I pocket carry the kayfun in my avatar on tge side. In 15-16 months vaping the little beastie i woukd say it has leaked 1 ml or less in Temperature from 45-117 degrees Fahrenheit.

My Kayfun Mini V3 leaked lime a sieve unless i closed the juice Wells.

Was super happy Someone wanted it and paid me for it.
Yes, but yours was not indicative of the Mini V3. Since you had a gap around the o-ring at the top of the chimney, it was bound to leak because you had no seal. The same would happen with any version. A properly built and assembled mini v3 won't have that problem.

I am confused why there is a debate about the KF mini v3 on a KF V5 thread. Also @Two_Bears i am interested why you slate Svoe mesto but admit there design is that good it is what you use.
Simple.

Svoemesto invented the Kayfun, and every thing worked through 3.1.

Then they made tge version 4 that sucked.

Then they made the Mini V3, and then the Kayfun 5.

I HATE that _____ wall around the deck. Makes proper wicking a real pain in the _____.

Flavor not that much better if any

They did improve the airflow on the Mini v3 so you can get a restrictive Lung hit.

On my Mini V3 tge screw heads were so small i could not use wire thicker than 28 gauge

This issue is very weird ... and all explanations so far did not give me a reasonable cause.
KFL - Never leaks when laid down
KF 4 - Never leaks when laid down (top filling and JFC fully open)
KF mini V3 - Mine never leaks when laid down - same design as KF5 - Others reported leaking
KF V5 - Mine leaks when laid down. Tried all suggestions. It may not leak for a day or two, but then it leaks. Others reported it never leaks !!
Is there a quality control issues ? Is there a design issue with V5 ? BTW, I have all authentic.
I see there are allot of answers already but ill chime in. I had the same issue with mine, one authentic and one clone. I found that I needed to use more wick than I normally would on any RTA and it fixed the issue. Dont know how much help that is but thats what fixed my problem. I always had a wet spot around the base of the atty coming out of the air holes. I also found that rayon seemed to work better than cotton for some reason.

Yeah, version 4 sucked and I haven't tried version 5 because I'm not hearing great things about it. I admit that the wall around the juice well in the mini v3 could be considered problematic, but I actually prefer it over the old kayfuns where you had try and keep the wick from getting snagged and in staying in position when putting the atomizer chamber back on.

The big improvements in the mini v3 were eliminating the whistling so that you're not calling every dog in the neighborhood, top filling, the ability to remove the deck and re-wick it with the juice still in the tank, and the juice shut off so that you can store it in your case without leaking issues. I even preferred the smaller amount of juice it held. The only reason I switched to the plus version was asthetics. I thought the wider tank looked better on my provari.

The only reason I haven't tried the mini V3 was the lowered juice capacity. I'm too used to 4.5ml in my tank so that I can leave the house and seldom have to dig into my little backup container of juice, screwdriver, and spare battery. It's there if I need it, but I seldom do.

Top fill is convenient in that you don't run the risk of losing the screw in the car.

Tge problem with the pain in the ____ wall is getting the tails on the Juice wells to prevent flooding.

Actually I don't find that to be a problem, since I don't use the wicking to control flooding. The only problem I've had with wicking is blocking the juice holes. That caused dry hits. As long as I'm not doing that, it performs flawlessly regardless of how long or short my wicks are.

Yeah I have the Authentic and some Clones, never an issue with leaking. Super easy to build and wick, wonderful to use, excellent flavor and zero leaking.

I suspect the leaking issues are due to possibly borked up o-rings or something.

The design of the V5 is brilliant IMO

Sad to say I've moved on from the Kayfun fan club. Gave my units to a nephew willing to use 'em. (Poor basturd).

My o-ring changeout seemed to help but it's still too hit and miss. One finally leaked inside my vape bag; what a mess. Hard to keep it "upright" in there.

Damn you gravity. Had high hopes for the KF5. A lot less moving parts than V4.

Back to my trusty Nautilus's (Nautili?). 5 ml's capacity, bottom filler and minimal o-rings. Uglier than a sack of buttholes but they have never leaked on me.
