STEEP: FOOB, made 12/10/2014
device Type: mod. Zen ZNA Lite Voltages and Wattages as noted below.
Build Information / Wicking Material: Erlprinz RTA with 28ga Kanthal, Organic Cotton (new atty, new build), 1.5 ohm
Being a die hard and never being the one to say "well I just don't like that juice" one has to be willing to ALWAYS question all variables...
The reason I say this is that when I first tried Gravity it was in a clean Kanger Aero Mega with a new BDC, which IMHO gives a very clean taste, as do the Atlantis clero'. I fell in love! Well I filled my Squape R up with it, and I did not say anything to my son, who now has fell in love with Gravity, but I noticed it did not have the same delicate and pronounced flavor it did as with the Kanger.(The Squape R is also built with RXW).
Well I could not make that comparison with Atlanta as I had only put it a new, newly built RTA with RXW.
I decided to break the build down and replace the RXW with Organic Cotton, as I know that ceramic based wicking can affect delicate flavors.
There is a VAST difference!
The vape @ 9.8 watts 3.8 volts is very nice indeed, very smooth. The peach is very delicate and blends wonderfully with the NET, and it is not hidden at all!
Now that the wicking material is of a more neutral nature there is no harshness that comes and goes, and no burning taste and I now have the volume turned up to 12 watts 4.8 volts which is producing a wonderful full bodied vape with a even more pronounced, yet delicate peach tone with a hint of almost a extremely subtle coffee tone (the NET)...Very, VERY subtle and compliments the peach perfectly!
The Peach is so delicate! Not overpowering!
The blend also has a subtle sweetness to it, very, very delicate.
One thing I am very familiar with and many not be is that NET' have the tendency to leave a residue that otherwise does not occur when silica type wicking is used, and or the cotton is not a VERY tight fit between the coil SEE PHOTOS
This is VERY common with NET', and does not take high voltages or dry burns, this occurs when the coil heats up and there is air space between the coil and the wick; NET' seem to leave a gunky deposit that actually taints the vape horribly!
The coil was wound @ 3/16" with a 3mm wick, which is not as tight as if the coil is wound around the wick, as opposed to winding the coil and then threading the wick through the coil. Although snug, this is not an interference fit between the wick and coil, and ANY air gap will result in any NET blends in leaving these gunky deposits on the wick causing really weird variations in the vape, such as a burnt taste coming and going as described in the previous posts.
So now how do I fell about Atlanta; well as I mentioned the vape is now what I feel Clark had intended it to taste like, and that steeping will only improve the vape ten fold!
Seeing as this is 6% and I usually vape at 18% I can take monster hits, and the flavor is outstanding!
The amount of peach is perfect!
I could indeed now see this as a ADV!
BTW: I want to point out that what is seen in the photos is not the wick burning, as you cannot burn RXW, it is the gunk left from the NET cooking!

I am going to change the build to a dual parallel with wider coils....should be a real "mosquito fogger"!
I would think a wider coil would benefit from using the positive on the far side. In the pic, you have the coil using the positive closest to the same negative post. What about using the positive further to the right?
Can't wait to be able to do a review, just checked my order tacking and my parcel of joy has arrived in the uk and has departed Heathrow, on the plus side all that travel time will have given it plenty of chance to steep!
I'm on my second Reo refill of Atlanta today.
way more naturally sweet peach tasting now. I'm not usually a fruity vape person.. probably love it so much cuz of the NET!
Jus' curious does it take a long time for stuff to get to the UK from the US ?
That will most likely be due to the holidays - all my NT orders have taken 5 to 8 daysCouple weeks so far, will let you know when it arrives at my door

Mod: SX Mini
Build: Single 26 awg 2.4 mm, 8 wraps / .9 ohms, KGD wick
Thoughts: Getting an overly sweet peach with greenish notes that seem to be the NET poking through. Syrupy sweet juice from a can of peaches is a pretty good description. Before reading that I kept thinking overly ripe peach. Newports' wattage range seemed to mirror my own experience. I'm running this juice far lower than I normally would an NT. The same build with Radio, Strawnilla, and most others is just about right at 23-25 W, but anything over about 18 W is scorching for me. That said there may be a wicking issue with this particular build so I'll give it another shot in a few days. However, scorching aside the taste is not hitting for me yet. It will be interesting to see where it goes, but if it's like switch no amount of steep is going to make it hit for me. Going to keep an open mind and see where it goes.
Hopefully I'll find KGD cotton soon.
Update on Atlanta...

