I don't disagree with anything you say. There is something really, really nice about the combination of a nice Kayfun on a Prothingy.

But I just switched from that combo to an Eleaf GS tank on my Cool Fire 4, and that's nice too. Very nice and easy. Effortless. Crack a blister pack open, fill 'er up and off you go. Push one button and you see your volts, watts, resistance and battery status; 2600mAh battery. Doesn't purr, but a pretty nice vape nonetheless. My Aspire BVC coils are really lovely in my Subtank mini, too. Better than the Kanger coils, methinks. ;)

It's all good. vaping has come a long way since our 180mAh cigalikes and burning cartomizers. And it's a good thing. There's a perfect setup for everyone. The trick is to find it. :)

And I VERY much love my CF4, too, with almost any tank on it! It's all about moods for me.*

*moods = full tank, full batt, blah blah blah.

I'm ALWAYS happy to pop open a blister pack and drop in a coil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Makes me happy and takes very little time.

Svoemesto has released an improved deck insulator for the Kayfun mini V3 that resolves the issue of the moving deck when tightening.

Alterüberprüfung

Hopefully someone here in the U.S. will carry it along with original o-rings.
Good to know. Thanks.

I guess I see things a little differently from others. To me it's just a minor inconvenience. Good to know it's there in case it becomes more of a problem, though.

Aha! So I'm not the only one thinking that it's a flawed design. Good for SM--they recognized their mistake and are trying to fix it. Verbesserten Deckisolator (improved deck insulator). :toast:

So I was right--they must have received a lot of complaints about Kurzschlüsse.

(I think they read this thread)

Of course they are--the "original" thread inhabitants just love everything about the atty. One is not allowed to criticize anything over there.

It's a minor inconvenience--unless you get a Kurtzschluss on a mech.

I guess so. I don't use mechs, so didn't consider it. Don't think I ever will - unless the FDA goes crazy on us. :)

Guess I'll see on the next 2 that I have coming. I don't think the block on the one I have is going anywhere.

I read that whole mess a last week. I'm sad to say that I lost a lot of respect for Qorax after reading that. Still think he did the best KM3 review, tho.

[Edit: Just came across the "new" authentic KM3 thread that Katya is probably referencing. The thread I refer to above is the old one that was closed by a moderator.]

Hi everyone, I followed all your suggestions, and I am still getting dry hits. My juice is 75%vg, 4% distilled water and 21% pg.

I am posting a picture of my wick just to show that I am using a minimum amount of rayon with the tails trimmed down to a minimum. Juice holes are all clear.

I do not believe however that my problem lies with the wick. Juice is simply not flowing into the chamber regardless of the wick. I tried tightening the air flow control to produce higher suction, and still no dice. Nor does it help if I turn juice flow 4 full rounds. There is a lack of vacuum somewhere, even though I have replaced and lubed all the o-rings. HELP !!

I've never had the good fortune to try rayon and I've seen/read some rayon users recommend the you only put a small amount of rayon on the deck of a dripper, but it sure seems to me like you don't have nearly enough wicking on the deck. I don't claim to be an expert though.

Have you tried MsLoud's cotton build?

Does your JFC turn smoothly and easily? Are you seeing any leakage? Just want to rule out o-ring issues, which can cause lack of vacuum. Have you tried putting a bone dry wick in there and just letting it sit for a few minutes, then checking it? If it's saturated you'll know that the problem is not lack of juice flow.

@Exchaner ^^ what MagicM said.. and FWIW have you tried to blocking the 4 air-holes and drawing on it to see if it is getting air somewhere (like a o-ring) if it's tight..blow into it with the air-holes covered to see if you get air bubble that way.. (maybe) if all good..I'd take another look at that wick..

I think it's only good today.
With rayon the tails are supposed to be as thin as possible. The problem is, no juice is reaching the tails...
Have you tried it with a half tank of liquid? just trying to help... Has to be something simple that we are all missing here.

Hey I just got my KFMv3 an want to know what build seem to be working out for every one and what watts are you pushing it at?
I use a 2.5mm id coil with Kanthal with 6/7 wraps evenly spaced wicked with Japanese cotton vaping mine at 10-12 watts. I use 100% PG liquids only.
