At the doc's with Shell

I'm at a doc's appt with Shell and the nurse giving her the "once over" asked if she smokes. Shell proudly tells her that she quit smoking on Dec 6th. The nurse then tells us she wishes she can quit smoking too.

Anyway, I showed her my pink eGo and gave her a few business cards for FSUSA and she seemed genuinly interested. Now we're showing her doc and he's thrilled!

Just thought I'd let y'all know!

My cardiologist is highly intelligent and he was intrigued when I discussed it with him. he is researching the whole industry for his own knowledge right now but my father who has been a docotr my entire life gives my cards out to patients all the time. He truly believes in what we are doing

That is so cool, I went to the Doctor a couple of weeks ago and she took all the info for a couple of her patients who are trying to quit. Her nurse also was interested because her husband smokes.
It's nice to have a doctor that is open minded!

My doctor bought me a bottle of wine the day I told him I quit smoking and was using the e-cig and then promptly told me I could only have one glass a day. He's so funny.

Lol. You guys crack me up. I gave him a stack of the cards. I have never seen a doc with a bigger smile on his face.

Oh and guys its no wonder I can't taste my juices. I have a bad sinus infection. I would have replied earlier to this post, but was stoned off my nasal spray. Lol gotta love steroids, and ubber antibiotics. Oh well im giving things from the last order time to steep, but my rocking chair is about gone.

The 3 docs we've talked to about vaping were totally supportive and exicted about it. They were all thrilled and said they would talk to their patients that smoke about pv's.

If I wasn't in a catatonic state bc of the anti-seizure meds I'm on, I'd be doing the happy dance right now.

Oh and also if we keep handing out cards I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the year david has to move again to a bigger place. *ducks*

My docs have all been very supportive of vaping. My sleep doc was especially curious and I gave him cards for ECF and FSUSA. My niece works in a docs office and has several elderly patients interested in vaping. I sent her a stack of FSUSA cards and told her that they could call and talk to David or Pam on help getting started. The info about vaping and supplies is so limited and many elderly people do not have access to the net. I knew that they would be in good hands with FSUSA.

Also, I took my mom to her new internist last week. Sadly she is back to full time smoking and has given up vaping. The internist told her that she has to try everything. The list that he gave her included electronic cigarettes! So the word is spreading for sure.

Oh, and BTW- I also have the crud floating around effecting my head and chest as well as my taste buds. I am doing everything that I am able to clear it up before I get my Strawberry Licorice on Thursday!

He said I was stocked and fluid behind my eardrums. All I have to say is its the second day of meds and stuff is starting to put it nicely "move around." Bleh

Aw you got the crud too? I think its just the fact that its that time of year, hot cold, hot cold, moist then dry. It just doesn't help. I drink 5 bottles of water a day. That told me right there that I needed something a bit stronger to kick this. I just can't wait to taste my juices again. Lol right now I am vaping ry5 with some banana in it. I can barely taste the banana. Drink your water guys and if that doesn't get things to moving time to see the doc.

I'm sorry that you've had this for three months! I think weather changes definitely have an effect. You mentioned that you drink a lot of water. When I had my last sinus infection, I drank over a gallon a day (maybe two). It helped so much. Also, I found that brushing my teeth a lot (every couple of hours) with minty toothpaste helped me to taste my favorite juices.

Hey good to see you there, LD! I had this creeping crud at Thanksgiving and now it is back with a vengeance! I am sick of being sick!

I thought that the Purecig was going to do it for my mom. She even commented that if she didn't pay attention she would think that she was smoking a cig. I fill her cartos for her. Charge her Buzz batteries (she is afraid to handle them) and change her batteries to boot. So it is not like it is really any trouble for her except changing cartos when empty. It is more of a mental habit for her after 60 years I think. With emphysema and COPD you would think that she would give them up. We all know how hard it can be though. She still has all of her equipment including filled cartos with Purecig so I am not losing all hope yet!

Edit to add: We all started out with the auto KR808s and she did give it one heck of a try. That was such a nightmare with constantly charging batteries, etc. I wish that we would have started with the Riva or Buzz as it may have turned out different for her. By the time we got our Buzz and Purecig she had already decided it just was not going to work for her.