Using the same setup as before I loaded up another tank with Atlanta. Only change is that I'm using a smaller XS tank with the GT II now. At 13-15 W (3.5 - 3.7 V) I get delicate peach flavors. Maybe similar to the candy peach flavors some others mentioned. It's a very nice sweet peach at lower power. At 21-24 W (4.4 - 4.7 V) I get the ripe peach flavor I was finding two weeks ago, but now it's mixed with a creaminess I wasn't getting before.
I think I am tasting the NET coming through at the higher wattages, but I'm a NET newbie so can't say for sure. I still get hints of the unpleasant (for me) switch-like taste throughout the wattage range, but it seems to come and go. When I am getting more peach and cream flavor this juice strikes me as wonderful, but it's not been consistent for me. One thing for sure is that a couple weeks of steep has helped this guy along a lot for my tastes.
EDIT: Meant to add that 17W (~4V) was a nice sweet spot for me. Seems to give a nice balance of peach and the NET.
EDIT-2: I've gone through over 4ml in about 3 hours today, so something is working here.
EDIT-3: After running that 4ml through I'm now getting more burnt/dry-hit taste if I bump it up to 24W (4.72V at current measure). I have loosened up the liquid control on the GT II just to make sure this isn't a wicking problem - I don't think it is. I am guessing there is now some residue built up on the coil and it's burning at higher power. This definitely wasn't happening when the wick was fresh.
EDIT-4: Now at 17W / ~4V I am getting a slight burnt taste. This sucks. The build is solid - this is my goto build and the wicking seems fine. I'm interested to see what this coil looks like when I open up the chamber. I am still thinking this is a gunk build-up problem. Perhaps I'm just over analyzing it, but the flavor seems to move all over the place, then head south rather quickly. This tank has become less than enjoyable due to this burnt taste coming through.
EDIT-5: I stopped just short of finishing the third tank and re-wicked. It was really funked up - will post before and after pics shortly. Three full tanks would have been 7.5 ml on the GT II XS tank. I didn't quite fill to 2.5 on the first tank, and didn't finish the third, so I would guestimate that this build saw about 6.5 ml altogether. After re-wicking on the same coil the burnt taste is gone and we're back to sweet peach and cream at 17W / ~4V.
Doing my part! Thanks to Kent and the crew for making the best vape juices I've had! I saw Atlanta on the site and thought, peaches and tobacco? That's crazy! But, I'll have to try it. I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I had faith.
Steep: FOOB, but now just about 2 weeks.
Atty: R91 Black, with a dismal fixed center pin.
Mod: Provari V2.5
Build: 1.9 Ohm, with organic cotton, right at 8w. Hopefully I'll find KGD cotton soon.
Stuff: 6mg Atlanta from a dripper bottle.
I'm not big into steeping, but Atlanta definitely needed it. When it was freshly opened, the peachy smell was almost nauseatingly strong. After cleansing and rewicking my R91 Black that I usually keep Wakonda in, I filled it up with Atlanta. I took a few puffs straight off the chimney before filling the tank and I got a dripping peach juice inhale with a slight tobacco exhale. It was waaaay too strong for my tastes, totally overpowering peachyness. Unique, however. There ain't nothing like Atlanta!
Now then, after living with Atlanta for a few weeks and just now filling up a second tank, I will say it's much, much, better! Oh, the power of steeping, I understand now. I think today was the day it balanced out into a peach/dried apricot/cream with a slightly more pronounced dry tobacco. I don't mind the NET, Nicoticket are the first tobacco vapes I can actually taste. I haven't had a peach vape before, so it's easy to say Atlanta is easily the best peach vape I've ever had. I'm also not sure of all the flavors I'm getting out of my setup, but it's definitely not two dimensional.
The funny thing that would happen is a couple hours after vaping on it for 15-20 minutes, I'd crave The Peach again. Hm. Happy Holiday Peaches, everyone!
