you can usually get 3-12 refills depending on the juice before the coil gets clogged to a point you lose vapor production. Hope this helps.

Hi Holly, the very best way to fill a carto is by using a (14-18 gauge) flat or beveled syringe. This method allows you to (1) measure the exact amount of liquid to use (about 1.1 ml), so you know you're getting the carto completely filled, and (2) avoid spillage.

Others simply drip and taryn-spin until the carto is "soaked", or a wee bit of juice oozes out of the bottom.

There is a Mastermind on this subforum named Snowdragon who has a whole series fantastic videos re: carto filling, battery, charger and carto cleaning, and anything else a vaper could want to know. If I weren't such a techno-dingaling, I'd link them here for you; hopefull Snow will chime in soon and post them for you himself! :)

EDIT: I think I found the link (it's to his YouTube site of kr808 videos . . .):

Goog luck! (It begins with a trip over the Golden Gate Bridge . . .but the "How To" stuff starts at 2:49 into the video! :))
