Feh. Just noticed a few hours ago at work that my Tobeco is leaking through the 510 connection. And into the 510 on my SX Mini. Then I checked the istick 30w and saw a nice droplet of juice in its 510. This was only my 4th tank with the V4 and I was really enjoying it. I don't think it was leaking before tonight but I can't say for sure. Not too happy right now. I'm glad I didn't order anymore, at least for now. Not sure what could be causing it. I think my wicking is fine, no dry hits or gurgling or anything like that. Chain vaped it and still no hiccups. I have the AFC screw still in, though it's backed out a good bit.

Garemlin, did you ever figure out a solution for your 510 leak?

Sorry, but can someone refer me to a list of the sizes and a good source for spare o-rings for a Tobeco Kayfun V4?

Gotta say, as I waste money on other devices, that my initial pretty ignorant pick of a Tobeco Kayfun V4 clone with a mechanical Nemesis tube clone sure worked out.

This is the best vaping I've had in years. The engineering and the 41 parts in the Kayfun V4 are there for good reason. As I look at the other tank RBAs, it seems pretty likely that for a flavor freak this is head and shoulders above the others.

It irks me that some operators in China are profiting from SvoeMesto's effort ... though not quite enough to pay $200 for one.

The o-ring store for the replacements.

Just grab the sizes off the drawing

I've heard this a few times but looking at the schematics i can't see how the juice wound get into the 510? Via the juice control "deck" maybe? Bad o-ring there?

Shouldn't #2 stop any liquid from getting thru? If mine was leaking, I'd replace that also with #16. Also make sure #1 is tight enough

#2 is an insulator, while it would hinder the juice leaking it isn't going to stop it.
Having #1 tight is good but again will only slow it.

Looks like my Tobeco Kayfun V4 clone was just delivered so i'll get my hands on it after work.

I wanted to check in with the V4 clone vets here and see if there are any must-do's... tips/tricks... etc. i should be aware of with this Tobeco clone... or any V4 clone for that matter.

I have no hands on experience with the V4 however i am a very experienced atomizer builder and have loads of all the previous Kayfuns as well. I've watched all the review and operation videos on YouTube but i figure my fellow ECF members know best.

So... what do you guys think?

^^^^ clean it good, don't put the parts down the drain, poke every hole as you assemble and lastly........enjoy

Should i do a full, 100% tear down to clean? I wasn't sure if it was worth it to take apart the lower "510" #'s 2-11 sections if i'm only ever going to use it in 510 mode. I guess it can't hurt and might be good in case there is machine oil down there.

Funny you say down the drain... the last Kayfun i purchased... fill screw down the drain on initial build... a minute later the replacement... yup, down the same drain. Luckily i have a ton of Kayfun parts lol.

 Sorry bud but I had to laugh at that. Don't get me started on the amount of Erl parts that have gone down my drains.

Lol yeah I started to use the drain plug now and a huge Pyrex bowl full of water and soap... Double safety catch in case I derp and drop a screw or small piece.

You also have something called a trap under the sink, that most likely would allow you to recover said parts if you stopped immediately and opened it and retrieved them. :vapor:

True. I have retrieved several metal parts from the trap but if an o-ring goes down there, it's bye bye, I don't care how quickly you shut off the water.

Yeah i thought about that but with it just being those tiny Kayfun fill screws... and with me having a baggie of them... i wasn't too upset. More just a ... moment at it happening... then happening again as im telling myself watch the sink lol.

you are right, if you save a insulator or o-ring from a full flow faucet run you are really good! But metals usually give you a chance to recoup them. :)
