I bought 2, a black and a gold, and both come with #9 pre loosened. Tightening it stops the JC from turning when #1 is tightened. So not a tank for those who don't know the work rounds. I'm surprised that this problem still exists after all this time. Since a new #8 from GB solved this for my Tobeco, I've ordered another one to see if it solves it for this one. One day I'll get round to measuring a good #8 against a bad one.
Anyone done this?
No leaks so far.
juice channels in the deck are bigger than stock - I can fit a 14ga syringe down them, all the way on some, most of the way on others. No sign of obstruction in juice channels and no burrs at bottom. Some are machined slightly off centre, but my guess is that won't matter cos they're larger. (I think one or two of the jc's are off true on my Tobeco also and that's responsible for dry hits.)
afc screw has no slotted head, but a philips fits it fine for adjustment. At first I thought it was a fault, but it's on both so is probably a "feature".
Threads Ok - a bit squeaky at first but lubed with juice and they're settling in fine.
Drip tips a bit tight, I'm guessing one of the oring grooves is not deep enough.
It is not apparent from the pics, but there's a SM logo on the "SM ring". No logo on SS tank.
A perfectly adequate tank for someone who knows their way round a K4 clone. It would get top marks for price if it didn't have the base problem.

There should be an O-ring sealing the top of the chimney to the bell cap.
My Infinite has been shipped from FT, can't wait.

I had it apart again today. I am pretty sure 1-11 is in pretty good shape. That said parts, 3 and 5 have some side to side play that my FT A does not have. I guess I could swap top caps (34-40) out on them and see if it cures the 316 and makes the FT A leak. I left it at work today, I still vape it but always keep the mod standing straight up. I will clean her up again in the morning and try again.

So I decided to see what the fuss was all about and ordered a Kayfun 4 clone from the recent "group buy" on Focal Ecig. $13 was to hard to pass up. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this version. If it's a dud, no big deal.

Some have said the red O-ring attys aren't as good as their black O-ringed brethren but whether there's any substance to that or noe I personally do not know, having never had a red O-ring atty. IIRC there are less spare parts shipped w/the red version.
In any event, there are a couple areas to look out for. One is O-ring #16 being a tad too small allowing some juice leakage. Another involves the juice control ring.
Be sure to clean your v4 thoroughly before use as some come with some vile smelling machining oil on them. Otherwise, they seem to work very good although some find the airflow restricted. There are fixes for this- either buying a subohm kit (aka "s kit") or DIY drilling, which has been posted about already.

Lots of people have talked about machine oil residue in their KV4's out of the box. My Tobeco was absolutely squeaky clean with no smell or residue anywhere. I did have to work the threads back and forth to break them in, but there was only stainless steel, no oil at all. Maybe they've started running them through a solvent bath and wiping them down to remove the oil after hearing complaints.
All 5 of mine had some degree of machine oil on them. The FC and FT generics were the worst but the 2 Tobecos and the SS316 had a bit of oil on them.
My Tobecos all seemed pretty oil free for the most part, maybe a faint hint of it, but they all got a hot water/Dawn bath anyways.
