Katdarling, FWIW, this has been my standard TC troubleshooting regimen: First, I put down the spiteful TC set up that refuses to work right out of meanness and have a vape or two on a faithful stand-by that's familiar and broken in and just "gets me." This calms me down and is slowly replacing my previous first step, which was shouting "What is wrong with you?" at the TC set up in increasingly higher pitches until eventually summoning the dog. Sometimes, that's as far as I get for a day or two and I'm okay with that. Step two is to pick up the TC again whenever the spirit moves me and start over with a new coil and hope it works this time. I'm pretty new at this. Yeah, I know - it's not much of a regimen, but life is short and this is supposed to be enjoyable, right?
That should not have happened regardless the 25W. Is it possible you were in Ni TC mode instead of SS TC?
Anyway I strongly suggest a mod which allows you to set the max wattage. I find it quite unpleasant when the initial wattage is significantly higher than the average wattage applied.

Lava, I think I lava you! You are abstolutely on board with my way of thinking! Where we veer tho, is the "pick up the TC again ... and start over with a new coil".
I am really happy with all my vapes, but that's NOT to say I won't try it again. If/when I do, I will jump in here and take directions from my darling TC gurus! (Again, my thanks to you guys..... I mean that sincerely.)

Nope, I was definitely on SS mode on both mods. Both being a CF4 '650, and a Rolo 75w.
The Rolo would disallow TC with a coil above 1.5ohms. Silly Rolo. Silly Rules.AND!!!!!!!!! Yes, this is the KFM klown thread!! My apologies! How bout them KFMinis, eh?

ROFLMAO! [Really!]If it's too hot, lower the temp, not the wattage.
If it's gonna leak, Id rather see the signs before hand rather than have it dump a load of juice on my lap.
The problem ones only flood when you have the top off to fill them, other than that they don't leak.
Yes if you close it off completely, you can hold it up to a light and see it shine through the chimney juice slots on the defective ones.
E-liquid loss problems, gurgle(gurgling).

FT has shipped out my replacement base for the Plus 1.5, which has a 22.5mm diameter base and fits on the Pico perfectly.
The replacement base they are sending is this one which has a 23.5mm diameter and might not fit the Pico. It could be a typo from FT but I will update when it gets here. They shipped it out Singapore Post and that is usually 4-5 weeks getting here.
This is a fully closed defective unit for those that want an easy test to find out.
