I'm a 100% 'more flies with honey than vinegar' type guy, but this is ridiculously unethical.
Not even gonna start on the fact they are selling a ~$70-80 unit for $160.

I haven't received my Boba's Bounty that I ordered a couple of days ago from Alien Vapor as yet but after backtracking the quote in your post I feel quite mislead (by Alien Vapor). Just now ordered a bottle from Alien Visions. The recently acquired patent by Alien Vapor for sure is were I got duped but fully understand the situation after some research.

I received mine last night. It seems to be really well made, and doesn't have any of the issues reported by others.
The backplate seam does not go through the tank well.
The resistance readings appear to read exactly 0.1 ohm high, on various coils, consistently.
Stealth/Normal mode seems to work as intended.
The green 'charged' LED is positioned well and visible from across the room, even.
The atomizer sits nice and flush, and the center pin even looks to be adjustable (though I haven't need to adjust it for any of my tanks yet).
Only thing I don't like is the stupid logo. Planning to round some corners, possibly hog it out for an 18650 battery, and cerakote it in tan or gray, so the logo will eventually go away.
The security stickers on the chip cover do say "Hotcig".
I've only used it a couple hours, but I am more than happy. In fact, I put in an order for a second one this morning.

I love the mod but hate the fire button. I want to replace it with a bigger one. Going to try on my FT20 first to see how it works out.
The Vapor Shark DNA30 is smaller than the Hanna Modz mini - both have 1200mah LiPo batteries. Now there is also the rDNA with a replaceable 18650 battery.
A photo for size comparisons, that is Herb's Clouper Clone on the left, rDNA center, VS DNA30 with Shark Skin on the right. But both of the Vapor Sharks are considerably more expensive than the clones.
Hi Clint , i just noticed you mentioned a sharkskin wrap (even though i love and appreciate the Clouper and J wraps wrap you sent me , and the NIB Nautilus , incredible , still in shock actually ).
I couldn't help but notice how thick that sharkskin cover looks on the Vaporshark Dna , that looks like heavy duty protection lol.

If your ordering from FT your getting the Hotcig version , no if's and's or butts . Thats not a bad thing because i have heard a lot saying it's fantastic and they like it better than their Cloupor and i have heard many Cloupor owners saying they like theirs more than the FT model .
Depends who you talk to , it's just individual opinions , nothing more nothing less.
The Cloupor buttons are perfectly fine imo , no issues at all with sore fingers (well slammed my finger in a door so my finger is sore) but not due to Cloupor mod.
I've heard of some that have. There was mention of it earlier in the thread. Try the search thread function.

I think I may have a USA made clone with the real dna30 chip and a cloned body. anyone know if that's possible? Is cloupor an American company?

I think the first sample rip trippers was sent by illvapes said hana when it booted up.
I spoke with a few who do have the Cloupor and Hotcig versions, they try to sell there Cloupor and ordered already a few other colors Hotcigs... heavy!

That logo, it's k doesnt bothering me but seems a lot. people don't like it, even the DIY enclosure case do have that logo
I don't know if you knew about this, but there are already 1K lipo batteries available, that will be 2x1000mAh, that not bad at all.
