The $ 20 Tobeco kayfun 4 clone never leaked externally and never completely flooded .... I just could never get this clone to stop gurgling no matter how it was wicked. Replaced all the O-rings too, but no help.

On the other hand, my $9.50 EHPro kayfun Lite-Plus (dual airflow) clone has been perfect in every way (now have a 2nd one on order).

As another member posted- it might be condensation in the center pin. Did you try running it w/the air control set screw removed?

Yup ... Adjusted the airflow screw in every position possible to include completely removing it once.

Gurgling was with using 60% VG / 40% PG DIY juice.

I must have stripped this atty down 20 times total and used short, medium, and long Japanese cotton wicks (to include silica rope wicks) ... always started to gurgle after about 15 minutes of use.

Didn't make any difference if the tank was filled full or even half-full (always filled with the juice control in the 'Off' position)

And I can tell you for sure ... This atty was assembled correctly every time.

I just gave up on it ... Life is too short

That's a fact ... Unfortunately, this Kafun clone won't be going to anyone else

That's a shame. Any number of "Kayfun whisperers" here could have rehabbed her. I equate gurgling with flooding, which is usually operator induced with the fill valve, neither closed nor open fully when filling. Experienced with my wife, so don't take it wrong. Pop rocks while vaping is the juice boiling on the coil. I like this effect, I'm weird.

No "fill valve" on the Kayfun 4, but I always fully closed the "liquid control" when filling, and fully opened it when using the atty.

I checked the 4 boxed Tobeco's in my nest, no woblers in the bunch, 2 polished, one brushed, and one blue. I wish I would have grabbed some of the cheap oring kits. I would imagine support for these will dry up. If anyone sees a deal on them give a heads up. I have a few and a bunch of the glass tanks for my wife, who hasn't smashed one since I bought them. I use the stainless tank, I like the look.;)

In last page , I talked about that.. My EHPRO and tobeco k4 had suffered from gurgling since the beginning. I tried everything, until I tried to lower the wattage, and it works for me..

New innovation or just improvements in the v4 will make me want to try a v5. Different design with a couple more MLS, maybe a little more airflow, easier deck (velocity ish), stuff like that, and just because I'm a fan boy I suppose since all my drippers and other rta's just collect dust now.

Just got my vapor Bank 3.99 clone at it seems to be working very well for me. I don't have any other kayfuns to compare it to but am having nothing but great vapes with it. Have already filled it twice and not a drop of leaking.

SS, if yyou would pls. take a look to see if there's a self adhesive "dot" on the front of the box. We got some from Vapor Range a while back, ones having a white dot had brushed finishes; no dot represented a polished version.

I know yours are okay but for anyone else, fixing the wobble:

It's been awhile but fasttech had a multi sized o ring set that some would use. If I find the item number I'll post it later

Edit:I can't find the assorted pack anymore. They may have discontinued, but thy do have specific sized 20 packs for less than a buck each.... while you wait for shipping from wherever try a few wraps of dental floss under the o ring. That's what I do and it works as well... getting it wet with juice helps handling it too.

Somewhere out there
The batch of Tobeco's from Vapor Bank aren't very good. I guess that's why they're $3.99. There's a slight wobble and #16 needed to be changed (swapped out with 12 x 1.5mm). The wobble isn't bad but noticeable since I have a few that are perfect.

I'm very pleased with the ones I got from VB. This is my first experience with a KF4 and it beats the KFLs I was very happily using until now. I've built up 2 of them. One did leak around the metal mid-tank section, I put in the glass section instead and now it's leak-free. It sounded gurgly initially, so I raised the coil higher from the deck and now it's fine. The other I put together with the m-tank and it's fine at home and usually in the car. Every now and then it will decide to leak a bit going in and out of the cold. I imagine if I developed a habit of opening and closing the liquid control it would take temperature changes better, but I'm afraid I'll forget to open LC and burn the wick.

No wobble, still using the stock o-rings. The liquid control is smooth enough, but not what I'd call silky smooth. Whatever machine oil there was on it was easily washed off.

I use rayon, 28ga wrapped on a 2.3mm screwdriver, around 1.5 ohms, 11 watts. Just for context, in case anyone cares.

Of the FT bell tops available I tried this one because I liked the drip tip it came with as well as needing a short chimney for a nano set up on a KFL +.
$3.98 Kayfun Bell Cap Kit w/ 510 Drip Tip - acrylic + stainless steel / Kaufun logo at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

It works fine on the K4 even though it wasn't meant for it. Unfortunately it has to be filled through the holes in the evaporation chamber but what ever hassle that is, is made up for by the aesthetic. That said, it see's way less use than my other K4's due to small juice capacity. :(

I've been wanting someone to put out a standard sized (5ml) bell top for KFs for a long time. I wonder why it hasn't been done (other than the $$$ glass one that was around).
