@ricks- Did you ever get the 3.5ml KF3 mini from FT. Is so how is it (anyone that has it chime in please). Fixing to order one 19mm for my VTR ( I have the ring modded to 19.5 already), and a 22mm/3.5ml for my other mods.
I just ordered 2 on May 1st with the 15% off deal from FT. I hope they are made with the same quality as the 2ml ones I got from 3F. Anyone here who got the Plus ones have any issues?

Getting some very slight leaking from the bottom of my 4278000 and my 4475900 Plus. Not from the center pin, but from perimeter of the square insert. I seem to remember someone posting a similar issue earlier, but can't find it yet. Initially, the center pin and block were tight and secure, but I'll check again next time I have the tank off. Anyone else seeing this?
OK, so I tightened up the center pin on both before re-wicking. The regular KFM3 seems to be OK now, but strangely, the Plus is now leaking from the air holes! Both have nearly identical coils and wicks. Hoping it's just residual from something I did while re-wicking/filling. I was not ready to do a complete disassembly- maybe next time if I'm still having issues.

To all the nice folks who've said "You can throw any build in them and they work great." and "They're very forgiving." and "No matter how I wick it it works great." I say Horse Hooey!

If you're a flavor hound like me, it takes some trial and error to get there. Here's what I've learned so far, with cotton wicks and micro coils:

> I can't pre-saturate the ends of the wick before inserting in the juice cups- this method works great with my KFL+, but these puppies just doesn't wick well that way. As others have said, the ends need to be wispy and just reach the bottom of the well. Too much wick in the well = less flavor.

> I'm still not sold on the theory of big fat shoulders near the coil. For me this seems to create a bottleneck, inhibiting good flow. Cotton is a great reservoir, but a lousy conductor, so it seems to me that the shortest, least inhibited route from the well to the wick works best.

> And of course, as with any wick, not too loose in the coil or you'll get the flavor of a burnt fork, and not too tight or you'll get very little flavor at all.

Does your JFC turn smoothly and easily? Are you seeing any leakage? Just want to rule out o-ring issues, which can cause lack of vacuum. Have you tried putting a bone dry wick in there and just letting it sit for a few minutes, then checking it? If it's saturated you'll know that the problem is not lack of juice flow.

I tried everything. Didn't find a vacuum leak. No leak of liquid either. Still getting dry hits.

Have you tried it with a half tank of liquid? just trying to help... Has to be something simple that we are all missing here.

It's a little better with half a tank, but not by that much. I get better flow into the chamber if I turn the AFC extremely tight. It creates stronger suction.

My problem might be the brand of vg I am using. Essential Depot is known for being thicker than others. I thin it down by 5% before use in my mix (75%vg). I might have to thin it down even lower.

Next I will try a thinner juice with the same exact wick to see what happens....

I am beginning to think, this tank is not designed for thicker juices.

That could be it. It appears that the juice holes in the tank section of at least some of the clones are smaller than in the authentic:

I was hoping someone who uses high vg liquids would pipe in here. I only use 50/50 pg/vg blends.
