Spreadsheet results conclude that the time elapsed in sleepmode has no bearing on the 2 click issue.
Tested on 1 ohm coil at 30w - PANASONIC NCR18650PF
Tested at 10, 20, 30, 40 sec after entring sleepmode.
Allso tested with how many times i vape after exiting sleepmode.
Moore often i would get 2 clicks if i vaped 3 times after exiting sleepmode, while mostly getting 1 click after vaping 2 times exiting sleep mode.

Try one long vape and let it sleep. I'm not sure but I am thinking it has to do wit the amount of time the button was pressed last ....not sure. Ive been trying it but seem to be getting close.

Hey if I remember correctly you no longer have the red cover on the back of yours. Would you mind firing it from the on board button you asked about before and see if you can replicate the two click from sleep with the on board button? Or anyone else who already removed the cover and willing to test it?

You got it. Im hangin w/ gf now. But when I get the chance, ill try it. I suspect you are trying to eliminate the button as the culpit?

Let me run this thought by you guys...

The original clone version would display Hana Modz on the display when coming out of sleep. That was changed so the Hana Modz was no longer displayed. Is it possible that the routine is still looking for that code (to display Hana Modz) and when it can't find it it times out thus pressing the button again lets it fire since it no longer is asleep?

Just a thought... I know nothing about code...

In my humble opinion I TOTALLY AGREE WITH retire...... it is totally obvious that when they recoded these chips that left a void in the program and that is what is looking for when coming out of sleep........ if you hold it down without letting go... It will fire....

This is getting closer to my theory. The chip memory allocation is prob keeping track of data like that, and could be setting flags based on button press time... sort of like sysuptime()

That would make it appear random. Even though it is actually based on something.

Yes, exactly. Although, someone did have a point that it fired everytime when display was lit, never hurts to be certain... Whenever you have time dude!

I disagree.

After taking a 12sec puff on 1ohm coil at 30w, it fired on the 3rd click. Ist click held the button for 20 seconds, 2nd click held it for 30 seconds.

Mine won't stop firing on the first click, so I can test this. Go figure...

I just wanted to add something I've noticed. sometime when I press the button and hold it (as i do when I'm taking a draw), then I realize Its not firing, I glance down at the screen and sure enough its not on and then upon release of the button the screen come one....

so not actually pressing the button, then let go of the button, then press it again it fires,... it more like press the button nothing happens then upon release the screen lights up....

I don't know if that make since or not?

I can live with some inaccurate Ohms and voltages, as I don't subohm and I don't need more than 10W anyway. But two-click firing is a dealbreaker for me. I am somewhat confused by the posts on the clicks and I hope someone can clarify. If I understand correctly, the clones will fire with one click as long as the display is lit (2 min?). But when the display goes dark, it needs a click to activate the screen and a second click to actually fire? That's crazy and that kills it for me.

But then I hear people say they don't see that behavior at all or that it takes a real long time for the double-click phenomenon to manifest itself. How long is that? Is this stuff reproducible and if so, can the mod be used so a double-click is not required?

Finally, is this double-click behavior also present in Evolv DNAs? What about the HCigar mods? If so, those are also out in my book. I'm just confused as to what to expect if and when I get one of these.

To the bold: Seriously? I think this is being completely blown out of proportion. Is clicking the button one extra time that much of a inconvenience? When you reach to pick up your mod, click the button, by the time you have it to you mouth to take a vape, hit the button again and vape away. Now that I'm paying attention to try to narrow down when I have to double click, mine keep firing first click just like curly, go figure. Guess you could always pay an extra $180 for an authentic so you don't have to click a button more time.

But is it just one extra click? I could have swore I have seen posts that more than 2 clicks are needed sometimes

I agree. really don't think the double click troubleshooters are complaining though. Its just the geek in me that wants to discover the problem, nothing less. I don't care about it. I just want to find what causes it.
