Yes…this is too good an atty to give up on.

Question on overnight storage:

When you set your Kayfuns aside for the night, is it necessary to close off the JFC?
I only close off the JFC on brand new rta's till they prove they are not leakers. Sometimes I also shutoff the JFC for non standard trial builds.

If you have any worries, then close off the JFC overnight for peace of mind versus a possible mod/desk cleanup... ;)

I've been using the KM3 for about a week now. It's my first RTA/building experience so far. I was having some issues with it at first but with the help of the awesome people from this forum, I got things to finally start working for me.

THEN I found this thread. My first glance at 149 pages of info, I thought to myself "ha, there's no way I'm gonna read all that.." I started reading the first few pages whenever I had free time in the day. SEVERAL days later I've finished reading this whole thread! I'm glad that I did too. Just about every question I had about this tank is answered in this thread somewhere and I've learned so much... not only through my own trial and error, but everyone else's too :D After reading 149 pages over several days, I feel like I deserve some kind of Xbox achievement or something lol.

Anyways.... I thank all of you good people in this thread for all the information and tips.

Now I think I may want a Merlin :D Are they a good MTL vape?

Some people say they are MTL, some say not. On both of mine, I made mine more restricted by rolling some SS mesh and put it in the air tube. I like a tight draw.

I like the Merlins more than all my Kayfuns. I find they give more flavor and are a lot easier to build. That is just my own opinion tho. Try one and see for yourself...

Ok, thanks guys/gals!

Nooooooooo Katya Nooooooo! Not another 135 pages! Noooooooo! :D

Oh yeah... one more question. People were talking about how they sanded/scratched some areas of their black KM3 clones that were making a bad connection and their resistance was fluctuating. Could someone that did this post pics showing that exact area? Or just draw some arrows on a pic showing those areas? It would be greatly appreciated. I think mine is alright, but I want to make for certain.

Which black version do you have? The Tobeco version is fine. I had to sand (grind) the finish off the FT no-name black clone.

This version didn't anodize the 510 part but inside is where you need to grind off the finish where it and the base touch.

Yes, it's the no name clone from FT. The square block on mine is painted. NOT like in the pic. The only bare spot is where the threads are.

Just so I understand... The place they clean is the backside (inside) of the square block and then the bottom side of the deck (where the square block meets) around where the center post nut tightening down thingy is?

Sorry for the bad description. I've been living up to my username this evening :p

Hey guys and gals. I have a v3 from 3fvape. Nice machining, came clean, easy to build on. Just one thing keeps me from using this as a daily driver: it builds up vacuum in the tank. I get about 5-6 good pulls and if I don't loosen the top cap to relieve the pressure, the wick will start drying up.

Any advice where to start trouble shooting? I have done the standard: tighten the top cap after flipping the atty over, different builds, etc...

Juice too thick?
I had to do that all the time with the Kayfun 4 using thicker juice.

I'm new to this tank, so don't listen to me haha. I have this same problem sometimes when I chain vape. I take long/slow inhales.. probably around 6-10 seconds long. When I do this multiple times in a row it will dry out the wick a little. What I have been doing is blocking all the air holes with my fingers and take a small dry inhale, then release your fingers. Every time I do this I will see a much larger air bubble come up than the usual air bubble. I've also noticed that even when I'm not chain vaping, the air bubble sometimes won't come through until I've held the tank/mod at an angle so it can escape the air holes. When opening my juice control I always back it out 2 1/4 turns using 40/60 pg/vg, so it should be PLENTY open enough for the type of juice I'm using. I just want to be sure that the wick is getting all the juice it can so it isn't dry... but I'm scared of opening it up any more than that haha.

Again... I'm new to this tank, so I'm still learning about it through trial and error every day. :) The experts here can help you more than I can, I just thought I would come here and say that the same kind of thing happens to me sometimes ;)

FWIW mine is open 2 1/2 turns but I have gone as far as 3.Alot depends on your pull and watts. You can open it over 4 turns before it will disengage though.;)
Next time I clean mine I will count exactly how many turns it takes to remove the jfc.
