Me thinks we've been had. I know I ordered the Tobeco clone and that it was advertised on their site as being "Tobeco". However, I just looked back at my order and there is no mention of "Tobeco". In addition, the current listing says nothing of "Tobeco". I will still complain, but it's probably going to be an uphill battle.

Oh we've been had .... Last night when I emailed efun support I copied and pasted this from their website as part of the email>

Package:
1 x kayfun Mini V3 by Tobeco

This morning I had a response and it said they shipped what I ordered. Did not respond at all to me saying it wasn't a Tobeco brand as listed. And sure enough like you said, this morning it's just listed as:

Package:
1 x kayfun Mini V3

There's now also a picture of the kayfun next to a black Svoe box. The picture was obviously taken from the Creme de Vape website as it still has their watermark behind the images.

methinks they changed the listing after getting my complaint .... they're quick and shrewd ... grrrr

Well just to close the loop on the Tobeco V3's I ordered from efun . top ... I never got a reply from them after my second email to their support. So I opened a dispute w/ PP. This is the reply I got from PP finding in my favor. I would have preferred efun kicked back the refund but at least got the refund.

We've completed our review and decided this case in your favor. Due to the unique circumstances of this case, PayPal is issuing you this refund at no cost to your seller. You will receive a $24.98 USD refund. The refund amount should reflect in your PayPal balance within 5 business days, if not sooner. If you paid with a credit card, the money is refunded to your credit card. Please note that it can take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your card statement.

I need some advise...

I got a Mini V3 from Fastech. I had a problem with the JC not opening. It would just spin, but not open up and you guessed it, nothing but dry burnt experience.

Rebuilt it for a forth time and again no spin, this time the chimney is stuck to the base. I cant get it to budge. I probably over tightened it trying to get it to do anything.

Anyone have this happen to them? Any tricks?

It is really nicely made and was easy to set up. Taste was great till the liquid dried up. It is a nice "no logo" mini V3. Its a shame that it had the JC problem.

I got this one:

$12.98 Kayfun Mini V3 Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 2ml / 316 stainless steel + glass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have to say it's one of the best vapes Ive ever had…flavour is excellent.

However Im getting minimal leakage when I fill the tank. I close the JFC fully, fill with juice….then I screw on the top cap. When I the grab the base around the holes to open the JFC, that's when my fingers get soiled with juice that has leaked out….like I said, it's not a lot, i usually wipe it with a tissue and then there isn't any leakage.

Any idea why this is happening….faulty o-ring, perhaps?

Try using something made of rubber that will allow you a better grip to get it to open.

Hmm, well I just did the leak fix this guy on FT said worked for him. Leaking when refill fix: FastTech Forums

Widened it out put it together and filled it up. No leaks through the holes. I do have some very slight abrasions in a circular pattern above the AFC holes due to the pliers but you can only really see them in good lighting. I should have tried this a week ago when I saw his post.

Im getting some annoying seepage when filing….tried the trick of inverting it while screwing on the cap after top filling…only got a drop of seepage….about 90% less than before.

The method you've described above looks like a make or break solution…any chance I could just ruin the tank by doing this….Id much rather not.

I suppose it could be ruined if you go too far, and it did leave slight abrasions where the pliers gripped the base. It seems to have fixed the issue though. I use it in my rotation. If it wasnt a cheap clone Im sure I wouldnt have tried it, but the leaking was excessive enough on every fill up that I deemed it unusable. I really wasnt interested in going through the refund/exchange process with FT for $12.

Honestly, if it was only leaking a drop as yours is now I would not have messed with it.

Slight leaking question

I have 4 mini 3's
All seem to have a puddle of liquid under them
Not much and it does not go down the sides much
Is this normal?
Thanks
They are 316's from focalecigs ( no brand name)
Neither of mine ($12 FT clone, SKX clone) have leaked from the bottom to date.

Yea….I don't have the courage to do it….however…

I unscrewed the 510 plate at the bottom….and sure enough there was a li'l puddle of liquid there….gave it a wipe down, got a pair of pliers and tightened the nut that holds the airflow screw…it was not as tight as it could be…I guess they are not great sticklers for detail in shenzhen….. Fitted it all back, rewicked and no leaks this time.

Before I recoil it, I am going to have to strip it down and clean up the insides…must be a mess in there.

Im now looking at massive leaking with my brand new Kayfun V3 Plus 1.5.

The JFC on this version is fine…tightens up fully (unlike Troll Dragon's)…..all o-rings are present….and in pretty good shape from what I see. My wicking is the same I employ for my Kayfun Mini V3 (same size build decks)

After top filling, when I open the JFC, after a couple of minutes it floods the deck and it leaks massively through the airholes …. I have checked the seals on the chimney where the drip tip goes in….totally fine. My top cap also has the filed off section to release air pressure.

The only thing that sticks out is that the deck/base seems to tighten to the chimney very smoothly when I turn it. Almost too smoothly…my smaller Mini V3 has a little bit of play.

Don't know what could be wrong…any advice?

My guess is there is a bad o-ring somewhere and you are loosing vacuum.

Check the picture and make sure they are all there, it's for the regular version but should be similar on the Plus.

Thanks TD….I took the schematic above to an o-ring shop and replaced every o-ring on the damn thing…except the one that holds the centre post at the bottom of the base.

Just about every o-ring I removed was flaccid and loose…the new ones sit snug and tight…these china clone makers are using the crappiest o-rings possible…by the looks of it.

I'll test it out soon and report how it went.

Remove the bottom and put the bottom of the top portion on the palm of your hand. Suck on the tip and block it with your tongue. It should stick to your tongue like a tick. If it doesn't, it's going to leak. Check the o-rings.

Ok so i changed out ALL the o-rings on the KF Plus 1.5 and gave it a whirl…

dry as a bone….:)

although just to be sure, I turned it upside down after filling and giving the top cap a couple of spins….tightened the top cap fully, and opened the JFC before righting the atty. Pretty relieved as I thought I was stuck with a turkey….Id be lost without all the great help and tips Ive received on this forum so thanks a bunch y'all.

I think I elevated the coil a bit too much though…getting good flavour but nowhere as intense as the one on my Merlin. No complaints though….with this I don't think i need a KF5 and its slightly airy vape…i love a tight ciggie-like draw and the KF Plus delivers in spades….btw even the screw in that hole had ....ty threads so I swapped it out for a smoother one….opened it just about 90º from fully shut and that's the airflow setting I like.

Looks great on the Evic VTwo Mini.
