Toronto, Canada,
1. Milling process of the enclosure allows “swirls” in the drip well and fire switch areas.
Not apparent on mine.

2. Removable back plate of the enclosure may not fit smoothly in all devices.
Mine fits perfectly

3. Screws used the back plate are of poor quality.
Yes, however knowing how to unscrew tightly fitted screws is beneficial.

4. Threaded hole to receive the back plate screws are stripped on some devices.
Not on mine.

5. 510 connector center pin is not properly sized in width thus allowing possible short circuits to occur with certain toppers.
It is large however pulling the pos. pin in attys is a workaround, and has apparently been fixed.

6. 510 connector not installed flush with the enclosure thus allowing slightly tilting of toppers on some devices.
Not apparent on mine. It is also an issue with real Hanas.

7. Battery holder can become dislodged from enclosure due to the use of less effective attachment securing media.
Not apparent.

8. USB port can be dislodged from enclosure due to use of less effective attachment securing media.
I suppose that's possible if users are rough with it.

9. Fire/up/down buttons can become dislodged in some devices due to the use of less effective attachment media.
Hasn't happpened yet. :)

10. On some devices the attachment media used to secure the clone dna board in the enclosure is applied over board components that radiate heat during operation. This can allow heat buildup.
Possibly.

11. USB charging board led’s are not properly fitted and/or the enclosure does not allow easily visual indication of charge state.
Absolutely a pain to see, but again not a deal breaker for me.

12. When pressing the fire button to allow the unit to operate from sleep mode two or more presses are required.
Sometimes.

13. When coming out of sleep mode it is noted that the wattage setting has changed on some devices requiring resetting the wattage each time the device comes out of sleep mode.
Sometimes

14. When the device is in locked mode and it comes out of sleep mode with the power lock function activated the power lock mode is no longer activated in some devices.
Has not happened on mine yet.

15. When the device is in sleep mode and left unattended it will come out of sleep mode without any button push by the user on some devices.
Has never happened on mine.

16. The on board temperature sensing circuit activates at a higher rate of occurrence compared to the real dna.
No idea I have nothing to compare.

17. The ohm reading on the display does not accurately relay the true ohm reading of the coil it is measuring. The variance may be small or larger depending on the clone device as there is no consistent variation.
Yes.

18. The voltage reading while firing displayed is different that the voltage actually reaching the coil.
Yes, haven't measured it yet.

19. The warranty contained in the instruction sheet indicated a manufacturer warranty of 90 days. This has not been confirmed however vendors warranty periods are all over the map from DOA to 7 weeks to ?????
The sheet you refer to is a copy of the Hana Instructions, that refers to Hana devices I would assume.

20. Logo devices and those that display Hana Modzs on the display seem to violate USA trademark laws. Some vendors have gone underground and China is still sending them and vendors are still selling them.
Obviously, but hey that's what they do clone as close as possible. Vendors should know this and inform the manufacturer.

21. The Clone is reported by many to put out less power that the real dna at the same wattage setting. A scope analysis will eventually compare them to either confirm or deny this claim. My experience confirms this assumption.
Sounds reasonable.

22. When charging in locked mode the clone may no longer unlock thus the device will no longer operate in any way. Removing and replacing the battery has no effect.
This has never occurred with mine.

23. Enclosure body scratches very easily. Many vapers are adding wraps to protect the enclosure.
To me this is a non issue.

24. When coming out of sleep mode the device will fire but the display is not showing anything as if the display is dead.
Not a biggie for me.

25. Device can fire without any human intervention.
Has never happened on mine.

Anybody else feel that Elev8 was throwing in lolipops as a way to call us all "suckers" ? :p

edit: not that this had not crossed my mind before but I have pretty much made peace with the idea of eventually completely stripping my box and rebuilding with a genuine chip and better components.

Not gonna start gathering parts just yet for a few reasons. Chiefly, I am broke. Hell the only reason I even have a clone is it was a birthday gift.
Also I do want to ride this one out as long as possible just to see how long it will go. Also hopeful that if and when I am ready to go that Evolv will have a next gen chip by then.

If and when I also plan to strip the ano and do a custom paint job.

LOL...... suckers....I doubt it really..... many vendors, for years, have placed tootsie rolls, candy kisses, and etc. in each order sent to their customers.... nice touch I think....Best perk I've gotten over the years was from NLV.... you never knew what little "extra" he would send, sometimes a free bottle (or 2) of juice and sometimes a free extraction syringe for his 130ml. bottle of juice, or sometimes a couple bottles of a new flavored juice for you to sample....fewer perks from him lately as his business model has changed but his juice/customer service has not....right now he has 2 new flavors at 30% off of 30ml bottles of them (with coupon code NEW30) and free shipping for orders of 14 bucks or more...

Sounds great. I should have mine some time next week. Mini Screwdriver?, things are looking up. I was hoping they would have a better finish than the WV one. :)

My black Cana from Wetvapes arrived today! After a quick inspection I put a black carbon fiber J-wrap on it (which also arrived today!). I messed up the wrap a little in a couple spots, but it should keep fairly scratch-free. A few things I noticed in these first few hours of ownership:

-Finish was very nice overall, but a few tiny marks right out of the box. I used to work in an anodizing shop (nearly 20 years ago) and this finish will scratch very easily - hence the immediate J-wrap. For anyone still wondering, the black Canas are definitely not painted.

-The 510 looks like the old (bad) one, with the bigger positive contact. I've been careful with it, but also had one atty show a short when screwed down just-a-little too tight. The good news is that it's straight.

-Waking from sleep, this one fires right away on the first press of the fire button.

-I now have a new appreciation for VW. This thing blows my SVD out of the water, even at 10-12 watts.:vapor:

My hope is that those that recommend this Clone to others are kind enough to tell them of the reported issues/quirks/ etc. Many posters throughout this thread have posted such issues/quirks/ etc. and I, for one, appreciate their concerns.... :):)

Here is a semi-complete list of them:

The finish is quite a bit better than mine from WV. The one from wv does have a red led. This one has no led that I can tell.

well after 4 days of use i have finally hit my first snag, i was vaping on it as a pass through then out of nowhere i noticed my display went out. i quickly switched batteries and realized it still fired but the display is now dead, now i dont know much about wiring or how to fix this problem. so if anyone has any ideas how to do it then i am all ears because this is B/S... 2 1/2 months of waiting for this? hell there's so much glue that i cant even take off the screen to look at the guts without breaking it... some one please help, and mind you i have no tools to solder

oh perfect... i just took off the back screen and now its not even firing...

When I posted here that I was worried about precisely this possibility of spontaneous firing, I got the reply that such a thing would never happen...

I'm 99% certain it's not fault of the code. I'm willing to bet it has a great possibility of being fault of the 510

Not sure what you mean about Tobecco adding a heatsink because all the dna20/30's have the same "heatsink" thing on the back of them, even the cloupor clones. And imo it is still a clone of the chip, the cloupor clones do not have the exact same brand controllers and chips on the board. They are made to do the same thing and similar builds just slightly different circuitry because I am sure they tried to make it as cheaply as possible.

Not all 30w chips are created equal. For example, the eVic supreme can only do 30w if it's in the 6v range...

You might just contact your vendor for a replacement... possibility the chipset has failed...sorry for your issue especially after your illvapes experience....

Reading about this autofire business is getting rediculous. If anyone can contact thay guy that it happened to and get a video (he did say yhat it was happening after putting new batteries in) that would be great, and I will believe it happened. Until then, it sounds too fishy to me.
