As another member posted- it might be condensation in the center pin. Did you try running it w/the air control set screw removed? The $ 20 Tobeco Kayfun 4 clone never leaked externally and never completely flooded .... I just could never get this clone to stop gurgling no matter how it was wicked. Replaced all the O-rings too, but no help.
On the other hand, my $9.50 EHPro Kayfun Lite-Plus (dual airflow) clone has been perfect in every way (now have a 2nd one on order).
Well as the old saying goes "one man's trash is another man's treasure"
That's a fact ... Unfortunately, this Kafun clone won't be going to anyone else
I equate gurgling with flooding, which is usually operator induced with the fill valve, neither closed nor open fully when filling. Experienced with my wife, so don't take it wrong.
"fill valve" = "liquid control", tomato = tamato. Yup.No "fill valve" on the Kayfun 4, but I always fully closed the "liquid control" when filling, and fully opened it when using the atty.
In last page , I talked about that.. My EHPRO and tobeco k4 had suffered from gurgling since the beginning. I tried everything, until I tried to lower the wattage, and it works for me..Yup ... Adjusted the airflow screw in every position possible to include completely removing it once.
Gurgling was with using 60% VG / 40% PG DIY juice.
I must have stripped this atty down 20 times total and used short, medium, and long Japanese cotton wicks (to include silica rope wicks) ... always started to gurgle after about 15 minutes of use.
Didn't make any difference if the tank was filled full or even half-full (always filled with the juice control in the 'Off' position)
And I can tell you for sure ... This atty was assembled correctly every time.
I just gave up on it ... Life is too short
SS, if yyou would pls. take a look to see if there's a self adhesive "dot" on the front of the box. We got some from Vapor Range a while back, ones having a white dot had brushed finishes; no dot represented a polished version.I checked the 4 boxed Tobeco's in my nest, no woblers in the bunch, 2 polished, one brushed, and one blue. I wish I would have grabbed some of the cheap oring kits. I would imagine support for these will dry up. If anyone sees a deal on them give a heads up. I have a few and a bunch of the glass tanks for my wife, who hasn't smashed one since I bought them. I use the stainless tank, I like the look.![]()
The batch of Tobeco's from Vapor Bank aren't very good. I guess that's why they're $3.99. There's a slight wobble and #16 needed to be changed (swapped out with 12 x 1.5mm). The wobble isn't bad but noticeable since I have a few that are perfect.
I've been wanting someone to put out a standard sized (5ml) bell top for KFs for a long time. I wonder why it hasn't been done (other than the $$$ glass one that was around).... That said, it see's way less use than my other K4's due to small juice capacity.![]()
